  1. Hi ya... yes, there have been cases where Valks turn yellow (white areas of the valk), I think its the combination of moisture, heat and light which makes them. (though many have other opinions). Since u r in Singapore, more likely sunlight may play a role. It was discussed back before in the forum. Cheers..
  2. Argh... too tempting for me to ignore!! Someone might lose a house here...
  3. Wow.. that's great man, a flying Valk... Awesome!!
  4. Hey, nice site, can now look at all the kits. One question, may be out of topic. Why does SHE kits looks much better than Yamato's ones? I noticed that the YF-19 looks much better than Yamato's one, especially the tidy rear (where the shield sits) in fighter mode. The VF-11 also looked much better in battoroid. I thought Yamato's Macross Plus series was based on SHE kits? No?
  5. I got my 1/60 M&M. Don't see the reason why i need another bigger version.
  6. Mine would be my pair of VF-17S and VF-17D. Still in the box, but I found out recently that the cellophane tapes are coming off.. Second to that, is my 1/48 Low Viz. Coming in third is my MISB VF-19A ....
  7. Phew... i think this will give me some time to recover from my buying spree...
  8. Babelfish came out with this : "And just was sold from the mark VF-1 J Ichijo shine machine DX edition super Valkyrie specification. So, that dress rise part, appearance to lightning mail order. As for this part speaking simply, being something which the cover of the super part clear shape is formed, inside it is reproduced finely the part in order like the cutting model to display the mechanic. It is the part which shows the detail which with special care is reproduced more smartly. Also price 1,500 Yen (classified by tax) with, considerably ƒŠ[ƒYƒiƒuƒ‹. This without fail buying! Being to be the period limited commodity as for application ahead of time! " Looks like it is for a limited time only, and cost 1500 Yen. I would not be surprised if it is sold WITHOUT the magazine, since there is quite a demand for it. Yammie would squeeze us all dry ..... Forgot to mention : the text is only for the introduction only, does not explain the parts pics.
  9. Hi aarbain Hey congrats on the Hikaru + FP. I am still waiting for mine to come... I only know that the FP which is sold separately from the normal 1/48 Valk (the yellow box one) can be opened to reveal the inner build (this includes the leg amour). I think the pics that you saw are the FPs which are purchased separately. Not sure about the VF-1J Super Valk though...

    Age Check! :)

So r u guys going to watch the latest anime and collect the toys now? You can then sell them as a vintages after 10 years... There will be tons of teenagers who will have the money to buy them then...
  11. Yea, count me in for a re-cast will ya... We will be waiting, keep us up to date!
  12. yep, tropical country like me and u are really humid, and its rainy season now... (i'm in KL). You can actually buy some de-himudifier, I usually buy this brand called "Thirsty Hippo", which is a Calcium Cobalt (chemical) de-humidifier. However, it only works if you store your toys in a cabinet, not open air rack. Hope this helps..
  13. Nice job done for a someone's first try. I tried on a Imai 1/72 VF-1J before, and it looked like Salsa dancer... Anyway, one question. I thought that Bandai actually provide stickers for the colour parts of the VF2SS. I have 1 set with me, and it came with sticker sheets for the blue on the chest, orange for the head and black for the cockpit cover. The rest of the parts have been colour coded nicely by Bandai. The only thing that you'll need to do is to panel line it. So just wan some opinion, is it worth painting it? Or is it better to do a "Stick-it-on" exercise? Thanks!

    HLJ Sale Again!!

Hmm... *waiting for the sale on the VF11B FP and YF-21 FP* hehehehe...
  15. macrossworks, nice to see u around.. And unfortunately, I have not uploaded my pics yet for the AXN Anime Festival... I lost them somewhere ...
  16. VF-22 got my vote. It looked cool in battroid. And yes, too much singing and "LISTEN TO MY SONG" thing really gets into my nerves, plane included...

    1:48 VF-1J

Hmm... everyone assumed that the FPs on VF-1J Hikaru can be "plug-and-played" on the Low Viz. Is it true, or is it still an assumption? Any ideas guys?
  18. That's the beauty of living in Japan.... u'll get 1/1 life size VF-19 Kai helmet, VF pilot helmets, and SD VE-1.... Next thing u know, Rob will have a 1/1 Valk....
  19. Yo Myersjessee, do you have the links to the wmcheng's how tos? I am looking for it, since he built the VF-2 and also the YF-19, am interested on how he did his marvelous panel linings.

    HLJ Crazy Sales

Darn.... I placed an order for the VF-17 and VF-19.... and I am suppose to save for the VF-1J... I think I will be resorting to selling my body parts soon....
  21. My low-vis is not sealed, and I have seen VF-1A Hikaru and Max (still on the shelf, looking for buyers) not sealed as well. So my safe conclusion is that it is not sealed. However, the manuals and the stickers are cello-taped to the back of the box, so if someone removed them, you would know. All my 1/72 comes with one tape. As for the 1/60, mine is sealed with one, sometimes 2 tapes... However, sometimes we must always remember that there are people who tapes them, and sometimes they do make mistakes. My MISB VF-19A have a slightly torned box, where it was sealed...
  22. Well, one man's poison is another man's food. True, it will remain as a display set, but it beats having plain jane macross.... having a gold plated macross gives life to your collection. USD 200 for a set of 3? I would say that is a good bargain. Hmm... i think one day I should pay a visit to Hong Kong, just a 3 hour flight away.. hmmm Nit
  23. U just have to huh?... hey, by any chance you are selling them? Yea, I have been prowling the ebay for it... but dunno when can one pop out. What a coincidence... when u don't have the $$, it pops out. But when you save enough to get 3 of them (I struck out all the 1/48, except the low visibility, out from my shopping list for these buggers...), it never comes. BoBe-Patt, still remember the MW member who are selling them?
  24. Does anyone know if Blackaces would be able to source it for me? Noel where art thou?
  25. Yo, actually I am talking about the 1/65 gold plated VF-19 and Vf-17 DX series by Bandai. It is completely built up, not model kits like what Bandai is releasing now. It is pretty much rare, and comes with serial numbers etched on the wings. If u like the shining surface of the 1/100 Bandai, you'll be bowled over by the gold plated VF-17. I have been prowling in the Ebay for quite some time now, the last I have seen was quite a number of months back. I missed the chance <_< , now I am waiting for the next one... too bad I can't read Japanese, or else I would be there prowling as well. How I wish I have the cash back in 1996.... Yamato... when are you going to surprise us with a gold plated YF-19, YF-22 and VF-11? Anyone knows a guesstimate price of the toy?
