Freakin' HOORAY! This is honestly the best news I've heard all year in regards to film. I can't even think of anything snarky to say about it, that's how happy I am!

Really? I saw your link to the Danboard but I didn't see any posts linking to the 5-Danboard combiner.
-
I've done that with HLJ and BBTS both. I have no loyalty.
-
I'm not sure if Amazon is part of the Manga but the Amazon Danboard is a variant of the regular 'clean box' Danboard. And yes, a HLJ variant would be very cool.
-
And you guys thought you were only going to have to buy ONE Danboard figure...think again! http://members9.tsukaeru.net/ty1_toys/sakuhin/DANBOARD.htm

They look really great from what I can see in that photo. Too bad I'm allergic to non-transforming toys of transforming mecha.
-
You're insane if you think we're patient enough to wait 6 months. Although I did wait quite a long time on the YF-19, and ended up getting the bird and the booster for $175...
-
Awesome, I've been waiting for the fastpacks. I was hoping they'd come seperate, but these are so cheap I wont mind buying another valk to get them.
-
Awesome, gotta love the Early Bird. Even though 5% isn't that much for most toys, it does make a noticable difference on something this expensive. Now to start my 21 Fund so I can actually pay for the preorder!
-
I guess I can't imagine what Yamato could do that wouldn't be simple and cheap. All anyone is asking for tape/seals and possibly shrink-wrap. What else is there?
-
This whole idea isn't about the package though, it IS about the product/toy inside. If the seals are unbroken then we would be more certain that the toy inside hadn't been tampered with or returned as a damaged product and resold as new. I couldn't care less about the condition of the box as long as the $200+ toy inside is perfect. And I'm not sure where they Toynami references are coming from because they don't really have tamper-proof seals either. From what I remember of the MPCs I used to have it would have been very easy to remove the toys and put them back in the box without any indication that it had been done. Sure, they have snazzy boxes, but that's not what we're talking about.

"Demolishing", that's so dramatic it made me giggle. People can criticize something and STILL like it. I criticize the crap out of Leopaldon but he's still one of my favorite SOC toys.
-
Does Konami make those Bouso Shinki figures? This new Yoko's sculpt really reminds me of those. And that naked, boobless pictures is really creepy.
-
Hell, even "Cybertronian jet" is a stretch for that new Megatron's alt mode. I'm not hating on the toy, and I'll most likely get it for bot mode alone, but I may have to find a 'fan mode' for him.
-
The new Yoko figure looks nice, unless screws bother you. Now I must decided weather to get one or to wait for the inevitable Revoltech Yoko... http://silencer82.blog99.fc2.com/blog-entry-143.html

I want a Classics Cosmos for the same reason.
-
Yeah, but Toynami's poor product has nothing to do with weather or not their packages are sealed. I don't think anyone is saying that sealed boxes will mean issue-free toys, just that it's a guarantee of sorts that we're not getting an item that was removed, messed with, returned to the box and sold as factory-fresh. It seems like complete madness to me why anyone WOULDN'T want the boxes taped or sealed, what harm would it do? It's an extremely cheap and simple measure that would lend a lot more credibility to these expensive toys. As long as they don't take it too far and start securing the toys with twisty-ties...
-
Now that I think of it, it's possible the Garland I just got with a completely exploded shoulder joint could have been a damaged and returned item. I know shoulder breakage has been a common problem, but the way the plastic was broken it almost looked like someone grabbed the arm and pulled upward on it really hard. I would have no way of knowing since the box isn't sealed. The tray is taped, but it's a lot less noticable to remove/replace tape on a plastic tray. Anyway, yeah, I vote for tape. I agree with what previous posters said, Yamato should have thier OWN tape and not just clear tape. For a collectable that's $200+ we should be assured that it's not been tampered with. How about some nice hologram sticker seals?
-
....what the hell does he turn into? It doesn't really look like a vehicle or a weapon, or anything. Bot mode looks cool, although the clear bits are kind of a turn-off. Wow, after all these years there has yet to be a single Megatron from any series that I like in both modes.
-
Awesome, I will definitely pick this up soon, maybe a 'tax return' toy. I have to admit that I wasn't too keen on the design of this character at first but the more I look at pictures of the SOC toy the more I appreciate it. Hopefully they'll correct the paint issues they seem to be having with this. I've read a few reports on poor paint QC now. Someone over at TFW2005 got one with a big blob of white paint on the head of one of the bots and a paint thumb-print right on the face of another.

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
eriku replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It was confirmed somewhere in this thread that the brown Military version has all the fixes and is solid all-around. Nobody has really said much about the Factory version yet (I want pics, dangit!).- 1056 replies

Thanks for the info. I was probably thinking of the VF-17 that doesn't need Fastpacks for space but can still equip them if it needs to.
-
I remember reading that the 21 doesn't need the booster to fold, but it was made to accomodate one if the need arose. Why did the 21 need the booster in the M+ movie?

You might want to register on the TFW2005 forums and try to get one through a member there. There is a whole thread devoted to helping people get one, and most people don't charge anything on top of shipping fees, although some poeople are asking for gas money. It was working well for a while but to be honest I haven't checked in on the thread for a couple weeks. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.p...698&page=75 There is a member that goes by "bullgates" that lives in the same state as me, he still had 10 of them as of a week or so ago. Originally they were for local fans, but I think he was having a hard time getting rid of them so maybe ask him? Good luck!

Alright, I'm sold. I've been trying to ignore Baikanfu but it sounds like so much fun. What's another couple hundred dollars?
