  1. Huh...it's kinda weird considering how none of the characters knew each other at that age. And what's with the Eva01 wearing those clothes? I'm sure it'll be entertaining, but those designs sort of make it seem like it's some other story just borrowing the Evangelion characters. We'll see.
  2. I thought Hasbro's last word was that Classics wasn't permanantly over with and that they may revisit the line in the future? Either way, regardless of what the lines are called, I just want more TF toys that are designed like the Classics are. And if we're lucky they'll release that Classics Cosmos in some other line.
  3. It's on it's way. Got it for $88 from a seller on Amazon. Hopefully it'll arrive by Saturday so I can escape the house to a friends place with my Votoms tin while the fiance is at home making wedding invitations with her friends. That Ality with motorcycle is dang tempting. I'm guessing I'll want it even more after I watch the series.
  4. I'm actually somewhat of a Votoms virgin. I've liked the toys for quite a while but I've never seen any of the animations. I have no idea where to start. What's a good launch pad for everything Votoms?
  5. That Soundwave MP3 Player is a fantastic idea, and one that fans have been tossing around for several years now. It's so cool to see a "dream" figure come to life. Of course 98 percent of me is buying it for the great looking Soundwave sculpt. I can't wait to see it painted. The white version is rather strange, but I suspect they chose to offer that as an option since so many people associate MP3s with iPods. I see no reason why they should be different prices, but whatever. The Optimus Prime iPod docking station is a cool idea, too, and has an awesome new head sculpt. But since I don't have an iPod (and never will), I can't see myself dropping the money for that one.
  6. yeesh...that just looks downright terrible in every respect. Not even the alt mode is appealing. So far the only sure-buys for me from the movie line is the Real Gear stuff.
  7. All movie bashing aside that just looks like a poor Transformer toy. The only thing that's not offensive about that is the colors. Ratchet on the other hand appears to be quite a bit better. I'm not sure yet wether or not I like him enough to buy, but he is so far the best of the movie Transformer toys that we've seen (not counting the gadgetformers which have never been officially associated with the movie). 8. It's still hard for me to believe Zelda is in limited supply for the Cube. Last week Target had it on sale for 39.99 and I even saw it on DeepDiscountDvd for a paltry 29.99, although it is no longer on that site.
  9. Damn, here's another gadgetformer, and the best looking one yet! [attachmentid=39409] http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-297...QcategoryZ753QQ I'd prefer a less vibrant color, but with such a cool looking transformation and bot mode, I can deal.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised at all if a future MP release is Starscream in cartoon colors with the crown and the rest of the silly coronation stuff. I still wouldn't buy one, though.
  11. What's even more scary than Starscreams nasty ugliness is the fact that most Trannys seem to LOVE him. There's about 20 pages of praise over at TFW2005.
  12. Alt Ravage is so boring to me I can't even muster up a negative comment. He's the biggest 'meh' I've ever seen. Classics Mirage is pure hand candy. I initially wasn't going to get him because the pictures didn't sell me on it, but when I read so many good reviews and eventually saw him in the store I had to get one. A couple weeks of 'can't put it down' playing later and he's by far my favorite Classics figure. I even like how he looks with the gun/stabilizer left in place as it sort of evens out the narrow waist. As for those gadgetformers, the phone, game and camera, those are my most anticipated TFs for 2007 so far. I'm eager to get some figures that break the vehicle mold and all three of these look great. One thing I'm going to do immediately if the scale is right is put Titanium Soundwave's head on the video game guy. The proportions and transformation are too similar for him to NOT be Soundwave. And since Titanium Soundwave is as smelly as the giant daiper that he sports, I wont mind butchering him and harvesting his parts.
  13. When they are done with these I want them all put together on a DVD. Can't wait to see what Chun-Li is going to look like in her dry-cleaning garb.
  14. That's a great idea (LAFtoys is fantastic) but their preorder is sold out.
  15. BEST: Scope Dog 1:18 Dual Model Zwei I just got this thing two weeks ago but it is hands down the most pure toy joy I've experienced all year. This thing is one of those toys that keeps giving. WORST: MP Starscream I don't even have one and I know it sucks. Why? That color. And I really don't like the sculpt that much anymore either. I love Starscream, but this toy just doesn't do it for me. Gimee the Classics version any day. TOY CRACK: Waaaaay too many Revoltechs in this category. I like Revoltech just fine, but toy crack they are not. I voted for Fatty because I like Votoms, but in my heart I voted for the mysteriously absent THS G1 Hybrid Convoy. THAT is a perfect example of toy crack. So many people were nominating THS I'm really surprised it didn't make it.
  16. I'm sure the film will be entertaining, but I have not liked the designs for the bots from the very beginning. It has NOTHING to do with them not being "G1" enough. I dislike their designs for the same reasons I disliked General Grevious in Revenge of the Sith and why I constantly wonder what the appeal of Bionicles is. It's just not an aesthetically pleasing look to me. I'm not going to actively campaign against it like a lot of people, I just don't like it. Other people do, it's all a matter of taste. Because of the fact that I dislike the look of the Transformers themselves will probably make it difficult for me to get into the film, but I'll at least give it a shot and check it out in the theater.
  17. Heh, that reminds me of a TV show Peter was watching on Family Guy called, "What?" It starred Sylvester Stallone and Tony Danza mumbling at each other with subtitles.
  18. Either that or some sort of wretched alien Bukkake.
  19. So has anyone had a hard time getting TP for the Cube? I was all worried about limited quantities and thinking it would be hard to find. This evening I got home from work and my fiance holds up this Target bag and proceeds to pull out all these little Xmas doodads and trinkets that she bought for neices and family, thouroughly boring me. Then she reaches in and pulls out TP and I nearly crapped myself. Now to spend the rest of the evening playing it! BTW, she said the Target she got it at had several copies, so is this thing limited or not?
  20. I just know that some secondary company is making a "Wiimote Glove" that you can wear. You can slip the Wii controller into it all safe and secure and not have to worry about being a total asshat who thinks summoning the power of ten tornados will help you with your game. Either it's already being made or I just gave someone a million dollar idea.
  21. That's good to hear. I know I can always trust your word on a Yammie. I guess I was having flashbacks to the first Yf-19, which was so loose that it kind of spoiled the toy for me.
  22. Doesn't it seem odd there is no locking mechanism for the torso? I'm going to have a really hard time ever getting myself to shell out the cash for this bird knowing it'll be all froppy in bot mode. Maybe Yamato will add a torso lock on future runs...
  23. Awesome! Thank you so much for the link. I was tempted to wait for the Spacedog because of the backpack and better hands, but I just don't like the paintjob on it nearly as much as the Scopdog. Too dull and monotone. Looks like my Xmas gift to myself this year will be the 1/18 Scopedog! (Sorry Yf-19 )
