Official Transformers Alternators and more thread.

That's the infamous trunk mod for Sideswipe. Pretty easy if you have a decent cutting device (I didn't) and it doesn't ruin anything so if you don't like it you can still transform him the traditional way. All you have to do is cut out enough plastic on the trunk close to where the trunk 'arm' swivels. Trim away until there is enough froom for the trunk to fold all the way. The only other step is swapping the hands, which is pretty easy since they are on ball/socket joints, just pop 'em and swap 'em. There are pics floating around out there somewhere. And like SS said, the mod does look a bit odd from certain angles, almost like it should be a 'female' bot. Overall, I like both transformations for Swipe. -
Here's the email that my IT department sent to the whole firm about this latest 'scare' "While it's true that the major wireless phone providers (with the exception of Verizon) have announced their intention to establish a 411 directory of customers' cell phone numbers beginning in late 2005, it is not true that they plan to "publish" said directory for any and all to read. Participating companies say the numbers will be made available only with customer consent and only via telephone to users who dial directory assistance and pay a fee. The companies swear the numbers will never be available to telemarketers. Not everyone believes that, however, as evidenced by a privacy protection bill already introduced in Congress which would modify the plan to allow 411 callers to be directly connected to requested parties without the latter's phone numbers being given out. Per FCC regulations, telemarketers are already prohibited from calling cell phone numbers using automated dialers, which are standard in the industry. Dec. 15th 'deadline' is bogus In any case, the Federal Trade Commission does allow cell phone users to add their numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry — the same one already in force for landlines — either on the Web or by calling 1-888-382-1222. Contrary to what some variants of the email rumor claim, there is no December 15, 2004 deadline for adding cell phone numbers to the list — indeed, there is no deadline whatsoever."

Yeah, those stickers look great. I've actually been meaning to buy a set for a few weeks now, but I need to find an Alternators Meister first because i don't want to put them on my Binaltech one. -

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread
eriku replied to Montarvillois's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Looks like a knock-off Transformer? That's a peculiar thing to say about the Monster, even if you don't like it. I don't really see how anything on the Monster is comparable to any Transformer, legitimate or knock-off, other than the variable modes of course. Anyway...I was kind of hoping the box for the Monster would be an elegant and simple design like the 1/48 box. Maybe a nice olive green with a gold "VB-6 " in the center. Maybe with an embossed sillhouette of the monster. Oh well, it's the knock-off Transformer inside that I'm after anyway. -
So that's why rich people are so stiff, they wipe with glossy non-absorbant media. Although with paper like that you'd be doing more scraping than wiping...

Ahhhhh....now it's a matter of "Welcome to last week"! And here we all thought you were flaunting your new Monster. -
Ditto. I know some people were looking forward to it, but Yamato, or someone else, can certainly do better than that 1/100 VF-0 mess.

Waaaaaaahhhh...I want my monster! Wahhhhh!!! -
Man, I'm glad I'll have plenty of time to save up for this jolly green giant since presently I'll be spending three months worth of toy money on the jolly green Monster. By summer I should have a huge Monster VS. Scopedog display eating up half of the space in my apartment.

I think the strange symbols are the "eyes" that are on either side. To me, those are the most importand decals. I agree about using the 1/48 stickers for the others, but I think we'd all say really, really, really nice things about you if you at least made a sheet with some eyes on it. -

Heh, that actually looks pretty good. Wait a minute....is that Voltron's face? -
This stinks. I relied on Suprnova for fansubs and episodes of TV shows that I can't buy.

Excellent, that's been the main "i wonder if" for me with this thing. It's too bad they couldn't have at least painted the 'eyes' on. Stupid crappy Yamato labels. -
I'm no McFarlane fan, but it's pretty bogus that he lost that lawsuit. A name is a name is a name. To me "Tony Twist" isn't any different than John Smith or Jack Jones or Bill Peterson or whatever. Doesn't this sort of open up a whole big ugly can of worms that will allow anyone with a name that's the same as another name in some piece of media to file a lawsuit? Or is "Tony Twist" different from a 'common' name because the tool is a "professional"? ::edit:: I just thought of something, who would win in a legal battle between Robert Smith of the Cure and Robert Smith the football player? Or what if all the Robert Smiths in the United States formed a class-action lawsuit against the celebrity Robert Smiths because they've made a profit with their names? Sounds like great fodder for an episode of South Park.

Wow...I've been pining for the Monster for a while, but those last pics are going to make me lose sleep. Must....have....NOW!! -
I would say it's slightly more realistic that Monty Python, but all the same it's trying to be amusing more than realistic.

The the most entertaining gorefest I've seen since Dead Alive.

Oooooh! I know! A Bowl-bot 5000 that is made to look, sound and perform just like the Scrubbing Bubbles in the TV commercials! I'd buy a dozen of those things.
