  1. "Maybe feelings are feelings because we can't control them." Trey and Matt are some of the best comedy writers of our time.

    custom joke machine

Truly beautiful indeed! I always enjoy the JM customs more than 1/55 or Yammie customs. Nice work!
  3. Yeah, the good old Chunky Monkey will hold it's own for eternity. I had a 1J a while back, but that was my only experience with a CM. Yesterday I got a Super 1S reissue and I don't know if it's the bright whiteness or the fastpacks or what, but it instantly replaced the 1/48 as my second favorite valk toy. First will always be my 1S Joke Machine. I think it would be interesting if Bandai made a few slight alterations to the Chunky Monkey, like new heads, articulated wrists, rotating thighs, a collapsable gunpod and the ability to lock the legs in place in fighter mode. It could all be done easily and it would only improve the greatness of the toy. Of course it would never happen since there isn't much of a market left for their Chunky little Monkeys...
  4. Hey, just be glad that it's not Jake Lloyd in the ROTJ spirits scene! I'm fine with all the changes. I've loved Star Wars dearly since I was 4 years old, but I've never really taken any versions of the films seriously enough for Lucas' changes to bother me. In whatever incarnation, they're all just entertaining dumb-ass sci-fi popcorn flicks anyway. And I mean that it the best of ways.
  5. Yeah, Bandai could at the very leas release the GBP armor, by itself, UV resistant or not.
  6. Indeed, I am already eagerly anticipating the inevitable 3-disc "Perfect Collection" boot of the entire series. And I hate to keep repeating myself, but...TOYS NOW!!!!!
  7. Eeee...those are like the Bizarro World versions of Leader 1 and Cy-Kill...a world where Go-Bots are actually cool and interesting toys! I actually like that color scheme (or lack of) for the Legioss. And Turbo Teen looks like Michael and K.I.T.T somehow managed to spawn an unholy love-child. Puts a whole new spin on the name "Knight Rider"...
  8. Well I think this is all just a part of the advertising campaign for the new ALF DVD.
  9. Great post, Felix, I feel pretty much the same way but would never have been able to state it so well. About the bells and whistles on the Alpha, when I first took the toy out and opened the missle hatches I had this feeling that I would probably never bother opening them again. I think they add a nice touch, but it's honestly something I could have done without...much like the retractable heat shield, removable nosecone and wingflaps on the 1/48 Yammies. Especially the heat shield, man that thing bugs me.
  10. I want that Garland more every time I see it, especially after seeing the scale. Too bad they didn't have one displayed in bot mode...
  11. Well that stinks. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to drill a hole into the soft PVC of the SP hands. Reason #114 why I should go out and buy a dremel.
  12. Like I said before, the articulated fingers are nice but it would have been even better if the hands were done just like the superposables: fixed poses and lots of them to swap. I wonder how hard it would be to remove the current hands and use the SP ones...
  13. Yeah, it's crazy how people have this weird tendancy to do whatever they want to do with their own money...
  14. Cool, I can't wait for the Garland! Although I hope it doesn't have to be dismantled to achieve transformation...
  15. For as utterly worthless as Kazaa is these days I'm amazed how many people still use it. One only has to search a little bit to find alternatives that are soooooo much better. As for episode 12, since it's just a recap I may not even bother downloading it and just watch it next year when I have the DVDs.
  16. I don't think the choices cover the full range of reasons why someone would or would not buy more. For example, I only ever intended to buy Scott's Alpha, just like I only ever intended to buy Roy's VF-1S 1/48. So the reason I'm not going to be buying any more Alphas is because I already have the one I want. As for the Beta, I would consider it, but given the fact that I think it's one of the most hideous looking mechas ever designed, it would most likely take a two month period of me being bored and having too much money to spend in order for me to end up with one. The next MPC I'll definately be buying is Scott's Cyclone. Unless of course Toynami has run themselves into the ground before it's released...
  17. Heh, to this day I've never been able to make it all the way through Blade Runner...
  18. I hope Gamestop at least instructs people to contact Toynami for an exchange.
  19. Heh, I remember seeing the 12" action figures for this movie in a hobby store here over a year ago. As of yesterday there is still one left actually....
  20. Well, I can only speak for myself but I wasn't bitching, whining, OR assuming these figures were directed at collectors (although selling the first 500 on Ebay pretty much means they at least partially ARE...) The purpose of this post was to primarily make fun of Lukes fastpacks and Vaders disco-dancing probot. No angst or ruffled fanboy feathers intended. I have nothing but love for the super-deformed style, the Joke Machine is still my favorite valk toy.
  21. Part of Hasbro's new Playskool line. To underline their madness, Hasbro is "selling" the first 500 units exclusivly on Ebay.
  22. Not to be outdone, Darth Vader invents new disco-dancing midget Probot droid. Codename: Probie...
  23. Hasbro had a brief moment of clarity with the new Vintage style toys, but now they've had a relapse. They need to be stopped.
