Official Transformers Alternators and more thread.

It's the same story around here. The first two sold really, really well for the first month. But, like Bloodcat said, after that everyone had one already. -
Cool, thanks for the pics, Kevin (and >EXO< for posting the link)! Any doubts I may have had are now washed away. Hopefully there will be several squadrons of these departing China today and all of us here will have one by the end of the month (wishful thinking, I know).

I haven't read any info on a region 1 release yet. As for the episodes, 6 have been released so far. I don't think 5 and 6 have been fansubbed yet though. One thing that I think is interesting is if you do an Ebay search for "Samurai Champloo" it doesn't bring up anything. And it seems like there's ALWAYS bootlegs for new anime on ebay. Weird.
-
It just started recently in Japan and is only up to episode 6 so far. I'm guessing that, like me, everyone here has been watching the fansubs. I don't think any boots are available yet. Anyone know if eps 5 and 6 are subbed yet? I keep finding raw versions... well then I can't wait till this sucker comes out in the states!! I hope it'll be here when I finish up gungrave. How long does a series typically take to hit the US market after it debuts in Japan? A year? I'll already have the inevitable 3-disc "Perfect Collection" complete series HK boot by the time it gets released on DVD here. And then I'll buy those, too.

D'oh, I don't know why I was thinking 1/6 scale, which seemed too unrealistically large to be true. -

So can a 12" figure sit in the cockpits of these things? -

LOVE this series. The only thing to really stir me since Bebop was GITS:SAC, but this is, so far, even better than that (sorry Tachikomas ). Now all I need are some quality articulated figures of Mugen, Jin and Fuu (with her flying squirrel of course) and I'll be good to go.
-
Alright, this one better get a line of figures so I can finally have a little Milla to, erm, uh...display.
-
It will go lower than that, too. If a Target clearnace price doesn't end with a "4" then it will still go down. After that the stuff gets shipped to Goodwill and other places.
-
I know, but even knowing when they leave China is good enough for me. Up until now all we've had for dates are vague timelines that kept getting pushed back. I'm really glad they didn't pack it in bot mode this time. Looks good.
-
I do believe that is the deal over at VE. $79.99 to be exact. Here is the note when you go to place the preorder: I hope that 7/12 shipping date is accurate, I grow more anxious by the day to get my paws on this thing.

Man, I've had the Binaltech Hound for so long now that I forgot Hasbro's wasn't out yet. I hope Hound is easier for people to find than Silverstreak, it's one of the best TFs ever made I think. -
Someone said what needed saying about Anime Fandom
eriku replied to Bloodcat's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I only like about 10% of anime myself, but that's just MY OWN PERSONAL TASTE. Why in the hell should I let anime I don't like bother me? Why in the hell should ANYONE let anime they don't like bother them? That guy sounds like a typical radio shock-jock tool and I have more respect for a guy like Man-Faye than I do for his type. To each his own, life is too short to rant and rave about things other people like. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Belittling people who do just makes you a dick. -
So would a woman wearing the exact same Faye outfit be allowed in AX without a trenchcoat?
-
Well. after those pics now I'm officially sold. Which is good because I already had one on preorder.
-
Considering Toynami will ream any retailer who does go lower... I was just curious. I've already preordered from Kev and so far his free shipping on the Alpha has been the best 'deal-sweetener' I've seen.
-
So has anyone seen an Alpha preorder for less than $79.99 yet?
-
Doesn't it kind of look like Grimlock can split at the torso in powerlink sort of way? Maybe him and Swoop can combine, make a sort of larger winged bot.
-
That's OK, all my Street Fighter money will be going to the new action figure line from SOTA anyway.
-
How do we know those are for the Cybertron line and not for the tail end of Energon? I'm liking how those Dinobots are looking. Grimlock seems to have a transformation just like the G1 version.

Nah, that new Omega Supreme bares as much of a vague resemblance to any number of generic battleship designs as much as it does the Macross. Even Armada Tidalwave is slightly more comparable to the Macross than the new Omega Supreme is, and Tidalwave doesn't really call the Macross to mind either.

Just completed mine actually, it took a while to score the first set since even non-Evangelion fans are after it (it was the first Kubrick set ever). The Kubricks are the highlight of my Evangelion collection, even over the SOCs and Perfect Rei.

I really like the second 12" Spike figure from Medicom, although the head is a little small. I think the Kaiyodo figure is alright too, but everything else is pretty much crap. I guess there is that one really nice looking Faye figure from Volks but it's so rare that it might as well not exist.

Meh...when will someone make some good Bebop figures? That 'Faye' reminds me more of cosplay than it does the character. For as popular as Bebop is I'm surprised there has yet to be a decent line that has all the major characters and some of the secondary characters and villians. They don't even need Marvel Legends articulation or anything, just enough to be serviceable. Gimme something to work with here.
