  1. None of that qualifies as 'broken'. In any case, please keep criticism out of this thread if you don't actually have the toy. That's what the other thread is for. Thanks.
  2. Alright, I tried to include some other options for people who have more than one. Still not really an 'accurate' count, but it's closer. Let me know if it it too muddled now or if you have any other suggestions.
  3. I did copy the format of Miriya's VF-1 V2 poll, but no, this is not meant to compare the VF-25 to the 1/60 VF1 V2. This.
  4. I should add- If you vote 'broken' please leave a post telling us what was broken.
  5. Broken screws? Easily scuffed paint? Joints too loose? Joints too tight? No complaints? Cast your vote. This poll probably isn't very necessary but the results and comments should at least be interesting. For the record, my VF-25F only suffers from a loose groin peg but is otherwise perfect.
  6. Meh, it's actually the tiny scale that impresses me on the CMs. To each their own. I'm just happy we've got lots of choices now to cater to people's different tastes.
  7. Well, a lot of it has to do with personal preference. I think all of the Ride Armor toys look great in their own way, but I like the CMs the best due to scale, sculpt and overall look.
  8. If you like how it looks you shouldn't have anything to worry about. A lot of people love the color scheme (It's one of my favorites) but a lot more apparently do not, as can be gathered from the current prices.
  9. Actually there were a lot of complaints about the Monster. The locking pegs for the legs were installed backward and (as far as I know) never fixed, the arm joints couldn't support the weight of the arms, those are the two that I remember the most vividly.
  10. It bugs me that Over-Drive even has to send out that message. It's very clearly stated that they are only offering replacement parts and not spare parts, so the fact that they had to send this mesaage tells me people are requesting extra parts. This only hinders this service by wasting Over-Drive's time. Are people having that hard of a time reading the terms, or are they just trying to pull one over on Over-Drive?
  11. I just heard from them too. They're so friendly and accommodating. I would have no reservations placing an order from their store.
  12. Details! Did they tell you your part is on the way? When did you request the part? I'm patiently waiting to hear from them. I ordered a part three or four weeks ago but I haven't heard anything from them. I don't even know if they got my request or not.
  13. Care for a side of Mint? http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=16722
  14. I'm chiming in from my self-imposed exile of this place to give my support to Ryan. I've been a member of this community for 8 years and I've never seen the mods and other members so harshly go after someone who is obviously a super-excitable fan. I think he has every right to post as many "That's cool!" posts as he wants and if you guys don't like it, is it really that hard to just igore and scroll past? I find the constant petty bitching about the minutea of imperfect toy design far, far more maddening, annoying and dreadful than someone who likes to express his delight in enthusiastic ways, but you know what? I can ignore it for the most part. But apparently continual complaining is more favorable to the community than continual remarks of satisfaction. So many of you brand Ryan with "SPAMMER!" and "TROLL!!" yet you refuse to acknowledge that he has contributed things to this site that a true spammer or troll wouldn't take the time to do. Ryan has contributed multitudes of photos, reviews, constructive comments and smooth transactions in sales with other members. I've rarely, if ever, seen him make a negative post or comment on a personal level against anyone. It's obvious he loves Macross, it's obvious he loves the toys, it's obvious he loved having a group of people to share his sentiments with. The guy even went to the last MW Con. If he's ticked off at how he was treated and is acting irrationally or irresponsibly, I can understand that. Anyone who has had something they love taken away from them unjustly can understand that. As far as I'm concerned those of you involved in banning the guy and generally making unwelcoming remarks about him should be ashamed of youselves. I never thought I'd see such petty, elitist behavior from this forum (directed at toys, yes, at people, no), especially on such a large scale, but there it is. I've shared many, many hours of enjoyment here over the last 8 years, but the winds have changed and I don't feel comfortable here anymore nor do I feel the sense of community. One question for Ryan: After being treated this way, why would you even want to come back?
  15. Wow, this place has really turned to poo fast. Have fun with yourselves.
  16. So the lesson here is "don't question authority" and "authority gets the last word". I see.
  17. ...and you were banned from this forum for how long? I think Mods who annonymously give members insulting titles fit the 'annoying guy' profile more than someone who's just a super-fan.
  18. I hate to get involved, but has Ryan really offended anyone or done anything bad? A lot of people leave posts that don't measure up to the slim guidelines laid out by Dangard Ace, so what? Ryan has contributed a lot of content to the boards since he joined here including photos, customization tips, sales, etc. So he's more enthusiastic than most others, are we so jaded on this hobby that we have to rake the knuckles of someone who is really having a blast? I'd also like to add that his recent Mod-imposed 'titles' are insulting, juvenile and far more offensive than anything Ryan has posted or done. Stop picking on the guy and let him enjoy Macross.
  19. Found the new wave of Activators today but only picked up Prime. He's alright, but has some issues. Bot mode looks cool, like a scaled down Voyager Prime, but the peg holding his feet together for alt mode is far too large and long and flat and gets in the way so bad that his legs have to be spread or locked together to stand. Other than that bot mode is awesome. Alt mode is truly terrible looking, but even worse than it's aesthetics is the fact that it's extremely fiddly getting him into that mode and not at all intuitive. It's an exercise in over-design with weird pegs. I'm guessing a lot of little kids will be very frustrated with this guy. So yeah, it's no fun to transform and it looks bad when you get it there, so there's little reason to transform him.
  20. My answer revised: YES, there is ONE and only one that I would definitely buy. Hikaru's fanjet from the first episode of SDF:M.
  21. Sorry, I skimmed over the last couple of pages but I didn't see anything about this kit being snap or glue. Thanks for the info, I'm glad to know it's a snap-kit. And I know HLJ is often wrong, which is why I asked. I forget which toy I bought from them a few years back but it was obviously just an action figure and they had it listed as a model that required glue to assemble.
  22. Just gave my 1S Dr. Shin's shoulder adjustment and it worked like a charm. I found the shoulder plates very easy to pop off - just crab the corners on the bottom and pull them outward a little and it slides right off. Putting them back on is even easier. One thing I noticed when adjusting the screws: The right arm, the one that has been breaking for some people, had far tighter screws than the other arm. I had to give the screws on the right arm almost another full turn to get the joint as loose as the left arm.
  23. I'm always willing to pay for EMS just for, as Roger said, piece of mind. Waiting for something to come in the mail with no tracking, especially from another country, just about ruins my nerves completely. I have this cartoon image in my mind of dock workers chucking every box without a tracking number straight into the sea, where they are then torn to shreds by sharks while the sadistic dock workers look on and laugh and feel a little bit better about their crappy jobs.
