  1. Thank you, sir! *adds M+ to never-ending list of to-buy DVDs*
  2. Wasn't it the actual metal bar that was breaking for most people? The part that was broken on the left arm of mine (the one that fell right off), was the plastic area on the shoulder, the 'female' part that holds 'male' arm peg. The plastic around the hole that would normally hold the peg in place was completely crumbled. At first I thought, "NOOO, that's not even the part that I got a replacement for!" but then I realized it's part of the whole shoulder assembly. My only problem now is finding the time to perform surgery on this guy so i can actually play with him. He looks very sad the way I have him posed right now, staring down at his detached arm.
  3. So there are added scenes in the M+ movie? I always thought it was just an edited/shortened version of the 4-episode OVA so I never watched it. I should pay more attention.
  4. So a spring release, then? Ah, spring, the ice is melting, the breeze carries a flower-scented balmyness, love is in the air, and beautiful blue Yammies are in bloom. Wow, that sounds so inappropriate for the 21.
  5. I got my Garland today and BOTH shoulders are broken. The right arm was broken so bad right out of the box that it just fell off, and the other one isn't broken in the typical area but has a piece broken off and missing from the side. It's a good thing Yamato sent me replacement parts for both shoulders!
  6. Luckily with CMs it's justified by quality.
  7. Heh, my own joke gets me in trouble! I was giving voice to the average movie-going public, thus the quotes. I'm quite familiar with Kerouac, Ginsberg, etc.
  8. LOL, "Beat generation? You mean like Run DMC and all those 80's rappers?" Hell, the modern movie going public probably wouldn't even know Run DMC. I'm guessing the next gross-out swarm will be snakes again. Bring it all full-circle.
  9. I agree to an extent, but it's still easier for me to watch than Temple of Doom with that shitty b!itch screaming at EVERYTHING through the whole movie. Here's Temple of Doom in a nutshell: "Doktah Jone!" "AHHHHH!" "Doktah Jone!" "EEEEEEEK!!" "Doktah Jone!" "BWAAHHHH!!" "Doktah Jone!" "EEEEEEEE!!!!" End Credits
  10. I was referring to back before Kenner was absorbed by Hasbro. I never knew Hasbro sent replacement TFs, that's good to know. Would they just send a whole new toy?
  11. Thanks for the link. Ace keeps his astronaut helmet I see, cool! And I like how Aryan the Crimson Guard looks. Seems kind of fitting. Glad they're making the twins but I've never been a fan of them. Even as a kid I thought they were wankers.
  12. Watched it last night and I actually quite enjoyed it. For some reason it gave me a "cartoon from the 80's" vibe. Not the look, obviously, but it seemed to have a little bit of spirit that most new cartoons lack. I look forward to downloading future episodes (I don't have cable TV). And of course I'm looking forward to the toys. I was checking out the review and pics of Lockdown over at TFW2005 and DANG that guy is tall! Looks really fantastic, too. Very different design aesthetics, but I'm digging it. Not sure if it'll have the long-term appeal that G1 and Classics do, but for now they look like a load of fun.
  13. Same figure broke for me, too. Arm came right off when I tried to move it. Luckily Target had a few of that figure and I was able to exchange it. Toy Biz was still making these at that time, correct?
  14. Yes, so far at 1/18 the CM's is the smallest upcoming Ride Armor toy.
  15. How many of the Jizaitoys Cyclonus customs were made? My jaw drops every time I see that thing. As for the G1 toy, I never owned one but I had a friend with one and I coveted the hell out of it. I've always meant to get one but the price is never right. I second the idea of a WST KO of one, that would be killer. Someone twist Justitoys arm! They need a project after the Dinobots.
  16. Actually I don't think there are many toy companies at all that would send out replacement parts. Yamato is the only one I can recall doing such a thing. I think Hasbro used to several years ago, unless that was Kenner.
  17. Well that obviously indicates two seperate products. Maybe it would be less confusing if I was familiar with even one Beagle release. I've never really heard of them prior to the Ride Armor buzz.
  18. D'oh, you're right. And no, I wouldn't waste my time asking Takara. I like their stuff but I view them more as a faceless corporation that would send an automated response email.
  19. I'm confused as to what Beagle actually is. When I mention Beagle on the ToyBoxDX forum they say that Beagle is MegaHouse. Can anyone clarify that? If that was the case then there are only 3 different Ride Armors coming out. Heh, ONLY 3!
  20. That's great! I'm glad to hear they can send out other parts besides Garland shoulders. I wonder if they'd send me a set of articulated Scopedog hands since the first-edition hands I have keep falling apart.
  21. That pic has been shown here a few times and has been one of the main points of debate against the Megahouse version, but to be fair the thing is tilted. I'm sure it wont drag on the ground when it's completely upright. Doesn't make the rider and bike any more proportional though. And yeah, they don't really have any side-shots, at least not on HLJ. Some companies use that tactic to hide design flaws, although often angled pics are just used because they don't look as static and boring as a straight side-shot or front shot. I just got the Sugoi Granzort figure and I had no idea there were so many gaps when it transforms into a head because all of the online pics were angled enough to hide the gaps. I still plan to get the Megahouse version regardless of dragging underside or disproportionate riders. I want to compare it to the CMs in person!
