  1. Well, the SAP would cover that ugly ass hinge.
  2. finally got some time to play around with my 19, I agree with almost everything said here but I don't find the transformation that daunting, I guess since it shares a lot with the Arcadia I found it much easier than the YF-29 and YF-30. I really like were Bandai is going, they still have some room to improve tough, those landing gears, was it so hard to paint them white? and they tampoed the whole plane but ignored the cockpit. I also found funny how they somehow implement a lot of gimmicks we were expecting on the Arcadia YF-19, its like they read our forums and took ideas from us to get the edge on certain gimmicks over the Arcadia.
  3. I should get mine during the weekend. Would like someone who already has this and the T-Rex booster add-ons for the Arcadia do a side by side comparison picture.
  4. Wow! Great photos!!!
  5. Same here, hey stop answering my e-mails, i filed a paypal complain but they somehow wanted me to return the "incomplete item" with proof of delivery and the complained expired. They promised me a blue max helmet and a replacement visor, I only got the blue max helmet at least.
  6. The piece is not broken, you have to take the middle tab out and insert the fin firmly to the tab and then set it in the leg. Make sure you set the fin with the tab in the right direction. Awesome pictures Saburo, why no clown hands?
  7. Thanks for the pics! I too so a slight pinkish hue
  8. I think the high prices and QC mistakes are putting a lot of us off.
  9. I have mine in private warehouse to try and get it shipped with the VF-0A. No rush for me to get it, I plan to custom with along with another GBP but I have no time right know for it. Glad to see it's the gray goggles version. Would have been suicide for Arcadia not to do so.
  10. There are many reasons why some people preffer x store to another one, I do not like the way Amiami does business, as well as AE, but that's just me. NIppon-Yassan has always been a last safe resort for me. Some people preffer to save a few pennies and some other rather pay more to assure he item will be delivered safely. For me, the best are HLJ and HKCollectibles (HKC helps with customs declarations). I for one am grateful we have this many options to choose to everyones particular needs. Macross Golden era!
  11. I got a YF-30 with one of those occasional HLJ bugs, so I hope it's the same case here. Placed the order. Thanks!
  12. Did anyone get their replacement parts? Masei pretty much just ignores every email or attempt to contact them.
  13. If its for the reactive armor, I hope they do something similar to the way the VF-17 leg fast packs attack on a slot that pushes a a filler tab.
  14. Nice pics! I like the gray! Bad price!
  15. I have several multiples but to display as squadrons of what was seen in the show and to use as customs. I would love to have 3 of each valk to display in every mode, but, too expensive, would take to much space and would defeat the purpose of a PT toy. I do plan in the future to do this but with 1/72 Hase's.
  16. More tampo indeed, the VF-1J CF was a great example of how awesome it would look, don't know why that "experiment" failed. waterslide decals to everything! I would appreciate if Arcadia would release 'fix up kits" like improved YF-19 ankle joints to replace instead of getting a whole new valk.
  17. Yamato acquired the VF-4 via the PS2 VFX game license. They said the VF-4 FB2012 Hikaru version was too dificult to get hence no FB2012 version. I doubt Big West gave the license just as a gift. From what I've seen Big West is very strict with their licensing. If I were to ventured a wild guest, Yamato could have leave pending payment for their last production run, could explain why there was a quality (in my opinion) downgrade and slight changes in their production by using a completely different factory avoiding their old. This is just a wild thought with no real basis, so don't take this as fact.
  18. Pretty much a hint to Arcadia to not f*ck it up with the VF-0S/A tampo.
  19. Someone should tell MrK the reactive armor would cover those crooked tampo marks!! win-win!
  20. Impressive!! love it! Great job
  21. I haven't taken mine out of the box too, the tampo is wildy missaligned hence why it goes beyond the panel line. More reason to give us waterslide decal sheets if they can't tampo things straight on a 300+ toy. That intake cover tab is an eyesore. Couldn't they find a more elegant solution? I should really take mine out of the box and check everything.
  22. There is a way to get the canopy out, separate de cockpit from the rest of the valk, use one of steam things (carefully) where the canopy hinge is set, this will loosen the glue a bit and use a small prying tool to very carefully pry it out slowly until it comes off. You do have to be very very careful to not break the canopy or dent the glued piece. Do not use a heat gun.
  23. Also, many people were expecting to be q shelf warmer due to its high price to try and get a better deal a few months later like with every other Yamato valk, when Yamato went bust, prices went up quickly and people payed desperately for it. I love my VF-4G, the best valk ever done.
  24. Has anyone gotten amy of the replacement visor or been in recent contact with Masei? I've e-mailed him twice and no answer.
