  1. It's odd that Trey and Matt would parody Michael Moore like that when they are friends. Matt was even in Bowling for Columbine... Anyway, I love the work of Trey and Matt so I'll definately be seeing this. It's always nice to see America lampooned.
  2. I may be the only person here that would love to see a transforming Fiat Nuova 500 toy. I hope that eventually Has/Tak will look into using older car designs for the Bin/Alt toys.
  3. M*A*S*H is the first show I can remember watching on television back when I was a kid, and I loved it then just as much as I do now. I don't think I really appreciated the drama as much as the comedy at that age, but that is one of the truly great things about the show: it's got something for everyone. My roommate has always been a big M*A*S*H fan too and she knows more geeky facts about M*A*S*H than I do about Macross or Miyazaki movies. There just isn't much in the way of television programming that I absolutely love, but M*A*S*H is at the top (Seinfeld is up there, too). I'm happily collecting the DVD season sets, but I wish they'd release them more frequently since they don't seem to really be putting much work into them. I'd also like to see a nice series of action figures, maybe by Sideshow...
  4. Remy posted it on the Tfans forums. Some guy named Nanashi gets the credit for it.
  5. I had the New Years Prime which I absolutely adored. I loved the extras and I loved the blue windows and eyes. The show-accurate gun was really cool too. And then the Masterpiece Prime came out and demanded that I sell off the NY Prime to afford it, and I did. No regrets at all.
  6. ::double post because I'm an idiot...::
  7. I wonder if there would be a way to do that with Prime as the torso?
  8. What, did everyone forget the Sci-Fi Channel's Blair Witch "documentary" already? Producers these days must really love the short attention span of this country.
  9. I watched a few episodes when it first started, maybe the first 5 or 6. It was alright, but I found it a little too goofy and kiddified, and I absolutely hated the main character. There are something like 128 episodes now, so it very well could have changed. I know it was a huge success in Japan. What else do you like? Samurai Champloo is a really great new series...
  10. Watched 7 this afternoon and thought I'd give my thoughts. Where the last two were a bit more action-packed and fun, this one has a more somber tone and further develops Fuu's character. The group wins some money and is finally able to buy some food after three days, Fuu is in charge of the money and gets pickpocketed. The rest of the episode deals with the theif and how different people percieve him. It's really well written and will make you fall in love with Fuu (if you haven't already...). I love how the group in this series is always after food, just like the Bebop crew.
  11. Have you watched it yet? How is the English dubbing?
  12. They're alll fine and good until they kill you in your sleep...
  13. Episode 7 is out now! Should have it in a couple hours.
  14. I've been trying to set aside enough time to download that, too. I've had the super-cool Casshern Microman figure from Takara for a few weeks now and still haven't seen the movie.
  15. "Who would want to open up their a-hole for you?" That Dutch guy was hilarious, especially his Japanese.
  16. I like the idea of a mini cooper as a TF, but I really hope the final bot design is drastically different from what is on the website. The seat feet are revolting. I wonder if it'll be Bumblebee? Nice to see the Arielbots make a comeback...although two of the figures are just repaints of two other figures in the set, which is a huge turn-off. Why not go all the way with the idea rather than crapping out with repaints? I expect more out of Takara. And the combined mode isn't doing much for me either. The torso is nice, but the poor thing doesn't have any hands or feet. Bleh.
  17. I just watched episodes 5 and 6 last night and they are my favorites so far. I thought episode 5 had a really well developed plot, and 6 was just flat out fun craziness (an eating contest) that still dangled on a thin thread of the main plot (finding the Sunflower Samuarai). I honestly haven't been this satisfied with an anime series since Cowboy Bebop. If this one keeps getting more interesting and exploring/developing the individual characters to an even greater extent, I think it may even surpass Bebop. I think it's the relatively free-form style to the show that I find so appealingl. It can follow the main plot or it can deviate and have fun, just like Bebop. I hope the next episode(s) come out soon, and I'm surprised that a dozen toy companies aren't already jumping all over this license.
  18. Are they stupid or do they just have better things to worry about? Unless the clerk taking the return is a Transformers fan, or someone familiar with the popular details of our geekdom, they wouldn't have any reason to know what Prime is supposed to be holding. Hell, you could probably return him with the accessories missing, the twisties gone and still get away with it. Back when Star Wars Ep1 was out and the Royal Starship set came out, people everywhere were buying it, removing the exclusive red R2 droid and returning it with a different figure in it's place. Or no figure in it's place. They were also just straight up ripping the window on the box open and snatching the figure. I've seen other Star Wars 'remix' toys too. The most hilarious one was earlier this year. Someone had bought one of those Jedi Council 3-packs, removed the tall and distinctive Yareal Poof figure and the Yaddle figure and neatly replaced them with a battle droid and an Episode 1 Yoda. The Droid has articulated knees so it sat in the chair perfectly, and Yoda originally came with a chair so he sat in Yaddle's chair perfectly. You could not tell by looking at the package that it had been opened and the twisty ties were even in place. I'm sure the clerk didn't even look twice at it or check the package to make sure it was the same figures. Toys are toys to most people. Kind of a dirty trick but I couldn't help laughing out loud in the toy aisle.
  19. Yeah, I'm sure the valk was used because it looks cool. A Ninja Tune (it's a label that carries a lot of DJs and electronic music artists) compilation came out a few years ago that has a Gundam model on the cover and all over the inner artwork. Same sort of thing I would guess, just looks cool.
  20. I've nearly given up on retail stores at this point. It's very, very rare that I find something I'm looking for. The hunt used to be fun but after being to the same stores so many times it's just become an aweful chore that is rarely (Target) to never (TRU) rewarding. Actually I rarely find what I want at specialty stores, either. I still use online shopping as a 'last resort' for most things, but since I almost always resort to it I'm considering just giving up on retail altogether and preording everything I want online.
  21. Capital idea, sir! I would definately buy a second gun if someone were to recast it.
  22. Thank you good sir!
