  1. Deluxe 087-06-0546 Voyager 087-06-0807 You can plug in your zip and city on the following links and check online. Deluxe - Target Mobile Site Find in Store Voyager - Target Mobile Site Find in Store Picked up Wheeljack and Soundwave yesterday from Target. Soundwave is pretty cool, although not quite what I associate the name with. Wheeljack is absolutely amazing, and one of the best deluxe TFs I've ever seen. One thing cool about him is that even though he is Prime he could kind of pass for Classics and Animated as well. Just a really, really solid carformer.
  2. Yeah, "battying" wasn't what people chose to write, it was what the forum automatically plugged in if you typed "bitching" (or batty instead of bitch). I'm pretty sure there were substitutions for other profanities as well.
  3. Egads, my Legacy avatar is forever recorded as Amelie. I think I had her as an avatar for a few days as part of some in-joke or something. Kind of neat though considering my 3 month old daughter is named Amelia. I love reading through my posts from almost a decade ago and seeing how opinions can change. I found one where I'm bitching about how shitty the Transformers Armada Tidal Wave toy is, and yet today it's one of my favorite TFs.
  4. I'd buy one, although I would prefer 1/18 scale so my old Robotech figures can fit inside. Always room for more VF-1 toys in my book, its one design I will never get sick of.
  5. ...should I be embarrassed to say that, considering I spent over $300 on the CMs set, I would have no problem spending $500 on a Yamato set?
  6. I think it uses a special combination of anime magic and mass shifting. Or maybe the air goes into the intakes and is transported to the engines via a special "wormhole drive" where it then exits the thrusters. That's my way of shrugging and saying, "dunno."
  7. Out the thrusters (robot feet) in the back.
  8. Curious to know what you think of the lack of locking parts in jet mode. While I would prefer tabs and locks, it's never bothered me on the Legioss because the parts on mine are all tight enough where nothing really moves out of place when I swoosh it around. All things considered, I'm content with the CMs set. I would, however, absolutely love to see what Yamato could do with the license and I have no doubt theirs would be the best. I would buy one in an instant.
  9. So excited to get this in a couple of weeks. While I would also love a hyper-detailed SOC GoLion, I really dig the unabashed toy stylings of this one. It just screams PICK ME UP AND PLAY WITH ME!
  10. That's possibly the closest any VF-1 toy has ever gotten to the lineart - in all three modes. I don't know how they did it but I suspect magic was involved.
  11. Well, I paid about $300 for my blue CM when it was first released. Does that answer your question?
  12. The only toy I've ever owned that was worse than the Toynami Alpha/Legioss was the Aoshima Alpha/Legioss. Somehow Aoshima took an already terrible toy and made it worse. I've got a series of photos on one of the Mospeada threads here, but I don't feel like picking at a scab so i wont dig them up. That said, I love my CMs. It may not connect perfectly and it may take some liberties with design, but at least it doesn't look and feel like it was assembled by an angry chimpanzee.
  13. Bah, I never look at the manual. BECAUSE I'M A MAN! Actually I rarely look at transformation guides unless I feel like I might break something. For me part of the fun of transforming toys is figuring out how they work. That said, it took me about 4 or 5 minutes to transform everything on the 17 but the hip mechanism - that alone took an extra 10 minutes and required watching Veef's video. I was actually doing it right, it's just so tight that it felt like I was doing it wrong.
  14. The only complaint I have about this thing is that it took so long to finally get one. It's hard and painful work lavishing 15 years worth of pent up love on such a sharp and pointy toy. Ouch.
  15. Same here, I actually prefer it that way.
  16. Oooh...I might have to put the grey kites on mine. Originally I was bummed at the lack of tampo but now I don't mind. Options are good, even if stickers never look as good as paint. I just wish they included more of the stickers because I don't have a steady hand so I'll probably botch one or two trying to trim them.
  17. Awesome pics! Got my Amiami order paid for, and now I impatiently wait...
  18. ^ I can get on board with that.
  19. I wonder if they decided to skip the tampo details in order to get it released on time? It's a bummer, but doesn't affect my decision to buy it...or give it hugs every day.
  20. Maybe they did it as an homage to the 1/65 DX 17 and will later do a reissue with the marking painted on.
  21. Agreed. Very solid toy, nice and big too. I recommend the re-issue because it has the markings painted on.
  22. Can someone post some lineart pics of the exploding shoulders? I want to make sure Yamato got them just right. Something tells me the breakage point is .5mm off where it should be.
  23. Mmmmm....candy. It's good to see how the transformation works.
  24. Oh, OK. Thanks for setting us straight. We apologize for liking it.
  25. About last night's episode...spoilers below. I assume when Finn felt underneath Susan Strong's hood he didn't feel gills, which could mean she's a human and that's probably why she wanted him to stay with her. Would that make her the only other human besides Finn so far? Or his expression could mean he felt gills...or it could mean nothing and they'll never address it again. Also, I love seeing Finn's long, flowing golden hair.
