  1. More Cybertron pics up at TFW2005. Most prominant is Nitro Convoy and Flame Convoy, both of which look pretty damn cool. The other figures pictured look pretty good, too. This line is going to be great!
  2. One of my favorites. Wether it's slow or not depends on individual perception. If you've got ADD you probably shouldn't watch it.
  3. Maybe he has NO teeth. When he's Chancellor he put's in the clean dentures and when he's Sidious he puts in the eeeeevil dentures.
  4. I can understand that. While Yoda and Sidious with lightsabers doesn't really bother me, I think it was cool to have Jedi/Sith that didn't use tangible weapons to fight. There was no denying the pure evil power of Palpatine in ROTJ when he unleashed his force lightning on Luke. I think most people assumed that Yoda was the Jedi equivilant of him, and would use purely the Force to fight with. Giving them lightsabers, although wickedly cool looking (at least to some), diminishes their power in a way. The lightsabers bring them down to the same level as all the other Jedi and Sith. Again, it really doesn't bother me at all, but I can completely understand why it's a let down for a lot of people. I enjoyed the first two prequels, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too. It's a completely different level of enjoyment from films like Amelie or Down By Law (my two favorite films), but it's enjoyment nonetheless. It's comparable to, say, eating a really tasty candy bar VS. a perfectly grilled fillet of salmon.
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but are you in the United States? Nope....Malaysia....we seem to have a direct trading line with HK toy shops here. And its the BT , not Alternator. Unless the shop attendant didn't know what he was talking about...... Cool. Give us a review once you get it in your hands. I don't think anyone has reviewed the Binaltech version yet.

  7. Looks like Lucas is revisiting the planet of wookies idea that he originally had for ROTJ. It's cool to see that he's finally able to do it rather than put midgets in teddy bear suits.
  8. Already been posted in the Transformers thread.
  9. Not that I had high hopes for the movie anyway, but it's been reported on TFW2005 that John Rogers will write the script for the Transformers movie. You may remember him as the mastermind who penned Catwoman.
  10. Twin Moons Anime is another really great place to get them, along with other anime toys. BBTS does a stellar job packing things, but I think Tam at Twin Moons goes above and beyond. His hand-written "thank you" notes are a nice touch, too. Check out TMA here: http://www.tmpanime.com/
  11. Heh, i've been anxiously awaiting Remy's photoshoot since he got Grimmy a few days ago, glad to see he finally got it up. With this one I want it so bad that I'll get whichever version I can find first, BT or Alt.
  12. And like Stan learned on last week's episode of South Park, even though there is only a giant douche and a turd sandwich to choose from, it's still important to pick one.
  13. Best of luck to you. You'll be back before you know it!
  14. Wow....that copybot looks better than most Transformers have in the last few years. I want one!
  15. I proudly double dip. My Alts and BTs get along nicely.
  16. Nice display! And thanks for wearing clothes while you shot those pics...especially in the last one. next time, I'll be naked People have actually caught their naked reflections in pics that they post on Ebay auctions. I can never tell if it's accidental or "accidental".
  17. I will always think that the Bandai/Taka 1/55 is a true masterpiece of toy design and one of the best if not THE best transforming toy ever made. It may not look as sleek and accurate as a 1/48, but within the Chunky Monkey Bandai managed to get everything right. Perfect transformation, beautiful design, high quality and durable construction and fantastic QC. And the reissues with all the little decals painted on are even more impressive. The fact that people are still to this day experiencing it for the first time and singing it's praises is a great testament to how wonderful a toy it is. Now if they would just get off their butts and release the VF-1D....
  18. Nice display! And thanks for wearing clothes while you shot those pics...especially in the last one.
  19. Yeah, that was one of the first things I noticed. I almost like the doors better without windows though. Another Bin/Alt "first" I noticed was the rear-view mirror on Tracks. Too bad it doesn't actually have a reflective surface.
  20. Quote from P.Prime Ahhh, I see. I didn't read the forum, just looked at the pics. I wonder if Hasbro decided the barrel was an easily removed "choking hazard"... Here's hoping the Binaltech version comes intact, it's a crappy looking gun without it.
  21. They cropped it out of the picture so there wouldn't be a long, thin strip of carboard sticking up over the opening on the box. ::edit:: It's missing the barrel on the back of the box, too, even though the hinge is still there. And even more weird is that next to the gun it says "Removable engine becomes a shield" A shield?
  22. Put me down for two cannons. I may decide to get more but for now it's definately 2.
  23. Great! It's so cool of Rohby to take on this project. I think a poll is definately in order. I just picked up Alt Tracks from WalMart tonight, too. If you go a few pages back in this thread you can find me poo-pooing Tracks, but when I saw it on the shelf I couldn't resist. It's actually a pretty great TF.
