Maybe it's just my monitor, but I couldn't see if Dooku had hands or not until I pumped up the brightness in photoshop. Looks like he got BOTH hands lopped off. I wonder if Lucas has this phobia about losing his hands, and works it out through his movies. Too bad there isn't one more movie coming out, it could feature a beast that has five legs and looks strangely like a giant hand, and it's got tentacles that each terminate in another hand. A Jedi could spend half the film fighting that beast.

Max Factory's is indeed beautiful, but it's got the same problem that has kept me from getting any of the newer GGG toys up until now: Non-transformable. I'm basing my desire of CM's GGG on the ToyBoxDX rumble that Drifand did, which makes it sound pretty excellent. Either way, I'm still hoping it's a Monster I get for Xmas.

My big gift to myself this Xmas will be a Koenig Monster, if it's out. If not, then it'll be a CM Brave Gokin GaoGaiGar, which looks like an incredible toy.

I've been reading some TF forums and apparently those custom Head/Hands are pretty old and those pics came out shortly after MPC Prime did. That's what a lot of transfans are saying, but it seems weird that no one here has seen them before. As for the styrofoam thing, I agree that it's a bad substance, but I'm one of those fools who goes ga-ga over a shiny new robot toy all snug in a bed of styrofoam.

The most glaring ommision from that list is Lupin III. Love it or hate it (and there are legions of people since the 1970's who love it), you can't deny that it is one of the most loved and respected anime series of all time. That list is so garbage.

Those look great, but I prefer the original head, and I think I would end up breaking those hands to bits.

Other than that song playing during the trailer, I don't see anything to get worried about. And even if the movie isn't that great, I'm sure I'll at least be entertained by Depp's performance.

Here's a question...does that figure actually come like that? Complete with the shield, swords and gun? It's a disturbing image, due primarily to the melding of Gundam and man, but the sheer novelty and absurdity of it almost makes me want to get one. Even though I couldn't care less about Gundams.

I hope Grims makes it out for the holidays. It's kind of funny how a glut of Streaks and Hounds has replaced the glut of Smokys and Swipes. And even though I already have Tracks and Meister, it would still be nice to see them out in larger numbers. My guess is that these toys move in such a way that it keeps store shelves behind by a couple months from what is actually available. Optimistically I'd like to see Grims by Xmas, but realistically I think we'll see him in late January/February.

Bah. Ultra Magnus is on the top of my list for Transformer characters that never needed to exist.

Actually that's not quite accurate. They are being released in Japan starting in Jan/Feb, but the US release wont be until much later. Probably late summer/fall of 05.

That's too funny, but I'm all for a brown list. I just got a loose Scattershot figure in the mail the other day that's caked with grime. This thread makes me not want to touch it. Gives his name a whole new meaning, too...
