I still find it hard to believe that there aren't any deleted scenes available from this film. As far as special edition DVDs go, the only things that makes them worthwhile for me are deleted scenese, alternate takes, or alternate cuts of the film. All the making of stuff is interesting once, but after that I never watch it again. I love this film, but I still see no reason for me to buy the UE. Thanks for the review, though!

WTF, is this thing made out of flour and water? All these stress marks make me nervous. I still want one though. -

That was my reaction two nights ago when I found a couple Grimlocks and Windchargers at Target. Only had enough scratch to get one, though, so Windy will have to wait. Grimlock is definately my favorite one so far, even if his sword is puny. -
Its eyes are freaking me out. Stop looking at me!!!!

I think Hasbro would be more likely to use Arcee than Elita-1. Arcee was a less obscure character and was also a toy in Energon. Regardless of what is deemed most appropriate or desireable by the hardcore fans I think Hasbro is more interested in name-recognition, and Elita-1 doesn't really have that. Wether or not they keep the Nitro part of the name I suppose depends on if they decide to keep the 'multiple Convoys/Primes' element of the story when they translate it for Cybertron. In the end I don't care a hoot. I still hold on the philosophy that I'm only in it for the toys, so what happens in the cartoons or within the text on a package doesn't typically concern me too much. If they would have released Masterpiece Prime under the name "Underpants Jackson" it would still be the same awesome toy. -

I certainly hope so. Meanwhile Nitro Convoy from Galaxy Force makes a pretty nice looking female TF. I'm wondering if Hasbro is going to name her Arcee when they release it over here. -
Oh come on, guys, you're all just laughing to hide the fact that you want to know the same thing. Except for those of you that are asian. Or gay.

And didn't Wolverine morph into some ass-looking wolf or something? Those were pretty bad. This line is a lot easier to stomach since it's a pilot/vehicle thing and not the actual superhero transforming. -
How long is the soundtrack? From watching the show, I was disapointed by it. While Kanno's quality is as good as ever, there was a distinct lack of quantity. Yes. Except, Yoko Kanno has nothing to do with the soundtrack. It's mostly done by Tsuchie, Force of Nature, Nujabes and Fat Jon. Yep, and if there isn't enough music for you on it, just buy some Nujabes and Fat Jon albums, their stuff that isn't on Champloo is just as good. Nujabes is a personal favorite of mine.

Actually Wolverine seems to be the best one by far, and the only one I would be sure to buy. I kind of like Iron Man, Hulk and Thing too. The rest don't do much for me. Neat idea, even if it is just a blatant move to cash in on the success of Transformers. -
I've wondered that, too. Seems like an unusually large span of time between the Us and JP release. Is it possible that there are plans to air the Votoms series in the US this spring and they want the toy to coincide with that? Just speculation. Comcast on Demand has benn running Votoms for a few months now. They're slow a crap about it though. It's been about 3 months and they're only up to episode 8. Guess that shows how much someone with rabbit-ears on his TV knows about current television programming.

The iPod Shuffle does play songs in a linear, pre-selected order as well. Apple, though, is hyping up the "shuffle" function. Personally, I think it's not the most sound move. When I started reading it, I almost stopped when I thought it could only play music in a random order. That's not true, though. From Apple's site... "With Play in Order mode, you manage the music. If things take a turn for the predictable, never fear. Turn iPod shuffle over, flip the slider to Shuffle and mix on the go." That's a relief. I guess I'm just one of those "dumb people" that CF18 mentioned. All I've read or heard about it so far only mentions the shuffle feature. Seems to be a weird feature to hype since it's far from a new thing, and isn't exclusive to the iPod. The MiniMac on the other hand may look cool but it seems fairly unneccessary. Someone mentioned using it for uploading stuff onto your iPod...but does anyone really need a whole separate computer just for that? Maybe it would fit into the market better if it was priced like a game console, around $150 to $200.

The best I can say about it is that it's better than the iPod Shuffle. I was so, soooo excited when I heard that there was finally going to be a mass-market affordable iPod (I buy way too many toys to afford a real iPod). Finding out that it only plays tracks in a random shuffle fasion was a real turd in the ice cream. After 20 years with various 'shuffle' and 'random play' buttons at my disposal, I think I maybe have used the feature twice. I like listening to music either in the form of albums or compilations that I arrange. I guess I'm just missing out on all the 'ooooh, what's next?' excitement of shuffle. I think it's funny how Apple said they wanted to make an iPod that was even easier to use, thus the one button Shuffle was born. Thanks to the countless legions of retards who just can't figure out a regular iPod, we're finally getting an affordable one and it's going to be a fasionable (it's made to be worn like a pendant!) chunk of crap. I'm sure it will sell like hot-cakes, too. Sorry to hijack the thread. I think the concept of the MacMini is noble, but the excecution really leaves a bit to be desired.

OMG, are you serious?! I would go crazy for a glass piece with a little Macross kite logo imbedded in a bubble or something like that.

But it looks like the head of the Astromech droid would get in the way of the wing folding inward though. Graham That's what I was thinking, too. In fact, I've never liked the the way astromechs are positioned in the wing area, like on the Jedi Starfighter in Ep.II. It just seams asymmetrical for the sake of being asymmetrical, no real purpose or functionality. And it really hinders the otherwise sleek and elegant design.

OK, the answer in "no". What was the question? -
Ah crap, I'd run out and buy it right now if I didn't have so many birthdays siphoning out my wallet this month.

Because you got a liberal monster, mine leans to the right so I think it's conservative... The way it slings missles, it's more like a neocon. Maybe the monster has the WMDs But I thought the Monster IS a WMD... -

Eh? I've got VP and quite honestly it's about the most detailing I've ever seen on a TF. I was surprised to see MORE details on it in person than what Remy's photo's already showed. And I find that the starship mode looks a lot better with the wings arranged differently (see my pics on the previous page). As for the size...I don't remember there ever being any indication (or even speculation) that he was going to be anywhere close to Unicron size so I'm not sure where that expectation came from. All in all I like VP better than anything out of Armada or Energon combined. -

To my knowledge, the VB-6 does not have landing gear. There's no lineart for it in the Design Works book, and every single instance of it being on the ground has it in Gerwalk or Battroid mode. Does anyone have any information to the contrary? Yeah, I always just assumed that it switched to gerwalk before landing. -

Just so there's no confusion, Vector Prime is not related to Optimus Prime. He's a seperate character. Actually, I think Vector prime may be the only Japanese TF with 'Prime' in his name... I wonder if he'll keep the name Vector Prime when he comes stateside, or if Hasbro will give him a different name to avoid any Optimus Prime confusion...maybe they'll name him "Vector". -

And in closing, just to get all of the upcoming comments out of the way, yes, he's ugly, fugly, pug-fugly, gawdy, garishly painted, cheap fisher price looking crap, not as nice looking as a Alternator, not as cool as a Binaltech, stupid non-realistic alt mode, POS, horrible waste of plastic.... He's also beautiful, wicked-cool, fun as hell, wonderfully designed and the best mainline TF to come down the pipe in a long time. He's whatever the individual beholder sees in him, just like pretty much everything. Enjoy! (or not). -
