  1. Actually in their ongoing effort to drive us insane, Yamato is going to release the M+ valks in 1/48 next.
  2. For as beautiful as the 1/48s are, the 1/60 looks even more beautiful. This is going to be a awesome year for Macross! I'd like to know more about why the vintage toys are pictured. Is it just the typical "here's the old toys" retrospective sort of thing?
  3. I'd like to know what's up with that as well. And are those SDF-1 feet I see there, too?
  4. Holy crap, my drill set doesn't even have that many bits! I hope this guys turns out to be worth the money. There's no way I'll get one until I've read some reviews though.
  5. Godmarz is going to be pure sweetnes. Is there an official month of release yet? I'm guessing February.
  6. I thought it was terrible on the parts where it just looked like sillhouettes of people moving around (the orcs I think?), but I liked the rest. Although to be fair it was 12 years ago when I saw it last. And I was high.
  7. I will give return of the King credit for a making an effort to tie up the incomplete truncation of the Lord of the Rings cartoon, even if the animation style was completely different. I still wish Lord of the Rings had been finished, I really liked the style. Except for Aragorn's lack of pants.
  8. I'm not doubting that it's a model, but does it say that it is somewhere on that pic? Seeing as how Kotobukiya also makes toys, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a ready-to-go figure. If it really is a model, bleh, I'll keep dreaming of a SOC version.
  9. I know it's not the most anticipated Revoltech figure for most people, but I'm very happy that HLJ sent me a 'shipping' email for Fraulien Rei. Hooray! Or is that "hoorei!"?
  10. Oh my....and under 4000 yen to boot! I wonder if this is part of their SUGOI line, which I think currently only holds Granzort. Still not as exciting or drool-worthy as a SOC release, but better than what is currently available.
  11. Oh wow, for some reason I thought you had a DMZ already. Glad you like it! They're my favorite between DMZ and the Yamatos, but I love the Yamato's, too. Their "OMG that thing is huge!" factor alone makes them worth having.
  12. I'd actually prefer it if PJ directed The Hobbit (Say what you will about his style but I have almost zero complaints about the LOTR Trilogy), but if he wont or can't do it I'd love to see Guillermo del Toro tackle it. He knows how to mix whimsy, fantasy and pure sick terror which the Hobbit would require. No way in hell I'd want Sam Raimi to get his hands on it. Nothing against the guy, I like his films, but I don't think he has the imagination for the Hobbit. In the fantasy world of my drug-addled mind I'd REALLY love to see what Jean-Pierre Jeunet would do with the Hobbit, but A: He'll probably be wrapped up with Life of Pi for infinity, and B: He never wants to do another Hollywood/American movie after the whole Alien Ressurection debacle.
  13. It was certainly better than the Return of the King cartoon. "Frodo of the nine fingers, and the ring of DOOOOOOOM!" Yeesh.
  14. Lemmiwinks will save this thread! That reminds me I need to get the Mr. Slave figure just so I can get the little Lemmiwinks that comes with him.
  15. Can't we all just sit down on the grassy hill, smoke some pipeweed and watch Gandalf's famous fireworks?
  16. Considering I'd MUCH rather watch a series from my couch rather than my office chair, I'll probably watch the first couple episodes streaming online and then just wait patiently for the DVDs. And besides, I like to own stuff.
  17. Thanks for the clarification. I'll probably still just buy a valk w/fastpacks set since all I currently have is a first wave Roy 1S. There really isn't anything wrong with it other than slightly loose joints, but I wouldn't mind having a replacement. And yeah, a 1D would be really great. Honestly though I'm waiting for them to get past the valks and into enemy mech and Mospeada terrirory.
  18. Got a YF-19 with booster on the way that should arrive just in time to wrap and slip under the tree.
  19. Bah, I'll just wait for the Revoltech Yoko I guess.
  20. Does anything even happen in between the Hobbit and Fellowship? I can't imagine an entire 2 or 3 hour film of Bilbo sitting around Bag End stroking his Precious.
  21. I'm sure it's just a confusion of terms. I remember Peter Jackson saying long ago that in order to do the Hobbit justice it would need to be three or at least two films. So it'll most likely be The Hobbit Part 1 and Part 2.
