Not as much as in that last photo. I noticed that the alignment looks fine on some of your earlier photos, did you have to force them into the right position?
-
Mine are misaligned a little bit, maybe 1/4", but it's not very noticeable. I actually didn't notice it until just now when I went to check.

WOW! Silverbolt is already my favorite, mostly because of how blocky and old school his bot mode looks. Absolutely love him so far. The rest of the classics also look pretty good, although Ironhide's alt mode looks like a complete mess in that photo. I'm really happy to see Silverstreak because that means I can skip Prowl. The animated guys look just as good as the first couple waves, although I'll skip that repaint Bumblebee.

Never underestimate the power of Brown Bread...especially if it's served with Scrapple.

Cool, you got one! Nice pics everyone.

I've spent plenty of time on this forum, as well as others, which is exactly why I know Toynami doesn't have a fairly good track record. I also base that on my own experience with their toys. Out of the twenty or so that I've had, only about four or five didn't have major problems. It's widely known here and on other toy forums that Toynami has severely inconsistent quality control and that's what I would call a consistently poor track record. I'm not intending to trash-talk Toynami. Even though I'm reasonably certain I have a 25% chance of getting a decent toy from them, regardless of what it is, I still support them because they're a domestic company making anime toys which I find to be an overall good thing. Even though I don't plan on buying the Beta (having the CMs makes Toynami's obsolete for me) I hope Toynami does a good job on it and tightens up their QC because the Mospeada fans deserve some good toys.

Good lord, I wish for the best and get accused of re-starting a flame-war? Toynami has a fairly consistently poor track record with their masterpiece toys, thus my statement that the odds are against them. And again, I hope for the best.
-
I sincerely hope the Toynami Beta manages to be a good toy for those of you looking forward to it. The odds are really stacked against Toynami, but hopefully the relatively simple design can minimize problems.

Grrr...I can't decide which version of Raideen I like better. The extra accessories don't interest me, but it's the difference between the white and chrome that I can't decide on. Why must you make things so difficult, Bandai, WHY?!

You just like her because they showed her nekkid. Unfortunately they also showed Mint nekkid.

Some quick pics. Let it be known that any lighting aside from natural sunlight is mysterious and foreign to me. Here comes the dragon! Went for a flying ninja sort of pose here... Papa!

Awesome news on the Fraulien Yoko! Now I don't feel bad about missing out on that Konami one.

The easiest way to find them (that I know of) is to do a Ebay search for "Mononofu" and you'll see several different weapons that they make. Aside from katanas they have various other bladed weapons, staffs, helmets and even guns. They're not the cheapest accessories out there, but they're really damn nice. The swords have metal blades that are very straight and sharp. They also come with stands and other accessories. Here's a review for some of their stuff: Mononofu! I've been itching to take some photos of the Legioss and Tlead but I've been too busy. Hopefully I can this weekend.

I just wanted to follow up a little and say that I'm still loving the crap out of my CMs set. It's so much fun and really a joy to transform and pose. Even though the sword is a very minor and basic accessory it really makes me happy that they included it. I think I have the Legioss holding the sword more often than it's gun. I just got one of those awesome Mononofu katanas as well and the Legioss really enjouys wielding it. I know it's rather idiosyncratic for a war-bot covered with missiles and guns to wield a sword, but what can I say, bots just look awesome with swords.

Here are some photos from the NYCC courtesy of Sanjeev at TBDX. The photos are apparently test shots from production models.

Wow, you're going for all three in one shot? Hope you like them!

It's supposed to, but I couldn't get mine to and, like you, I didn't want to force it. I assume we're just doing something wrong.

Finally had a moment to check out my Legioss/Tlead set. I really can't think of anything to say about it that hasn't been said already. It's past midnight and I'm tired so I'll just offer some rambling stream-of-consciousness comments. Overall I'm very satisfied with it and there isn't really any aspect of the toy that I have a particular issue with. The wings are tight enough on mine where it shouldn't be an issue that they don't 'lock' into place. Once I finished the simple-yet-satisfying transformation into fighter mode, I flew the Legioss around the house and did a few barrel rolls and nothing moved out of place. Same for the Tlead. Both are incredibly excellent action figures in soldier mode with enough articulation to not leave me wanting for more (although, yes, the Legioss head could benefit from a joint, I'm just not sure how it would work with the existing design). I was a little concerned with how hard it was to pop the hands on both mechs, thinking I might squeeze the articulated fingers too hard and break them (leftover bad memories from Toynami) but with some patience I got them on without incident. I should mention the linkup, which has become the sorest point with this toy. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. Why? Because I'm not really a fan of the Legioss/Tlead linkup in the first place. It's always looked like an afterthought to me so it seems fitting that the toy's linkup is an afterthought. I don't know what could have been changed to improve it on this set. Maybe a better locking mechanism where it connects with the Legioss. It actually works just fine for display purposes, and you CAN fly them around linked if you hold them right, but they really should lock together better. I don't know, and I really don't care since I had no interest in the linkup anyway. I'm just happy the connecting piece is an optional piece so I can leave it in the box and forget about it. I originally thought it was part of the Tlead. It does suck for people who were looking forward to that mode though, and I understand the frustration over it being half-assed. Was it worth the money? To me, yes - definitely. All the anxiety and disappointment over the wretched Toynami/Aoshima Legioss vanished completely as soon as I started playing with this set. It's gorgeous, it has superb parts-fit, it's fun and it's a toy that I can mess around with free from fear of imminent collapse. And it comes with a sword, like all of the very best robot toys. If no other Legioss or Tread toys are ever made, I'll be content. :EDIT: Late night grammatical meltdown!

Awesome news! I'll take the bare-bones sub only without a second thought.

I still see the 1/55 as the epitome of perfection in a transforming toy. I appreciated the tampo printing on the reissues but anything beyond that might spoil the integrity of the original and probably wouldn't be something I'd be interested in enough to buy. If Bandai were to think about updating the VF-1, I'd rather see them do an all new take on it rather than make any drastic changes to the classic 1/55.

Got my CM's Tlead and Legioss today. Never really got time to open it up and probably wont until this weekend....so close but yet so far!

I was imagining Buxom Buddies Tom Hanks voice coming out of a Tachikoma. He could switch between that and Philidelphia Tom Hanks and Castaway Tom Hanks as the situation dictates. I'm still surprised he didn't end up in the Transformers movie.
-
I think an actor of Tom Hanks' caliber would be best suited as a Tachikoma.

These days it's hard to differentiate between Steven Spielberg and Senior Spielbergo, his Mexican equivalent.

Yeah, a Neova and a Shawn post in the same thread and within 24 hours of each other...I'm freaking out, man!! That said, my Legioss/Tlead is finally on it's merry way and should be in my hands by the end of the week. I'll be sure to post my thoughts and some pics. After I give it a thorough shaking of course.
