  1. Got my VF-11B today!
  2. Mine is on the way too, ordered from the HLJ sale!
  3. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'd buy a Dobber scheme SV-51 so HARD.
  4. My personal theory is that it doesn't sell well because it's magenta with gold stripes. It looks like a paint scheme from Fast and the Furious.
  5. Just ordered the VF-11B from the HLJ sale!
  6. VF-11B ordered!
  7. Marked down the Elint 30% right after I bought mine.
  8. Thanks for clearing that up. Up until now we were under the mistaken impression that you actually liked them.
  9. I'd like to see some photos of that if you wouldn't mind.
  10. 2400 Y = $27.03 US. That's still not going to be anywhere near 50% of the cost of a Yamato 1/60 valk, even with shipping, as you claimed. They also cost 5 times as much. I know you think that's worth it and the Revos are ugly and so on and so forth. These will be great for folks who don't want to invest the better part of $200 for a transforming VF-1 toy. Some people don't have that kind of money to spend. I have a lot of friends who think my Yamato valks are really pretty but they're not able or willing to drop the cash on one.
  11. You can buy the non-special case set at Target for the same price, as well. Anyway, maybe it's not free, but it's better than I would expect for the $10 extra. You can't get a decent Enterprise toy of this size for $10 anywhere.
  12. Nope, you can get the model with the DVDs too! I took a new photo and changed it in the time you quoted my post.
  13. DVD and Blu-Ray release day! I picked up the Target exclusive Blu-Ray set, which comes with this nifty Enterprise model that stores the discs in the saucer section. For being a "freebie" with the discs, it's actually a surprisingly good model. Everything snaps together firmly and is nice and straight. Lots of painted/printed details, and the nacelles have clear Bussard collectors on them.
  14. WTF dude? I bought Thrust because I like transforming toys of any kind, particularly aircraft. My collection consists of most of the first run of Classics TFs, a smattering of the Universe figures, Several Binaltechs and MP Convoy and ones and twos of various other Transformers over the years. I have 3 Yamato 1/60 valks: YF-21, Hikaru 1J, and VE-1. My entire collection fits in a single Detolf display case. I only buy figures if I like the way they look. I rarely buy repaints. I'm not a "collector". I'm not a completist. I don't have a collection anything like what you're describing.
  15. How enthusiastic should I be over a $10 toy? It's a pretty good, inexpensive figure and decent for a casual purchase.
  16. Seibertron.com seems to be unresponsive right now. It worked earlier today when I posted it.
  17. Agreed. In fact, there's a lot of stuff I'm not buying because it's yet another VF-1. However, I think from a business perspective they're a sure sale, and they're easy to repaint into the various signature colors.
  18. Three versions, actually. There's a BTTF 3 version coming soon with the big whitewall tires and 1950's tech on the hood.
  19. Picked up ROTF Thrust yesterday. He's a repaint of Breakaway, but there's no goofy neon colors or tribal patterns aside from some funky logos on the vertical stabs. I did the torso and neck mod and it helps. You can get the head up a little higher in bot mode and it can turn from side to side. Jet mode has the usual TF kibble beneath it, but it's nowhere near as severe as Universe Silverbolt or ROTF Jetfire. The only part I really dislike is the stupid toes on his feet. Crappy phone pic:
  20. That's just not accurate. They're capable of much more extreme poses than Yamato's valks, with joints granting a much wider range of motion. Here's a photo example. You could somewhat replicate this pose with a Yamato valk, but it wouldn't be the same. Photo by josearmando via Flickr They are nowhere near 50% the price of a Yamato valk. I got my Focker Strike VF-1S Revoltech for $32.50 shipped from BBTS. My Hikaru VF-1J was $155.00 shipped from Overdrive. My VE-1 was $200.00 shipped from Overdrive. That's 20% of the cost at most. Also, if I ordered from a place like HLJ, I'd be forced into the more expensive EMS for a Yamato valk, while the Revo could travel via the cheaper shipping option. Even if you live somewhere with more expensive shipping, I don't see how an item that costs 20% of the value could end up at 50% if you're comparing price + shipping for both items. I love my Yamato valks too, but Revoltechs are a completely different toy design with the priority more on a stylized look with high poseability.
  21. The BTTF 2 version has the hover conversion mode. I posted a movie link upthread demonstrating it. However, I believe it was an Entertainment Earth exclusive, which is sold out. You'll probably have to go on eBay or elsewhere to find it. It does look a bit plasticky, but for the money I think it's quite a lot of toy. You get hover mode converting wheels, both doors open, there's room for figures, and a lot of light features including the "time coils" on the exterior of the vehicle, the dashboard, the time circuits, and the flux capacitor.
  22. I'm sure there are all sorts of licensing issues with making Marty and Doc figures. $$$$$$$$$
  23. Wow, nicely done!
