  1. Congratz! you've amassed quite the collection, when are you going to show it all to us?
  2. I liked the gray...
  3. Look at those fat stubby legs!! C'mon, couldn't they hire something with real talent to do something better than that...thing. Why won't they let Macross go already and try to do something more original with their Mospeada stuff.
  4. coool!! Funny how we're asking for it to be bigger while someone is asking the designer to make it smaller
  5. Got mine! great craftsmanship, looks great on the 19 Thank you!
  6. I think it's because if I remember correctly, Macross II was not made by Kawamori and Co. Big West wanted to profit on DYRL popularity and Kawamori was done with Macross at the moment and Big West hired other people for the story and design resulting in the lackluster storyline, low popularity and to finally be considered and alternate universe storyline. Kawamori always says that he's never seen Macross II. I think Macross II is just considered not profitable enough since it almost killed Macross until Kawamori was convinced to return and adapt the story and designs he was working at the moment to become Macross Plus. Macross II being released in US has nothing to do. Macross Plus was also released in the US. I'd love a VA-3!!! But I want a VF-5000 first
  7. Wow! just wow! that's such an eye catching and confusing effect. WIsh he could show the process. Very very very original!!! and that gerwalk kit is just stunning!
  8. I don't like the fire valk but you make it look awesome, the gloss finish makes it stand out very well. Please do the VF-17, I've never seen one made. Little Misa should be careful not to get stepped on.
  9. Just realized that the missile launcher is the middle fuselage and the supporting hinge looks very weak for such a long piece. Bandai has to do a lot of work if they don't want this to be a floppy unbalanced mess.
  10. Good info on the thinner tip. Wow cool8or, I understand the difficulty you went trough doing this but all I see is amazing, my best is not even half of your worst, hehehee!! Good job!!! always love to see your builds. Is the Fire Valk the vinyl one from Wave?
  11. hehehe, just joking
  12. I think it was before skullmitia started stalking MrK on twitter so I don't remember if anyone did ask him about it.
  13. Did Yamato ever acknowledge the joint problem before they went bust? It's not something that's widespread and not something many would notice. I honestly did not know about this problem until it got mentioned here because I rarely leave my 19's in gerwalk. Time for someone to ask MrK about it.
  14. Thank you! I really hope their next valk is the VF-5000, it was the second most requested "rare" valk after the VF-4, and the VF-19P was part of the same OVA license that showed the VF-5000.
  15. Yes it was posted because we nitpicked and complaint about the opened knee joints.
  16. Honestly, we all now and want a v3 VF-1 in the future if Arcadia is prosperous.
  17. I haven't played the game so I don't know much of the design. I was liking everything until I saw the side view profile, what the hell with the wings? looks like a freaking cape. I don't know why Kawamori has dedicated to make from the 25 onward his valks the opposite of what they were meant to be, "giant robots to fight giant aliens" including hand to hand combat, they have those dumb knifes so hand to hand combat is something they expect to do more, but those folded wings are like giant bullseyes to critically damage its variable nature and what would happened if the thing were to be kicked and fall on its back, the thing would be worst than a turtle, it can't roll. Anyway, this is just science fiction. Looking at it as a toy, hope it comes with very strong hip and backpack joint to distribute all that uneven weight, those folded wings are gonna take also a lot of shelf space. Hope they add more pictures of at least the prototype to see more of this side profile before nov.1st. I like the fighter design a lot!
  18. things I'd like improved in the VF-1 chubbier forearms, legs and gunpod, return of the streamline canopy instead of the current bubble one, articulated nose cone, more accurate head and neck placement, a better firmer legs swing bar locking mechanism, that damn antenna on the backpack, retractable wings to the backpack on battroid ala Bandai 1/72, stick and throttle on the cockpit, TV and DYRL style. But earlier today I was rearranging my valks and I have so many VF-1's that I would not fathom replacing all of them for a newer version. Hope Arcadia does this in a very distant future.
  19. Impressive!
  20. I saw Robotech as a child but forgot about it. During the late 90's I was later reintroduced to Robotech as a teenager on my local TV station "anime afternoon", they aired that soccer anime were one goal took 5 episodes of deep thinking, then DBZ, Robotech and ended with Samurai X. My best friend knowing how much I liked Robotech explained to me about the original japanese version, took me to the local anime video rental and we rented Macross II and Macross Plus on VHS. I sorta forgot about it when I started the university but after I was finished and with the internet I searched more info on Macross, saw the new VF's design from Macross 7 and loved the VF-17 sooo much, I bought a v1 VF-1S Roy and got to see the original SDFM on youtube, found this place and started my love/hate relationship with my bank account. I feel so old now talking about video rentals and VHS. I remember we wanted to rent the DYRL laserdisc since they didn't had a good copy on VHS but none of us had a laser disc. LOL! "please rewind"
  21. Remember when Bandai had the Macross 7 license since the 90's and only released those shitty DX toys? Bandai held so tight to that license that their VF-1's are coming out all crooked now. I even bet Yamato had to payed them and Big West a substantial sum to release the license to them so they could do the VF-11/17/19/22 hence why they were so freaking expensive, could also be a reason why they went bust too. So I say they'll probably never fully release the Frontier license.
  22. 2 days... color me impressed. Love it!! You missed the feathers and hallucinated projection of Mao............... ...................Macross zero....
  23. I like the hasegawa pilots, plus they look to have better details and crisp finish than the Bandai gulpy pilot.
  24. This kits look awesome! and the 1/100 size is perfect to have the 3 modes displayed. I have a bunch of Wave 1/100 Macross 7 resin kits inbuilt lying somewhere, would go great with this new kits.
