  1. And ten years down the road we'll get the inevitable Star Wars meets Indiana Jones movie where we find out Han Solo and Indy are THE SAME PERSON, who is a member of an alien species that can travel through time and dimensions. And his real name will be something outlandishly clever, like Olos Senoj or something.
  2. LOL, I know, I know...I just have poor taste in toys.
  3. Looks good so far to me, but then I'm one of those fools who thinks Bandai's VF-17 is a great looking toy.
  4. Isn't Iron Man about due for a remake? Go, Hollywood, go!
  5. I could take an interest in some MF snap kits. I have this weird thing with model glue, super glue or pretty much any kind of adhesive where if I so much as touch a bottle there is suddenly glue everywhere. I think I have a special power that actually extracts glue through the sides of the container and releases it into the air in a sort of cloud. I'd be the worst X-Men character ever.
  6. Ha, I actually like the sculpt of Bandai's DX better than the design of the source material. LETS GO CHUNKY!!
  7. Yeah, those alternate endings weren't even worth including on the DVD. I didn't see this film until the other night, and this has probably been discussed but I don't have the time to read through the whole thread - when they are in the helecoptor and it looks as if they are going to escape, why are they going so slow? Wouldn't a chopper be able to zip out of there pretty quickly, especially when they're on the escape and trying to be evasive? It was like they were taking a leisure cruise over the city in a hot air balloon when the creature snatched them out of the sky. And wouldn't they have been up too hight for the creature to just bite at them? I also thought it was rather questionable that Beth's arm and shoulder appeared fully functional so shortly after being impaled. Entertaining enough film overall, but it's no Gojira.
  8. Dancouga and Ideon are back there because they're getting re-released.
  9. Hell yeah, Jazz looks like a good buddy for Classics Mirage. Couple of lanky hipsters.
  10. I bet passing a handful of diamonds through your colon does wonders to scrape away all that red meat that builds up. Alright! I guess I better post some Mospeada pics later to make up for my last couple of posts!
  11. Because you needed the money. I've been there. Five years ago I went through a transitional period with a new home in a new city and a new job and I ended up getting rid of about 5 or 6 boxes worth of stuff that I'd rather not detail lest it bring tears to my eyes. Thing is, the vast majority of this stuff is always out there in one place or another and you can always start over and buy things back. It's not like you sat down in an alley and ate all of your Faberge Eggs or something.
  12. Yeah, I didn't mean the Gundam comparison as a bad thing, just a barrier for me personally. I do see the Patlabor comparison too, which is another design that for some reason has never 'grabbed' me. To be completely honest I get more tempted by the SPEC Dragonar toy every time I see it, especially with that awesome diecast internal frame. I'd be tempted to display it in skeletal form.
  13. I still very much see it as a Gundam lookalike, which is why I haven't been able to warm up to it. Granted I think it looks a bit more interesting than a typical Gundam (no offense meant to Gundam fans, it's just not my thing) but it still boldly tells me "Gundam" every time I look at it. Looks like a fantastic toy though.
  14. He doesn't want us to see the front because she has a big schlong. Sorry, I just really wanted to say schlong.
  15. Ah yes, Sunwards. I remember seeing the full-page ads in ToyFare magazine announcing US releases of Yamato valks.
  16. I've got a mean hankering for a chunky Angelbirds. And as Graham and Danth said, I don't need any changes to sculpt, just tampo them and get them out ASAP!
  17. Go for the 1/55 Bandai. Not only is it a perfect introductory valk and all-around durable and fantastic toy, it's also a history lesson.
  18. Bah, I'll just try to snatch one off Ebay at some point.
  19. Yeah, Toynami shoul be quick to release something when all they're doing is importing it. Didn't some of the Megahouse Ride Armors have "Toynami" on the box right out of the gate?
  20. I assume the reason Bandai wants to get more Macross stuff out there right now is to help draw attention to their new Frontier toys.
  21. My avatar wants to know where your avatar shops for glasses.
  22. Is this a new series or movie you're referring to? I'm a huge fan of the two original series and a lot of the earlier movies, but my perception of the Lupinverse gets cloudy after that.
  23. I have a pretty good handle on my toy spending, too. Aside from a cheap home internet connection, NetFlix, a few video games per year (usually used) and one to three CDs per month (also typically used) it's about the only luxury spending I do. I have no car payment, no cell phone, no cable TV. My wife doesn't really do much luxury spending either. I've never been a completist with any toy line, and will only buy one mold of a toy I like. If I do buy a repaint, I'll sell off the original toy to make room for it. For some reason it bugs me to have more than one mold of something in my collection, which is why I'll never have all of the Transformers 'seekers' or a full set of valks. Even the new Ninja Turtle figures I can only get myself to buy one of them. I'm very thankful for that though, it's like a natural safeguard.
  24. My concern isn't that I wont be able to afford things, but that companies will cut back on production and there will be less to choose from. One thing I've done that has made a huge difference in the amount of disposable toy money I have is joined NetFlix. I used to buy DVDs all the time, lots of them, and NetFlix effectively curbed that craving.
  25. I wonder what the chances are of Toynami distributing Soul of Chogokin toys. The idea of a company so well known for crappy toys releasing some of the most excellent toys ever made is sort of mind-boggling, but I'd be all for it.
