Don't cofuse it's lack of popularity on this forum with it's popularity in general. As for the price of this thing, if it really is as large as it looks in the photos where it's being held in someone's hand, it looks to be a lot bigger than the 1/100 VF-25. Unless the one in the photos is an upscaled prototype, it looks like the toy will be closer to 1/60 VF-1 size. ~80, ~90 for something that size sounds like a great price to me. Regardless of size, I'm really excited for this release.

It could be due to lighting.

I actually like the lighter colors more than what we originally saw. But perhaps later Bandai will release one with a paintjob that matches the Quarter we saw in the series.

I can't look at toys like Classics Bumblebee and Universe Cyclonus, or most of Animated and agree with the sentiment that "there is no love in Transformers anymore". You may not like them, but the people who sculpted them certainly did.

Meh, I'd be completely happy with a big Fort Max-grade SDF-1.

I think a partial answer to your question is that not all Chinese factorys are the same. Meaning, just because something is made in China doesn't mean it it going to be made in the same kind factory and under the same guidelnes as a cheap plastic ball in the Wal-Mart dollar bin. Yes, Yamato is saving money by having their products made in China, but it costs money to have a factory, no matter where it is, follow certain levels of quality control, production time, etc. Yamato could have a factory make these things much cheaper if they wanted to, but the end product would be of much lesser quality. In the end, as many have said, Yamato wants to make a profit. If they didn't profit there wouldn't be any incentive for them to keep making this crap for us.

Hrm...that one does kind of burn. I want that one even more than Klan's. Oh well, I guess I'd rather see it made as an obtainable exclusive than not made at all.

Some of the best attorneys at my firm were made in China for virtually nothing.

If this toy isn't frustrating in some way, I can see myself playing with it a heck of a lot more than any Yamato I have. It's refreshing to see a company making macross toys.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
eriku replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
CMs Products might be "notoriously bad" here, but this site isn't exactly a good litmus test for robot toy collectors in a general sense. I'd argue that CMs aren't anywhere close to being "notoriously bad", but I know who I'd be up against. -
None of the Revoltechs I have are made of rubbery plastic. Maybe I'm owning them wrong?

Fuu, is that you? Bonus points for not having rooted hair.

Bah, I've had a shirt with the UN Spacey kite on it for 9 years now and I've only ever gotten one remark, which was "Is that Robotech?"
-
Awesome, I love the chunked-out and boxy look of the fighter mode.

Sorry, I'll translate my post for you. So....how come nobody is talking about recasting this yet? *I am now blowing a raspberry at the ludicrous idea of recasting such a limited and expensive kit* Is that better? Oops, sorry.. *I am now winking to show that I am just goofing around* Back on topic _________________________ Out of curiosity, considering this kit is going to be different from regular modeling plastic and resin, what kind of glue would be used to put something like this together?
-
Well yeah, that was kinda my point. See the " " in my previous post.

And still we wait for a toy company to make an updated SDF-1 that is a real toy. Le sigh.

Seems like it's taken forever to get this one on the air. I wonder how long it'll take to get the End of Time on the air afterward? It's supposed to be a "Christmas Special" episode isn't it? Also, have you guys seen the pic that's been floating around of the inside of the new Tardis? Can't tell a lot from it, but it does seem to have a bit of a 'retro' look, and it looks like there may be a catwalk or second level or something in it.

But I want it NOW!

The transforming Mazinger has barely any metal as well. And poor articulation. While the fist mode is cool, the toy is pretty disappointing overall. I'll actually be putting mine up for sale soon.

Well yeah, the SOC Ideon is a big toy too. I wasn't saying the SDF-1 isn't big, just not as massive as I was expecting. Regardless, I'm not getting this at any size so it's not like I'm disappointed or pleased. Just an observation.
-
Wow, that's actually considerably smaller than I was expecting. Looks about SOC Ideon size from head to feet. I think $300 or so is fair for something that size, but I can't imagine it being that low.
-
Thanks! Hopefully that's all it is. I'll pass along the info and have them see if any screw holes are capless.

I do too, I was just poking fun, thus the multiple
