I was gonna ask the same question, the VF-4G was made to order. Has Arcadia actually confirm this somehow? or did we all just assume Arcadia is going this way since its safer business practice. I see a lot of VF-1J 30th still in stock and I'm sure as hell there be a lot of Arcadia VF-1S Roy and Hikaru left as shelf warmer because everyone and their mother already has one of these. Either way I'm preordering this on day one.

Orange!! Maybe we should call it the "close313 OJ valk" haha! Curious thing about the CF and Kakizaki brown, if I remember correctly, Yamato did it backwards, Kakizaki is a darker tan almost light brown and the CF's are a lighter tan shade. -
Definite price point I was expecting but not the one I was hoping for. Will get one for sure, probably two, depending if I'm not broke by April. roughly 7 months to put aside extra cash. I'm not too worried about all the extra parts, they are all small parts, the FP are only 4 pieces of plastic and the rest is all missiles so they can all go in a not too thick plastic housing like they always do with bundles, I just hope they try to make the box as sleek as the bird to help out on shipping. The scan there is a little dark, hope we get better pictures soon, the Yan figure look superb along with Isamu. No more eye popping Yan.

MickyG's Yamato VF-1S Unpainted, Unassembled Kit Build
Valkyrie addict replied to mickyg's topic in The Workshop!
B13 on the 30th isn't modded as far as I can tell, B13 is molded in black and I guess the tampo is so thin it doesn't rub at all. The pic I posted is of a custom of mine, I realized the mistake too late and was to lazy to fix it since it will be eternally in battroid. I think the best solution is to sand not B13 itself but the place it houses itself a couple mm off for the extra layer of paint to pass. the leg fins are coming out great!! always hated the missalignment of the fin with the little leg tab. -

Wow congratz!! 350 total with shipping and fees included sounds like a good deal, enjoy! -
thanks! I got recently a VF-1J CF and noticed the marking immediately, they look great and should've kept them. But I guess it's cheaper for Arcadia now to just add the waterslide decals.

How come VF-1J mass production CF comes with a lot of tampoed markings?, I understand it was released in 2009, the subsequent VF-1 releases didn't come with this added tampoed details, anyone can shine a light on me for this? just curious.

Damn jenius, why you have to outstage me, hehehe Very impressive how they managed to make the legs chubbier and fighter sleeker.

Quick google search to the rescue:

I'll be very happy if this bird turns for < 300

gorgeous. I know it's probably the prototype but I'm very curious about the tinted canopy, the heavy tint is similar to the VF-1J 30th, I wonder if they will keep this or if it will be clear for release.

wow! fantastic! wish I'd had half your talent!! Aztec pattern can't get any better than that

Very very nice!! awesome!

Not exactly, the price was for a full kit including the two lights and fixtures, different colors sheets and the stand to place the sheets. It's a pretty cool setup. Granted, you can achieve similar results with a cardbox, sheets and 2-3 properly placed light bulbs, not exactly for 20 bucks but wayyyyyy less than 325. It all depends how serious you are about your pictures.

Non 30th edition, possibly faulty shoulder, 0 feedback, next to no description. Fair price. -
If you gave the paint enough time to cure it shouldn't be a problem. But I would take the tape off if it's on top any uncoated decal.

LOL, you're right!! does looks like confetti!! That's my messy workbench, all those stripes are from gundam markers I always test before using. I try to go as canon as possible, the VF-4G had brown thruster/feet on FB2012, so did it that way and liked the results, althought, I should revisit the VF-4G, never fixed an issue I had with the brown tone. I pretty much based this off the Yamato VF-1J cannon fodder, it had brown thrusters/feet and intake covers, since the episode was recycled footage of that moment but the valk in gray I decided to keep the the feet brown. Thank you, I still have a lot to improve upon, after I took the pics I noticed I missed a part in the backpack and I have to still weather the gunpod. Spray paint... if I try paintbrushing you guys would think I have Parkinsons or something. BTW, it's minute 7, not 17 from the episode.

oh thanks! I thought there were singles like kotibuya parts.

Yamato pretty much shot themselves in the foot with oversaturations, the destroids did not sell because we had too many options to choose from, a lot of people asked for destroids, even me, but to this date I have not bought one, why? because I have too many things to choose from, and sadly destroid fall in second category for me. At the time the destroids were released the VF-1 were full steam ahead with the Macross 7 line incoming, something that everybody wanted so I guess destroids didn't look that attractive, also their hefty price didn't help either. This is why Arcadia is not saying they're going to do repaints, reissues, etc., they don't want us to skip buying what they have out now while we wait for what we're hoping.
