  1. Does anyone know of any online stores that are still selling the Takara (Microman) 1/18 Scopedog with Chirico? Or if there is going to be another run of the toy? I snoozed and lost on this one when it came out.
  2. It's $39.99 and they had tons of them on an endcap, so I would guess they'd be around a while. Actually there were so many it made me wonder if they'll eventually get clearanced, but I didn't want to wait.
  3. I picked up the Master Replicas set from Target tonight. $40 seems a little high, but it's a fantastic replica. The box looks nice and holds the weapons securely. The detailing and paint on the sword and shield is top-notch, and they are solid metal so they're really heavy, especially the shield. They just have a nice overall 'quality' feel to them. Now someone needs to make a 1/6 scale Link to wield them! The soundtrack CD is nice but only has six short tracks. I think it's only a sample disc.
  4. I can't think of many things in this world I would want more than a MP version of Soundwave, with Lazerbeak, Ravage and Rumble(or Frenzy).
  5. Glad you got those sockets, they really are a lot better. I wonder if the fastpacks will still be released. I don't have a lot of hope for this line, especially since I have yet to see them in any kind of store. It would only make sense that after letting us down with so many of their toys, Toynami finally makes a good one and then lets us down by not continuing with the line.
  6. Here's a good pic of the gun he comes with (courtesy of Actoys). It also splits in half and can be wielded as two guns.[attachmentid=38551]
  7. I agree about the missles. It would have been nice to have retractable guns or even just black projectiles. At least they're removable! As for the rifle, did yours not come with the gun that splits in half? It may not look as nice as a Valk's gunpod but I thought it looked like it came straight out of the G1 toy line, especially since it's black. I wouldn't have been surprised if Hasbro made it red or white since they rarely make black guns anymore. Classics Jetfire is easily my favorite mainline TF toy in many years. It's easy to pick him apart when compared to a Valkyrie, but that's just not fair since nothing compares to a valkyrie. Compared to other TFs or transforming toys in general, he's simply great. There's no garish colors, no wonky proportions in bot mode, no kibble. And the transformation, while simple, is actually really fun and offers some new twists to the overdone plane-to-robot design. I just might get a second one to paint up in a Skull 01 scheme....
  8. digipaint by kylash327 from the TFW2005 boards[attachmentid=38381]
  9. Way to live up the the MW stereotype guys. I'm sure for someone whos isn't seriously into Macross the new Jetfire would fit in fine. I'm really looking forward to getting mine, but not because I want to add it to my Macross ranks. There's no way it'll have the elegant and sexay quality of recent Yamato valks. Although with the artiulation I'm pretty sure it could kick the Chunky Monkey's ass in a breakdancing match.
  10. Megs is lookng good so far. I'm holding any criticism for images of him further along in production. Back to the orange tip thing.... What does an orange tip on a gun really prove? Couldn't someone put an orange tip on a REAL gun if they wanted to? I suppose it's just there to make the idiotic masses in this country (USA) feel better.
  11. No kidding. Reissue and original Megs get bought and sold every single day and nobody seems to have problems. And what about Airsoft rifles? Legalities aside, I know a lot of people import those things from Japan. A friend of mine just imported an AK47 Airsoft rifle to complete his Halloween costume and he had no problems. If Takara is concerned in the least they can just package Megs in bot mode.
  12. I really don't think that he gun mode of Megs is going to be as recockulously oversized as people are imagining it to be. If it's larger than a real life P38, yet still sized to fit comfortably into an adult's hand, what's wrong with that? That would be absolutely NO different than the G1 Megs toy which is an undersized version of a P38. Well, it would be different, it would be BETTER. I'm excited to see the pics.
  13. Wow....I didn't realize the line has been around that long. That's about a year or two before I really started collecting toys.
  14. Awesome news! If Megs really is going to be an oversized Walther P-38 I'm going to display him in gun mode with my Lupin III figure riding him...just like the cover of that one L.A. Guns album...
  15. That listing has to be for the limited edition 18k gold version that comes with a wood box, which BBTS has listed for $249. Lightan is cool and all, but that just seems a little too deluxe for the character. But that's coming from someone who couldn't tell 18k gold from a basket of 18 carrots if his life depended on it...
  16. The most recent SOC I purchased was Gold Lightan, who for some weird reason I think is all kinds of cool. It's basically just a heavy gold cube that turns into a nicely articulated robot. That upcoming EVA looks really good. I have a hard time imagining myself buying yet another EVA-01 figure, but dang...it just looks so cool with the removable armor. Grr...
  17. This is one of those toys that I honestly don't care what the price is. This is a piece of art.
  18. Reminds me of a friend of mine. He is SO sure he had a Headmaster Arcee toy as a child that there is no talking to him about it. No amount of facts and internet research can convince him otherwise.
  19. Heh, "Rocklords" was the first thing I thought of when I saw those alt modes. I still have no hope for this film.
  20. I'm just glad SOMEBODY is making a transformable Macross. Hooray!
  21. Picked up Classics Prime today. He's definately the most well thought-out, fun to transform, not to mention best looking Prime, this side of MP Prime. I could do without the arm kibble, but aside from that he's pure love. [attachmentid=37132][attachmentid=37133]
  22. I always hated those Energon combiners. Repainting the same figure for the different limbs is so lame that I can't even enjoy the newer more G-1 paintjobs. I guess that repaint is an indication that there will be no original Classics Davastator, just like the Soundwave reissue is an indicator that there will be no original Classics Soundwave. In a way the Classics line is kind of depressing. For as great as it is, it's kind of like the last hurrah before the TF toyline is dessimated by movie merchandising. Hopefully they'll keep doing classic style figures along with the mollusks from the film.

    Finally

I have even less space than that to display ANY of my toy collections. Fortunately that is changing in a week or so and I'll have an entire room or two to fill with cluttered toy goodness. Nice collection by the way!
  24. I haven't seen these in any stores yet, so I don't even know where people would be getting them if they did want them, aside from online of course.
  25. I got Classics Astrotrain in the mail today! Shuttle and train modes aren't the most realistic, but they're good enough and they both have a distinctive look. Bot mode looks fantastic with great proportions all around. I really love the head sculpt on this guy. He's got all the articulation they could cram into him, too. I wanted to post some pics but I'm in the process of moving and my USB cable is, well, "packed away somewhere". Overall I got a very nostalgic feeling playing with Astrotrain. He's everything I always wished the original was.
