  1. An endearing term of affection and fraternal love.
  2. Hope it works for you. If it does you should consider selling off the CM's Legioss to one of the hobos here who can't afford the set.
  3. I'm just glad fans finally have different toys to choose between. I'd be a very sad panda if Toynami were still the only game in town. I'd just choose to go without.
  4. Me too. I'd buy a huge deluxe set with the jeep and everyone in their civvies. And I'd want the set to include both versions of Yellow.
  5. No kidding. To celebrate I rewatched the entire series.
  6. I understand army building but it's never appealed to me. I follow a fairly strict one-mold-only rule with my toy collecting.
  7. Indeed they were. I'm going with my theory that there was some sort of mistake and either the tampo printing was skipped or the decal sheets were forgotten. :EDIT: Although if it was a case of forgotten decal sheets then it would be easy for MH to have a mail-in offer where you can get your decals, which they don't seem to be doing. Hell, they could even try to sell the decal sheets and they're not doing that, either. Maybe they really are taking the gashapon lucky draw approach.
  8. Tampo printing does look much nicer than decals. Maybe that backs up my theory that MH didn't originally intend to have any markings at all, tampo or decals. Or maybe the factory was supposed to tampo them but didn't, so at the last minute MH cranked out some label sheets. I'm just brainstorming here.
  9. Yes, he's referring to the smaller scale Gakken toy.
  10. I have the Palm Action Orguss and I don't recall it coming with any stickers, but it's a tiny thing and it doesn't really need any. I also have the MH Panda Z chogokin figure and I don't believe that has decals, either. But again, it's not really a toy that would benefit from decals. In regards to the Ride Armor, maybe Megahouse actually forgot to put decals in the first batch and they played it off by turning it into a 'lucky draw' type thing? Or maybe they didn't decided to even make decals until the toy was well into production and it was too late to add them? Who knows? I don't think they're trying to screw with anyone because there's really nothing for MH to gain by doing that. It's not a cheap toy where people would buy multiples in hopes of getting a sticker sheet.
  11. Wow, with that list of breaks and problems on the MH I can see why Toynami is interested in releasing it. Should fit it perfectly with their lineup.
  12. I was considering that, too. I ultimately decided to stick with HLJ since I got in on the Early Bird and I'm pretty much guaranteed to get the set when it comes out. I don't know OverDrive enough to know how they work. I'm sure they're a fine store, but if they are "sold out yet still taking orders through email" does that mean that you get put on a wait list? It's too uncertain for me, and I want this set ASAP.
  13. Thanks, it's nice to see them side by side. I still like the overall look (proportions, design, colors, finish) of the CMs better.
  14. Yeah but what? I wasn't saying the CM's wasn't pricey. I actually wasn't saying anything other than what the current prices are.
  15. That's on the high end for the CMs set. The lowest I've heard is $220 at that online store SaveRobotech mentioned, Over-Drive Inc. I think the Early Bird price at HLJ when I preordered was around $250, although their regular price is $282.
  16. Awesome, thanks. Obviously I'm one of those freaks with an unexplainable adoration of the stryofoam tray. Overall packaging doesn't matter to me because I'm after the toy inside, but dang if that foam doesn't give me an extra smile.
  17. Hopefully the actual toy will be as nice as the drawings.
  18. Good lord, I didn't see the photos of the box until just now. Either the guy holding it is really small, the box is really big, or my sense of proportion is still out of whack. I'll say this though, it's definitely bigger than a hamburger. Question for those with other high-end CMs toys: Does CM's typically pack them in a plastic tray or styrofoam?
  19. I think it's entirely logical to assume the Beta will be $150 since that's what Toynami said it will be. Nobody even started thinking it would be $80 until BBTS listed it for that, which we now know may be a mistake. And now it seems like people are desperately trying to cling to that price in hopes that it's real. Why not just plan for $150 and hope for $80?
  20. Thanks for the sleuthing, Roger. Sounds like they wont be honoring the $80, although that is a pretty big difference to honor. So now the cost of the Toynami Alpha/Beta is right back to being roughly the same as the CM's Legioss/Tread. My money is still on CM's.
  21. I suppose 'hamburger' is pretty vague considering that can be anywhere from White Castle size to "We'll pay for your meal if you finish the whole thing" size. In any case it isn't a concern for me, it just seemed smaller than I originally thought. As long as it isn't so small I can't find it's taint. *__*
  22. Thanks SaveRobotech! One question, is the Legioss/Tread set as small as it looks? That Tread next to the ride armor looks like it would be the size of a hamburger, and that Legioss further down doesn't look much bigger than the ride armor. Maybe it's just the perspective of the photo but they look a lot smaller than the Toynami release.
  23. You're all wrong. The guy he's thinking of is called Staks:
  24. I think in this case the all-plastic may benefit the toy considering the diecast version likes to topple under it's weight. Hopefully it'll be made with durable plastic and have a clean finish. And that's a big hopefully.
