If the boxes say Robotech I'd be thrilled if they were a throwback to the vintage Matchbox boxes. Gotta work that nostalgia!

All this talk of selling Godmarz for GL has corrupted me! Now I'm actually considering it based on the following logic: The Great Impact GL will most likely be harder to obtain as time goes by and command a steadily increasing price compared to SOC Godmarz which, like most SOC toys, is made in greater numbers and never that difficult to track down. I can sell off the Godmarz now, buy a GL, and then pick up another Godmarz in the future which shouldn't be any more expensive than it currently is. Is that sound logic?

I think the size of Leader Bulkhead looks better with the rest of the crew (from pics I've seen), but I think I'll stick with the Voyager size version I already have. I watched the video review of Leader Bulkhead a couple of times and there are too many things on it that bug me, like the permanent sawblade in the hand, the big light-up Autobot logo-button that activates the sounds, and the overall look of how the pieces sit in bot mode. I like the simplicity and sleekness of the Voyager much better. That said, in a few months I'll probably be sitting here with every available Bulkhead toy lined up in front of me.

Awesome news. I really like that Toynami is focusing on importing and distribution.

I sacrificed the SG for the SOC Tetsujin, which is a good toy but ironically lacks the 'soul' of the SG. And yeah, GL is just as tempting as Godmarz. The problem is I want both!
-
Ha! Not likely. I learned my lesson with the Soft Garage Tetsujin and wont be selling any more Gokins.

If I hadn't just bought a Godmarz I'd already have this thing on the way. Hopefully another run will be made.

Josh at CollectionDX just did a killer review of Konami's Great Impact Model toy. To steal a phrase from my brother-in-law, this thing is tits. Now to find one!

My new favorite SOC: Godmarz is amazing. Spectacular sculpt, engineering, fit, finish and paint topped off with awesome articulation and lots of clicky ratchet joint goodness. If I would have had this as a kid I never would have put it down.

Congrats man, I've been trying to get one of those off Ebay for a while now. I've been trying to get a loose one though. Post some pics when you get it!

Wow, that Beagle looks incredible. Even though I'm satisfied with my CMs, I'll have to give this one some serious consideration.

The "ugly buggy thing" is the Mugen Calibur from Dorvack, which had a toy in the 80's that was reappropriated for Transformers as Road Buster. That one in the pic is a reissue model kit from Aoshima. CM's is actually making a new proper toy of it, which I am quite excited about. I love the ugly buggy thing.

Sand worms?? Dude, you're totally thinking of Beatlejuice.

I always assume 'spice' referred to 'space porn'.

The main reason I haven't taken much interest in the SPEC Evas is because I'm so completely satisfied with the SOC Evas. To me the size, colors, construction, weight (lots of diecast), accessories and articulation are perfect. I think the SPECs look great, as do the Revoltechs, but they're pretty much obsolete for me.

I just looked a few minutes ago (I was tempted to get the deluxe as well) and it's now sold out. I'm sure they'll get more in though, they usually get a couple shipments of new SOCs.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
eriku replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
They do use bubble wrap, I just got a Godmarz wrapped nicely in it. Maybe it depends on what they're shipping, it seems like I get larger items with bubble wrap and smaller ones with those airbag things. Or maybe they just decide by whatever is easiest to grab when someone is packing the box. It's hard to beat BBTS for me. They ship quickly (I'm close enough to them to get standard UPS next day), they have some of the best customer service I've ever seen and their refund/exchange policy alone makes their slightly higher prices worth it - it's like insurance. Considering Yamato toys can be a bit problematic it's nice to know that I can return the new 1/60 for a different one if it has any issues. -
The 1997 AT-AT is the only SW vehicle I didn't get rid of (well, that and the N1 Fighter). Sure it's basically a redecoed vintage AT-AT, but it's a fantastic toy and everyone comments on it still. The best part was that me and a buddy scored a few of them back in 2000 or 2001 when TRU was clearancing old warehouse stock of Star Wars toys. Got the AT-ATs for $10 each and got a few 12" Han Solo w/ Tauntaun for $10 each as well. Could have easily made a killing on Ebay but it was far more fun to send them to fans in other states who didn't have TRU's nearby. Thems were the days. I haven't had that much fun with SW toys since then.

Well, they're doing it for Jeeg. :EDIT: Granted Jeeg's entire head turns into a motorcycle.

I know I saw something like that, although I don't remember if it was an avatar or just an oft-posted pic.

I'm just wondering how the UM armor/trailer will look with Prime. I don't have Classics UM, nor do I plan to get one, but I'm tempted to get the UM armor for Prime.

Blood donation is a good samaritan thing, but plasma they pay for. Probably because it's not just removal, but also reinsertion (they pump saline back into you after they remove the plasma from the blood). *shudder* It'll be interesting to see how the BW and BM stuff sells in todays market. I don't personally care for most of those toys, but It's awesome that the fans are getting a bone thrown to them, even if it is a tiny one.
-
And just a few weeks ago I recieved an email from Hasbro with detailed directions to all the local plasma donation clinics. I think this just may be my favorite year so far for Transformers, wheras last year was one of the darkest for me (I liked some of the movie toys but overall it nearly killed my TF interest entirely). Sure, Alternaters and Classics were great, but the sheer amount of awesome TF toys looming on the horizon like a big tidal wave ready to wash out my bank account is almost awe-inspiring. It's like five years worth of good TF toys compressed into six months.

Welcome to the club! I started my SOC addicition with the first Tetsujin 28 in 2004. I bought that based on the fact that it was T28 but once I beheld the superb engineering and amazing quality of SOC I started seeking out others. It wasn't until last year that I really went after the big guys and added Dancouga, Iron Gear and Zambot 3 to my collection. With Godmarz on the way I'll have to rethink my display area - too many big bots!

I haven't tried. It's so rare these days that a robot toy can grip it's weapon firmly that I've just kind of resigned myself to that. In a way I miss the old style hands that were mostly a block with a hole in it. Sculpted hands look fantastic but unless they are very tight or have pegs (and sometimes even that doesn't help), they wont hold anything tightly. One option for the Legioss is to try and find some alternative hands that might have a stronger grip. I can't suggest anything off the top of my head, but considering they attach via ball/socket and are of a common size, there should be something out there that works. Gundam hands maybe?
