  1. Just got my payment request from HLJ and forked over the dough. Not that it needs to be said, but the dollar really, really, really sucks right now.
  2. I like the ride armor, but not enough to pay more than $100 for any version of it. Something like the Legioss, which is one of my favorite mecha designs ever, sure. But not the ride armor.
  3. Actually I think the typo is in the scale. It's going to be 1/1 and not 1/10.
  4. Hmm...I'm wondering if it would be easy to remove the link arm from the Tlead so it looks better in flight mode, even though it would sacrifice the front landing gear. I probably wont display them linked anyway so I'm going to try it when I get mine.
  5. The only way I could see Toynami associating themselves with a $600 toy is if they did a pre-sale through Robotech.com so they could order an exact amount from Beagle and not be stuck with any.
  6. The nosecone concerns me. I wonder why they didn't make it lock?
  7. Glad to see the undisputed heavyweight champion of valk toys is making a comeback. In my opinion no valk toy to date has equaled the fun factor of the 1/55s.
  8. Just do a photo search on Google for "Beagle armor" and it comes right up. Found you out, EXO! On a side note, I did a Google photo search for "Beagle Ride Armor" and I got this:
  9. Do the hands on the Legioss and Tlead fold in for transformation or do they have to be removed?
  10. Wow, you took my opinion far more seriously than it was meant to be taken. I wasn't making some manifesto, just sharing my opinion of what I like. I like toys. Don't let it bother you so much.
  11. I'm very sad that I have to choose between Godmarz and the CM's Legioss/Tlead. Granted I'll have them both eventually, but I want them both NOW. Whaaaa!!
  12. I can understand that, but I believe that price is related to production runs and the size of a company. CM's is very small and has a lot more at risk so they need to put higher price tags on their stuff, especially when they maintain a high standard of quality. Granted Toynami is also a small company but Toynami keeps their prices lower by sacrificing quality. I'm willing to pay a higher price for quality.
  13. I would say it looks like a better toy than both Yamato's 1/60s and 1/48s. But I've never thought of those things as true 'toys'. Even when compared as collectors pieces I still like the look of this Legioss/Tread set better. Because it gives me a "pick me up off the shelf and transform me!" vibe wheras Yamato's valks beg to be left alone.
  14. Got it from ToyBoxDX where someone criticized Godmarz for looking like a bunch of trash cans. When I looked at Godmarz that way it actually made me appreciate it MORE. I'm going to look into getting some small USPS and recyclable logo decals. Way cooler than Captain Planet I tells ya!
  15. I don't think they look 'cheap', although if you threw some eyeliner and bright red lipstick on them I'd agree. Some observations: - Is the Legioss mistransformed? It seems like there's a lot more space between the chest and the legs than I remember from previous pics. - It's curious that the hands aren't attached. Makes me wonder if they don't fold in for transformation. - I know the feet are typically big on Legioss' but...wow, those are some gunboats on this sucker! They look like skis! - Looks like the shoulder sensor is able to sit flat. All the previous pics had it sitting at a slight angle. - I totally love the finish and colors on this set. Something about it screams "Play with me!!"
  16. No styrofoam tray??? I'm going to cancel my order now. Just kidding. Can't wait to see more pics!
  17. I'm going to pretend that they turn into garbage cans, recycling bins, mail boxes and other public service depositories. Godmarz helps society by collecting it's mail and keeping it's cities clean!
  18. To me Tetsujin just isn't Tetsujin unless he's fatter than sin. That said, I do like the 80's version, but I just try to think of it as some other super robot that bears some resemblance to T28.
  19. The box looks great, certainly better than the padded 'book' monstrosity that Toynami's came in. I like the graphic design better than what Yamato typically does, too. But in the end the box will just be filed away in my closet with all the others so it doesn't really matter to me what it looks like. Now I'm just waiting like Pavlov's dog for that HLJ payment request email to come.
  20. Thanks for the big photo, that really shows a lot of detail. Judging by the seam along the side of the rider it looks like the material is indeed some kind of fabric or maybe even a pleather type of material. Neato.
  21. That's what I liked about Stick, he was an @$$hole but with good reason. I typically hate a-hole characters but it made sense for Stick, he had a lot to be pissed about, not the least of which was the hunting memory of his dead fiance. I think Ley with his more carefree behavior was the perfect balance for Stick. :edit: Apeface is not an acceptable substitute for @$$hole.
  22. Regarding the names in Mospeada, I just thought of them as "futuristic space names!". Stick, Ley, Yellow, Mint... who knows what people will call themselves in the future? Perhaps "Toilet" will replace "John" and people will be voting for Senator Candybar.
  23. I'm actually more tempted to buy another CM's Ride Armor than I am to buy a MH. It's nice to finally have different Mospeada toys to choose between.
  24. Daimos looks like it's going to compete with CM's Legioss/Tlead for my own personal TOTY.
  25. LOL, more power to you. Believe me, if I wasn't saving my toy cash for a few heavy hitters (CMs Legioss, SOC Godmarz, SOC Raideen) I'd probably have a few more animated toys on the way, too. Bulkhead is an excellent toy and has me very excited to get more. And here I thought the movie line had killed my interest in Transformers.
