I'm going to build a special display box for this and the Yamato VF-17. It'll have lights, a rotating stand and will play that "Black and White" song. Bandai & Yamato, together and at their best.

Its gotta be pretty damn close to 1/48. Placing a a 1/48 Yamato pilot on it's head seems about the right size.

You could give it to Ignacio Ocamica to replace the one he's giving to Graham.

I don't want to discourage you, but I've sent Toynami three seperate emails in the past about items that were missing/broken (1/100 VF1, MP Alpha, a Futurama figure) and never got any kind of response.

Yeah, they were unfortunately too closely associated with the VF-1 Morphers, MPC and every other poorly-recieved toy Toynami was making at the time, so they got largely overlooked and didn't sell well at all. Never reissued, never redone. You could get them for just a few bucks each several years after their release. Oddly it's my favorite Legioss toy.

Got mine today and love it. It's very solid - feels like it came out of the 80's. Anyway, if you already hate it I doubt handling one will change your mind, since it's pretty much what you see is what you get. If you like what you see, you probably wont be disappointed. Just dial down your adult-collector-high-end expectations and have some fun.

Toynami made 4 different SD Legioss figures - designed by Maiden Japan (a member of this forum).

It's sold out. If you try to put one in your basket it doesn't let you - typical Matty store behavior for items that are recently sold out.

sold out in under 9 hours. Not too shabby. Can't wait until Monday when I find out how good/bad this kitty is.

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force

Agreed - I don't mind swapping if it makes for a more simple, sturdy toy. -

Toynami was there. http://www.collectiondx.com/article/nytf2012_toynami The only Robotech item seems to be the Officer's Battlepod. I'd get excited about the Futurama stuff, but considering they're showing stuff they've been showing since 2010, and considering they didn't really have any new product out last year (aside from a talking Bender), I'm just going to assume its all vaporware.

Heh, I wonder how many were in stock when I posted that link.

The VF-X was limited, but still pretty darn easy to get. Even to this day you can still get it at BBTS for a not-too-horrible price. http://www.bigbadtoy...spx?search=VF-X As for the Cavaliers being misinterpreted...perhaps we're the ones misinterpreting it and thinking the black deco is a shadow? Regardless of what's "correct", I think the black deco looks ace.
-
Toynami is taking a crap with their Futurama line as well, which is far more painful for me. The figures were actually pretty good.
-
What they said. As for the Cavalier, I think it'll look pretty good next to my VF-X.

You know how sometimes computer companies will hire a hacker because, even though they did something illegal, they obviously have valuable skills? Yeah, Hasbro should maybe think about hiring some people from 3rd party companies to do their designs. I'm sorry, but that FoC Bruticus just looks ridiculous, and I can't see how any amount of re-transformation can "fix" it. I'm wondering if people genuinley really like it or if they are letting the feelings of "OMG OFFICIAL DELUXE COMBINER!!!" get in the way. I mean, I appreciate the gesture but the result looks like a Power Core Combiner to me.

I'm really not feeling the FoC Bruticus, or his various parts, at all. Probably because I don't care for the WFC/FoC style very much in the first place.

I actually just took my CMs Ride Armor off the shelf recently with the intentions of packing it up and selling it. Aside from the already broken windshield, some other parts fell off/broke/Idon'tevencareanymore so it's now sitting at the bottom of a storage box where it probably wont be seen until it's dug up by an archaeologist. As far as looks are concerned, the CMs is still my favorite design, but unfortunately it just doesn't like to be touched. The riders are still good figures though, so there's that. :/

Wheeljack doesn't seem that small to me. As for Cliffjumper, I've got the FE version and after handling the RiD version I have no desire to replace the FE with it. Just feels sort of junky and half-assed in comparison. That said, if the RiD version were the only one available, I might have been OK with it.
