Yes there is, the KONSPIRA version makes all my video programs crash!!!!! Sounds like you need to update your codecs. Yep, I too had a hard time getting KONSPRIAs stuff to work until I got the freshest codecs.

Yup. I hope they're still able to release their version. But I also think that KONSPIRA does a great job with their fansubs. Agreed. KONSPIRA is a close second to LMF.

I would guess that he's BSing you. A lot of people that work in that line of business are filled with BS. I remember bringing some vintage Star Wars figures in to a used toy shop to sell in 1995 (it was a Darth Vader carying case filled with pristine figures including the Rebo band). The guy running the place told me that he'd only be able to give me a couple bucks for the figures because the new POTF figures had made the vintage figures basically worthless. I wasn't collecting toys at that time so I wasn't sure if he was feeding me a line or not, so I just sold a couple of the figures and hung on to the rest. In the years after that I got used to toy shop folks making crap up and trying to devalue potential buys. I don't even deal with them anymore. If I have something to sell I can do it via various forums. If that doesn't work I plug my nose and dive into the Ebay.

More bad news from the LMF front. http://gits.no-jutsu.com/gits/ That stinks. Oh well, I'm sure something will work out. BTW, has anyone snagged subbed versions of eps 5 and 6 yet? I've been able to find raw versions for a week or so now but nothing subbed.

Well it's obvious that he's a tank, I guess I should have worded my question differently and asked if anyone has a picture of his alt mode. Just knowing he's a tank doesn't really mean much, does the tank actually look decent? Energon Shockblast turns into a 'tank' as well (if you can call it that) but it looks like ass. I guess I'll just go Google around for some pics.

I'd still prefer 'perfect transformation' and tampo painting, but I reckon that if I can bag this bird for under $40, I will.

Wow...by the looks of the alt modes it's as if Hasbro tried extra hard to make this one look as foul as possible. Seriously, I can't even see an unbiased kid having fun with that mess. The bot mode looks nice, but not nice enough to make me buy it.

What does the alt mode look like?

I'm just curious, but for those of you who make the G1 series sound like it was a well-written and terriffic show, have you watched it recently? I remember loving it as a kid and was exiceted when the DVD sets came out, but I'm glad I rented them before buying becuase I found the show almost painfully bad. Even with the nostalgia factor it's hard for me to make it through a full episode.

Japan gets this awesome looking film and we get I freakin' Robot. BTW, that Casshan figure in Takara's Microman line looks fan-damn-tastic!

I find that once I set my nostalgia aside I am open to far more things and can appreciate them on their own levels. It's the same thing with watching a movie that's based on a book. Once you can appreciate things on their own terms without constantly making comparisons, there is more enjoyment to be had. This is why I don't really care who the Bin/Alt characters are or what colors they are. If they are G1 accurate, cool. If not, so what, it's still a cool toy. I'm in this hobby more because I love cool toys than I am for nostalgia stroking. And although G1 Transformers are high on the nostalgia scale, most of them aren't very great toys as far as design and creativity go. That said, I didn't like the Armada series. Granted, I only saw maybe a dozen episodes of the series, but that should be enough to get an accurate feel. RID/Car Robots wasn't that much better. Actually, I found myself most enjoying Sky Bite, who was really the most nonsensical element of the show. Something about a mecha-shark 'swimming' through the air and singing songs to himself really clicks with me, but hey, I'm a weirdo. The later episodes with Fort Max were pretty cool too. As for Energon, I've seen the first 7 episodes so far, and although I thought it had a terrible start I have to say it's really picked up. I would even say that I eagerly await the new episodes. The toy lines all have their good and bad elements. There isn't a single TF line where I don't like at least a few of the toys. RID had some great stuff across the board, and even though Armada bordered on unwatchable as a cartoon it did spawn some great toys towards the end. Supercon Prime, Overload, Tidal Wave and Unicron are some really damn cool toys. I like Energon toys so far too, and so far out of the one's I've purchased the only one I've been disappointed with is Prowl. And it goes without saying that I think Bin/Alt and 20th Prime are the cream of the crop. They're my favorite toys in my TF collection by far, with the Worlds Smallest and Choro-Q's taking a close second. I can see why a lot of people don't like Transformers beyond G1, or why some people don't like them at all. What I can't understand is why some of those people seem like they can't accept people who DO. There's nothing more strange and pointless than one group of geeks chastising another group of geeks. We're all geeks who like cartoons and toys, some people just dig on differen't flavors. Your flavor may taste better to you and you may not like my flavor. We disagree, big deal. It doesn't mean you have to be a confrontational dick.

I'm going to admit something here at the risk of making me sound like a boob. I like fat Prime. He's far from my favorite of course, but I like the fact that he's fat. I think there needs to be more fat mechas.

Snow Cat is pretty cool. I got him back in January with Rodimus and Prowl. I still think Divebomb is the best figure from Wave 2 though.

While I do like the set, for some reason "Fat Man amd Little Boy" comes to mind.
