Gah! Someone actually WANTS that Platypus conversion??? That has to be one of the UGLIEST conversions ever done to a VF-1

I personally wouldn't pay more than $400 for one, $600+ is simply outrageous. Oh well, there's a sucker born every minute and if they can get that much, good for them I suppose.

*reads the article* why oh WHY do I get the feeling they're gonna do one game centered around each character? They talk about this FFVII compilation project, I have to wonder how else they can screw something up so bad... but it looks like the sky is the limit....

Most of the older FF fans (like myself) who thought VII was total bunk probably won't be surprised by this. But then, Final Fantasy PERIOD has not felt the same for me since #6. It just goes to show that 3D isn't always better. Effect, FFVII's problem stems from a poorly scripted ending, hence the other questions. Some have tried to say that those questions are "supposed" to go unanswered, while others have demanded closure since the day it was released. I was rather pissed that I spent 80+ hours of my life doing everything the game had to offer only to get a really shitty ending. Oh well, maybe SOMEONE will enjoy this... I, for one, would rather they get on with a whole new project or stop making Final Fantasy all together before they lose even the FFVII-on fans ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: Before anyone would like to jump on me for my poor opinion of FFVII, remember that... its just my opinion. As much as I would love to be a trendsetter in todays world (and if I did, no one would like FFVII at all) I am not. It's just my opinion and Skull Leader is simply blowing his own horn here. Feel free to counter what I've said, but keep me out of it.

What no Ewoks? !!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna play an Ewok, so I can take down AT/STs and squads of crack Empirial Storm Troopers with ease . Graham lol, there were plenty of Ewoks running amok throughout the stage, but I don't think you can play them

errr, the PS2 demo of Battlefront had a large variety of characters to play on both sides. The demo stage is the battle for endor. Rebels can choose to be: -Rebel Foot soldier -Sniper -Vangard Soldier (missile launcher) -Wookie -Pilot -There may have been one that I missed, not sure Empire Forces can be: -Storm Trooper -Sand Trooper (Missile Launcher) -Speeder Bike Trooper (Sniper) -Shock Trooper (I *think* that's what they're called) -Imperial Officer/ AT/ST Pilot That many choices for just the demo mission. They all pretty much have the same movement characteristics, the only difference is in their weaponry and appearance. Any of the characters can pilot any of the vehicles. Speederbikes are fun to drive, but hard as hell to control, and forget trying to shoot someone without coming to a complete stop. AT/ST Walkers Have loads of armor, and just hitting the area AROUND your target will send them flying, but the guns overheat fast and the walkers are uber slow and ponderous. If missile launcher soliders are nearby they'll make your life a living hell (about a 50/50 rate of success around them). I would very much liken it to SOCOM (both of which I've played). With the directional pad you can give instructions to the soldiers around you. You do all of your weapon selecting and shooting with the L and R buttons, with the main buttons having various other functions. Kinda cool because it issues awards at the end of the stage and keeps track of some pretty cool stats (the character you most encountered, etc)

Thanks for that info just what I was trying to say about the age of those 2 squadrons and yes, they were disestablished, (that the word to use?) I used merged as I thought some squadrons were combined ..... I could be wrong about this but definitely, many squadrons were "closed down" Yes Noel, that's the correct word. After the fall of the Berlin Wall and the general end of the Cold war, The united states opted to downgrade the size of the military, unfortunately the VF-84 was one of the many squadrons (Along with the VF-1 Wolfpack, VF-114 Fighting Aardvarks, the VF-33 Starfighters and numerous others) to get "the big ugly axe". Thanks for the colors, Omega Leader! I'm building a 1/72 F-2 now and I'm about to start looking for paint!

That Japanese F-2 JASDF paintscheme YF-19 is AWESOME.... I wish I knew what colors (specifically) he used for that....
