And, most importantly, King Exkaiser. Soundwave is looking really fantastic. I'm so happy that they are remaining as close to the original as possible, color scheme and all. Lazerbeak (Killer Condor??) looks really good too, and I like how he's being called a Hexigon, although Hexicon would have been cooler. The only thing I hope is that Soundwave's shield is removable, but even if it's not I'll love him like he was my own son. Also I hope there are more Hexigons for Soundwave, including ones that turn into little red and blue humanoid bots (even if they aren't called Rumble and Frenzy).

haha, don't pick on his 'Winnebago Mode'... even robots go camping sometimes! Seriously though, did they really think that a campervan mode would be a cool thing? 322648 I still like to think of it as a space tractor with an intergalactic hay-bailer.

Xabungle is really an amazing thing. It's not often that something with such a wicked-dorky looking alt mode can turn into such a wicked-cool bot. I love it!

Hmm...that sounds pretty crappy. I guess I'll just keep an eye out for a cheap and possibly used Bandai. BTW, I'd love to see one of these turned into a Jetfire, too.

I'm in the market for a "fire" valkyrie from M7 and I've been seeing a few different versions on Ebay. I know which is the official Bandai versions, but I don't know anything about the others. I'm assuming they are knock-offs/bootlegs of the Bandai VF-19. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they decent enough quality for the price? Ebay Auction 1 Ebay Auction 2 Of course I'd prefer the Bandai release, but I'm not sure if I'll like the toy enough to warrant the price.

I just got blue Binaltech Prowl from BBTS yesterday and I think he's one of the best Bin/Alts so far. Parts of him do seem to be made with a more brittle and cheap plastic, such as the mirrors, head and arms. It's unfortunate, but it doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the figure. And unlike Grimlock, the diecast content seems to have gone back to normal. The transformation is very slick and probably the easiest so far. I did pop an arm off trying to flip it around but that wasn't a fault of the toy. I'd rather something popped off than broke. A lot of people seem to like his legs transformed with the rear windows facing the front, but I prefer the original way. And even though no pictures seem to show it, you can wrap his rear bumper pieces around to cover his knees, just like that one bio drawing shows. If the Alternators Prowl ends up having higher quality plastic for the head and arms I might buy one and do a little swap. BTW, does anyone know if the blue version of Prowl is going to be released in the US?

You know I heard that along with dissolving Takara, Tomy is going to literally dissolve all Transformers toys and merchandise in a giant Wonka-like vat of acid. Not only that, but trannies are going to be mailed special "golden tickets" to come to Japan with their TF toys and be dissolved as well. 319005 Oh, so now you're telling me that they've joined forces with Harmony Gold? 319021 Hey now, don't give them any ideas!

Hey, that's why his name is Astrotrain and not just Train. He's a super-sci-fi freaky-deaky morphin' magic space train! Laws of physics don't apply!

Well, since this thread has already been dug up, lets at least talk about something interesting. Say, who here likes olives? I could really go for some olives right now. Mmmm...olives.
-
You're right, they don't sell them. But the dude who started Shokini's was giving away free samples (notice that my previous post said "free") through the Figures.com forum back before the figures went to market. As for giving my Shockini to someone who likes them, do you want it? I can even have my cats customize it for you.
-
Wow, way to dig up a thread that's over a year old just so you can bitch about something that everyone who posted about it has probably already forgotten about. Kudos, sir, kudos. Oh, and to keep it on topic, I got one of those free Shokinis from Figures.com and I can't think of a single thing I like about it. The whole design aesthetic is just really unappealing and wonky. Whatever floats yr boat, though. Wow first off why is the crappy stikfas topic on a MegaBlocks forum they aren't even block figures. Second Shockinis I own as well as like 300 members of their elite fan group that is growing each day and they are no rip-offs. The guy who made them made them before he knew what a Stinkfa was. And unlike Stinkfas they give you a free shockini after 20 posts after becoming a member of their fangroup.....Let's see stinkfas beat that! I love Shockinis they are great. I think Scud is the same Scud who used to be a Shockini fan and crossed over to stinkfas and is trying to impress their boss by making bad remarks about their competition. Let's let the people decide for themselves shall we I don't think you own their minds! 316163

Tim Burton's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
eriku replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought it was fantastic, althugh I will admit that the Oompa Loompa songs were alost too over-the-top for me. Depp's Wonka was creepy and funny as hell, and I thought it was great that he came off as a child himself. I think there's plenty of room on the world for BOTH Wonka movies. -
Wasn't there some news a couple months back about how Futurama might make a brief comeback as a full-length film or something to that effect? Or did I dream it? I certainly hope it's true, I miss Fry, Bender, Zoidberg and the gang. Quoted for truth. There was actually a Simpsons episode that attempted the patented Family Guy type cutaway flashbacks, and while it did make me laugh it felt really out of place and was actually a little distracting. I think it was the only time they attempted that style of humor, and I'm glad for it. Now pardon me while I shed a tear for the late, lamented Futurama. 314809

Goddamn, I have to stay away from the boards more often! First I come back after the boards were down and see Rohby's amazing JM valk, and now I come back from vacation and see there is a freakin' 1/60 VF-0 on the way! What's next? I'm looking forward to following the progress of this beauty. If it's done like the 1/48s we should all (er, most of us) be very happy indeed!
-
I wonder if those come with two figures, one for standing and one for sitting behind the wheel. They certainly don't look articulated enough to do both.
-
Actually I'm really happy they're making the blue Prowl. I don't like the fist version. F--- da police.
-
I'm very sad to see that there is still a lack of WST figures...I was really hoping we'd at least get the Tracks, Skids and Megatron parts that were shown over a year ago.
-
What, no gestalt with Han, Chewie and Lando forming the Millenium Falcon? R2-D2 transforming into the escape pod from A New Hope seems like a no-brainer.
-
I'm very glad to hear Sideshow got the SW license for 12" figures. I've alwasy thought Sideshow would do a great job with them. Maybe not as fantastic as Medicom, but much better than Hasbro.

Heh, I checked about every two hours, too. I can't really think of another site that would leave me feeling so empty in it's absence. Except maybe this one... Oh wait, that's the site who's presence gives me an empty feeling.

Sweet tap-dancing Buddha, I must have one! Excellent, excellent, farking excellent work, Rohby! And here I was thinking that there wouldn't be any more Macross toys/kits to get me excited. Wow. It's like the SD Valk I've always dreamed of.

Ditto. I'm surprised they haven't made one yet. My main SOC dream came true already: Tetsujin 28. Although the EVA-01 is one of my favorite all-time toys, I think I like SOC Fatty just a wee bit better. I'd like to see Black Ox made, but even more so I'd like to see a SOC Monster, which is basically just a tin can with wirey arms and legs.
