I think Fuu's boobies are somewhat unexpected, so I'll expect to see them before the series is over.

Damn, and I thought I was paying too much for the Soundwave reissue when it was $50! I'm glad I got one back then, too. -

Well, there's the famous Hello Kitty dildo, so there might as well be a Hello Kitty Monster. -
Well, I'm one of those freaks that loves to play with and pose my toys, so because of that my displays are constantly getting re-arranged and fiddled with.

My favorite part was during the end credits with Prime tapping his toes to the hoe-down music. The rest of it was pretty annoying. Nice design for Prime, though.

It wouldn't be so bad being Minmay's underwear...three weeks out of the month anyway.

Just so your title of "crap hammerer" isn't taken the wrong way.... ...you know, in a buggering sort of way. Staying on topic, I'm still holding on to the thin fantasy that some other company will start producing great Macross toys. Yes, it's a wish in the wind, but I'm not ready to give up yet.

why not get the hasbro one. its cheaper. Many people prefer the Superlink version because it's got more paint applications. -

have you tried taking the arm apart and then connecting the piece? thats really the only way i can think of to get the pegs into the holes in the hinge piece properly. yeah its annoying but taking the arm apart isn't that difficult. remove the 1 screw in the "bicep", pull the arm off, remove the 6 black screws and thats about it. and don't worry, there aren't any pieces floating around in there. and i agree, why tease us with a gimmick to begin with? if they had just glued it down completely, none of us would've even known it was there....afterall, ignorance is bliss. I might give that a try, although I hope the hinge isn't broken or bent inside there (it's crooked). Even with that fixed, the floppy leg thing ultimately spoils it for me. If they were just a little more secure it wouldn't be so bad. -

My last problem is the dreaded leg clips. Backwards or not, they work like complete ass. No matter how I position the legs/wings in shuttle mode, they just BARELY stay held on by the clips, and any barrel roll or banking causes them to fall right off. Overall I guess I like it, but I can't say I'm thrilled with it. It looks cool, I'll give it that, but it's just not as sturdy as it should be for a toy this big. I don't like being afraid to play with or even transform a toy that looks so damn cool, and the legs/wings being all floppy and not locked in place is the biggest stinker for me. What sucks is that if it weren't for those problems I'd totally want to keep it, but because of them I'd almost rather sell it, or at least trade it for Yamato's OTHER big green robot that isn't plagued with problems, the Scopedog. Why couldn't they give this one the same amount of care as that? -

Second, one of those stupid missle bay doors isn't even attached on mine. Some people mentioned theirs were glued down, well mine doesn't have a speck of glue and the door/missle pod fell right off as soon as I took the thing out of the package. The hinge where the pod is supposed to attach is crooked, and I can't get it straight. I also can't get the pod to connect in any way that keeps it on. I'll probably just glue it in place. The other pod moves out enough to see that there isn't any glue, but I might just glue that one down, too, just to keep it from ever getting pulled off. It seems absolutely ridiculous to me that Yamato couldn't find a way to make the missle pods work, or at least remove the feature entirely. It really stinks of 'half-assed'. -

I got mine. I don't see any of the infamous stress marks after transforming it to battroid, but I do have other problems that I haven't seen mentioned yet.... First, on one of the gun barrels there is a scratch/cut all the way around, like it was done by a machine or a precision device. It looks pretty crap and is the most noticeable flaw so far. -
If I could afford that thing I would snap it up faster than a Sarlaac can slurp up a bitch-screaming bounty hunter.

With the 20th anniversary celebration planned for the Transformers movie in 2006, MP-03 will be Hot Rod with Rodimus Prime conversion parts/accessories. Expect a Japanese release in Dec 2005 and an US release in Feb/Mar 2006. The sculpt and transformation is much more faithful to the movie than the vintage release, but will follow Dreamwave's preliminary line art. MP-03 Hot Rod will be constructed from diecast metal and plastic parts, feature a full range of articulated joints and remain in scale with MP-1 Optimus Prime/Convoy, meaning it is slightly larger than the 1/24 Binaltech/Alternators line. Retail will be around 8,500 Yen for the Japanese release and 60 dollars for the US release. In vehicle mode, MP-03 Hot Rod features an opening canopy/windshield, rubber tires, and steering capability ala Binaltech/Alternators. In robot form, Hot Rod features articulated fingers and a super-poseable range of articulation. As seen in the TF movie, MP-03 Hot Rod includes interchangeable tool/weapon hands, a removable visor and his classic dual pistols. It will not include the Matrix as one is already included with MP-1 Optimus Prime. Also included will be interchangeable conversion parts that allow you to transform MP-03 Hot Rod into Rodimus Prime. This includes head/chest swaps and the trailer. The Japanese packaging inserts will include photos of all Hot Rod/Rodimus toys produced by Takara/Hasbro, pictures from the movie and a detailed history of Transformers inclusive of the series, movie and beyond. Only in my imagination...for now. Grrrrrrrrrr! You are an evil, evil man. Beautiful imagination though! Send that stuff to Takara! -
Tell me about it! I can't believe the time is almost upon us. Life is so much better when there's new Champloo.

I remember hearing that, and although I don't really believe it, I've been keeping my fingers crossed ever since. -
Personally I like Medicom's Stylish Collection 12" figures better. I've got their Spike Spiegel figure (2nd version) which is really nice, and I've got their Lupin III figure which is pretty kick ass, too. They were both around $100. I've actually got the Lupin III figure for sale over in the "For Sale" part of the forum...

Meh, it's just more cardboard. Yes, it's better than nothing, but it's still cardboard, and I'm still not finding a reason to buy a repainted MPC Prime. -
Unfortunately it's the last thing Besson has done that I've liked at all. Joan of Arc was sort of a 'meh' (Milla alone kept my interest) and the various projects he's been invloved with as producer and whatnot haven't been very good (the Transporter). I'm hoping that Arthur and the Minimoys http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0344854/, his latest film, will be good, although it's still a long ways off (2006)

Ditto. ANY scale is fine by me. I've been wanting realistic TF for so long that the idea of demanding a specific scale seems silly, especially since there is not currently and has never been a standard scale in the entire history of the TF line.
