I don't have Prime, but Amazon has still always shipped my orders the following day. Not a biggie, it'll come. Would you be willing to check if the bot mode fist holes on your Dead End and Wildrider the correct size? I'm just curious if I got an anomoly.- 16780 replies

Wow that was fast, mine haven't even shipped yet. The fist holes on my Dead End are too big like the ones on your Wildrider, he can't hold any weapons. Also it seems BBTS has already sent out Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus figures last week for some customers, while for others (myself included) the release date was bumped out to "Late June". Weird. And I placed my order within an hour after the preorder went up. Oh well, thar be other robits in the sea.- 16780 replies

Weird, the card I used expires in four months and it went through just fine. This one? It still works for me. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JTN_p0HapyAJ:www.amazon.com/Transformers-Generations-Combiner-Deluxe-Quickslinger/dp/B00TV0T0OW+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us- 16780 replies

What a weird thing to do. I can see them offering it as an option - even if it were the only way to get one from them - but to just blindside people with it after shipping it out and be all like, "oh hay we did you a huge favor dude, but if you don't like it you can totally send it back." They must actively be trying to alienate their customers.- 16780 replies

So Quickslinger and Breakneck were already available for order on Amazon a couple days ago. The pages aren't up anymore, but someone on TFW posted a cached page for Quickslinger and I was able to place an order. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JTN_p0HapyAJ:www.amazon.com/Transformers-Generations-Combiner-Deluxe-Quickslinger/dp/B00TV0T0OW+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us No cached page for Breakneck yet. Also, I wont be surprised if my order doesn't get processed since something is bound to be wonky when ordering via a cached page. But whatever, worth a shot.- 16780 replies

He's an online exclusive and will be available to order May 22nd at BBTS, Amazon and some other stores I can't recall. This is the BBTS page (it's not actually sold out, just a placeholder until the 22nd) http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?mode=retail&product=HAS24411- 16780 replies

What I mean is that a VF-1 toy like this isn't a new occurrence in the world of Macross toys. Since the 1980s there have been toys in all sizes and price ranges for the brand so I don't see this as anything really different or unusual. I'm not saying it isn't competition for Arcadia, every toy out there is competing for our money. Just that it's not 'creating a market' as you said. Regardless, I think it's cool to be sitting here fifteen years after my first visit to Macross World and that there is still a wide variety (relatively speaking) of toys and price ranges to choose from.
-
I'd hit it. Nah, it's not creating any market. There have always been Macross toys this size/price range, it's nothing new. Some people just prefer smaller toys, some people buy everything. I just like VF-1 toys - that's the only rational I need for getting one. Also if it's pretty much the same as the previous Bandai Hi-Metal VF-1, it should be a really excellent toy.

I can understand that opinion. With the extra paint and the screw hole covered it does look pretty nice. Overall I prefer the look of my Hasbro version the best (I'm a sucker for the colors and 'toyish' look).- 9160 replies

Is anyone interested in buying a KO MP-10? It's the first version that came out early 2014. Mostly the same as regular MP-10 but with a more 'premium' looking paint job, the screw hole in his crotch covered up, different hands. It's got a couple minor QC problems like a misfired pin on a leg panel and some plastic chipped off on an arm. Transformed once. Box came beat up like most of them at the time. $70 shipped, or make me an offer. I have pics, too. Sorry for the Spam post!- 9160 replies

It looks a little dorky, but I dig it. I just think it's cool that adding them onto the tank is an option. I'll probably have a couple little Legends Megatrons riding on top of Megatron because Megatron.- 9160 replies

That's pretty cool. As-is I think Megs is already one of the best looking Transformers Hasbro has ever made but it's always fun to add bits. The company that is making this set has been pretty clever and thoughtful in the past with integrating parts into alt mode so I'm sure they'll find some way to do that with these.- 9160 replies

I mostly like pictorial and WORDS! reviews (what can I say, I like to read) but I enjoy the occasional video review if its short and concise. If I'm five minutes in and it's still hands gesturing in front of the box, I'm done. THEW's reviews are a favorite of mine, but those are more for entertainment than anything else.- 16780 replies

It's Apollyon's transformation that is keeping me from wanting one. I like to handle and transform my transformorobos and when I watched the videos for Apollyon all I could think was, "I'm never, ever going to want to do that." that's not so much a criticism of the toy as it is just me being an old man who doesn't want to spend a half hour turning his little plastic man into a little plastic gun. Now, the new Leader Megatron...I just bought one of those and while it is of course not as refined as a Masterpiece toy it really does go a long way in satisfying my desire for a large G1(ish) Megatron toy that is fun and quick to transform. It's also somewhat of a return to the bygone era of Hasbro Transformers when they were generous with paint. In any case, I'm not trying to pit one against the other. I don't usually follow the either/or mentality and tend to buy all versions of characters that I like. If Apollyon looked fun to transform I'd be getting one. And maybe it's not as bad as the videos looked.- 9160 replies

Count me among the lovers of MP-01. It was pretty much the Transformers toy event of a lifetime when he was first released, so the feeling of that original experience is impossible for me to forget or discount. Aside from that initial excitement I actually genuinely love the way he looks (even alt mode doesn't bother me since it's solid and rolls) and the tactile experience of just handling it and transforming it. I still get a good amount of satisfaction from it all of these years later, and even though I LOVE MP-10, I still find MP01 more enjoyable to handle overall. It just feels more robust to me and more like a 'play with me!' toy. Very happy to have both in my collection. I think just the fact they both exist is a good testament to how spoiled us TF fans are.- 16780 replies

My shipping quote for Bluestreak at BBTS is $7 for UPS. BBTS also recently implemented some cheaper shipping options. They now offer the FedEx Smartpost thing too, which starts at 4.75. Anyone else remember the days when BBTS started up? They gained popularity because they had a flat rate of $5 for shipping no matter what you ordered or how many. They still had that policy back when Brave Max was released so I got to enjoy spending only $5 to ship that behemoth.- 16780 replies

Wow, it's like they tried really hard to pick the most unappealing colors possible. I'm not against them being in colors different from the originals, but when i look at these all I can think is, "why?"- 16780 replies

I wonder if there was a mistranslation and the 2000 is just what the TakaraTomyMall website will have available, not counting whatever quantity will be made for other vendors. Whatever the case, I'll just be happy to get one.- 16780 replies

I doubt it too, but I wouldn't have guessed BBTS would have it for their regular MP car price either. It's the sort of thing I would expect to see solicited at BBTS as: 'Limited Edition ONLY 2000, BBTS Special Price of $159.99!'- 16780 replies
