Yeah, VF has the rights of it, this isn't much more than a shell of a F-35. I've seen some other pics of the carrier as it was steaming in to port with this thing on the deck. It definately raised some eyebrows, but anyone with even a little aircraft knowledge will (upon inspection) see it's not real (no engine or ANYTHING)

Talk to me when you get your Master's. I'm still waiting to hear what mythical college you got this master's degree from, along with a name so I can look it up (being a scant semester away from finishing my own, I'm not in the least phased by your claims) Ever since the 32bit console wars happened, I've been pretty firmly in sony's court. It has more to do with game selection (it's really hard to argue the fact that the Sony PS-game library is pretty extensive.. and the back-compatibility of the PS2 was a beautiful thing... once they got the bugs worked out) than anything else... but i've got to be honest, MGREXX... you give sony fans an incredibly bad name. You don't give Xbox credit where it's due (I don't necessarily like the system, but I acknowledge that it's capable of great things and there are awesome games for it), rather you seem content to mutter meaningless rhetoric that does nothing but hoist yourself on your own petard. Mikeszekely and I aren't exactly closest friends, but we've discussed games together (along with JB0) for a LONG time on this board. Given many of the things he's said (in ADDITION to the fact that he works at a gaming store), I'd say he has his finger pretty firmly on the pulse of the gaming world. Maybe not an end-all-be-all authority, but certainly more learned than YOU. MGREXX, do yourself (and us) a favor. PLEASE take the time to review your threads and edit them for stupidity (a tall order, I know).

LOL, you probably would've found it easier if you had never touched ME (I saw the madness around me when ME was released and stuck with Win98 until XP hit the market)

as I've said, I'll believe it when I see it and not a moment sooner. They've jerked everyone around for a very long time on this. I can sincerely hope what they are doing justifies the wait. -
The RT.com exile forgets the 3D0. Those of us (and yes I was one of them) shelled out $700 for the front-loading Panasonic version of the system when they had been quoting a $500 pricetag for almost a solid 6 months before it was released. If you know so damn much about the gaming industry (and every word out of your mouth suggests that you are, at least kissing someone at sony's ass, or at best having their child)... what are you doing here? Go out and make everything right. Or better yet, just give your soul to Agent One so he can tell us how it tastes.

If someone wants one of these kits, but does not have the knowhow or desire to build one, for the price of buying ME a kit also, I will build one for you. If anyone is interested, PM me.

That's because the series is VAPORWARE (and I shall continue to think so until I see a pilot episode)... it'll only be released on this type of media they call YOUR FREAKIN' IMAGINATION..... *sigh* I keep wanting to hope HG actually does something right.. but it's setback after setback... -
Aircraft VS super thread!
Skull Leader replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's not surprising... HIGHLY dissapointing, but not surprising... (damnit, and I WAS going to buy one... forget it now) *edit: I went and looked* VF-103 markings on a Block 70 tomcat!?!?! VF-84 didn't even have their tomcats when these things were in use! (VF-84 had block 95 tomcats) -
also take into effect that his skin no doubt aged horribly after the lava and spending all the time in that suit (no exposure to sunlight, etc). Anyone would appear to age poorly with things like that, so the age seems just about right.

Am I the only one not really bothered by this? I mean, I know I'm not as diehard as some fans, but I guess I always thought it was more important to see the movie for it's value OVERALL than to point out tiny problems (I'm not saying the guys that do are hosers or anything though). -Ian MacDiarmid (or however you spell it) being put in Empire was an excellent move... no one really even cares about the original guy. The dialogue isn't much changed (I think he adds a line or two about Luke being Vader's son). It was well played. -Hayden Christiansen put into RotJ... admittedly it doesn't make much sense (I guess they wanted to portray Anakin as he was last seen before he truly succumbed to the dark side... don't know, don't really care), but I certainly don't think it made RotJ bad... then again, I seem to be the only one that really LIKED RotJ I really enjoy the special editions. I own VHS and DVD-Rs of the original movies (the THX release) to preserve the originals for what they really were, but to be honest, the special editions are all I ever watch anymore. Who cares if you can tell the difference between the puppets and the CG? Whatever happened to watching movies with a little bit of imagination?

LOL! MGREXX, you sure you saw it? are you sure? like really sure? I was expecting something more along the lines of "OMFG! This movie spoiled the game for me! $*!" isn't that, in itself, giving him too much credit?

You need not read the thread if it bothers you.

Luke asks Leai if she remembers her real mother in ROTJ, I believe they were referring to Padme' Does he say "real mother"? I don't remember that. As far as I know, Leia would have no reason to believe Organa wasn't her real mother. Hey Duke, I don't have RotJ in front of me (packed away atm, while I move), but I believe the line went something to the effect of: "Leia, do you remember your mother? your REAL mother?"

I beta-ed UO from the get-go (I was there the day the guy actually killed "Lord British"), but I quit after playing the production version for about a year (which was long before most of the bugs got worked out). Played FFXI for about a year, and I may get back into it again... but I think I'm looking for some new blood to spend money on

SMT Monster... good things come to those who wait
Skull Leader replied to Less than Super Ostrich's topic in Model kits
the VB-6 Transformable bomber variant of the Monster (fully named the VB-6 "Konig Monster") appeared in the "Macross: VF-X2" video game for Playstation. I'm with Ranger though... the HWR is the REAL thing! Heavy artillery doesn't need no stinking transformation -
about the only game I've downloaded to my phone so far is Tetris (I had Splinter Cell for a while, but I think I deleted it). I'm kinda like JB0 on this one. When I game, I don't like to think about millions of people moving around me... too many distractions. About as distracted as I will allow myself to get when I play video games is the pointless banter of my closest friends who may be over and the smell of the double-pepperoni pizza that was just delivered. Consoles... DEFINATELY the way to go

Not sure they much care, actually. They have their money and that's probably all that concerns them.

wow.. for once no pics with the spare jet, lol. Both times I've seen them since they got 18s, they had the two-seater #7 jet in action.

Their "Love" CD kicks ass.... I've got some of their other stuff, but it doesn't seem to do much for me. Jeleinen, thanks for the correction... I've NEVER known the true name of that song...

I'll pretty much listen to anything that doesn't suck (IE Rap and country) Here's a small sample: -Van Halen -Vast (this one's new in my player... they've got good stuff) -Hoobastank ("Same Direction" is a favorite... as is "Crawling in the Dark") -Puddle of Mudd ("Away From Me"... doesn't get much better) -The Who ("Teenage Wasteland" is one of my favs) -Modest Mouse -Rush ("Power Windows" and "Roll the Bones": two of the greatest albums ever written) -Aerosmith -Beethoven (7th and 9th Symphonies are never far from my player) -Videogame Soundtracks (I like so much Castlevania, I just burn my own mixes to take with me now... Final Fantasy, Star Control II, and some others round this off) -Anime Music (Of course I keep a stash of Macross and Gundam music on hand) -Trooper ("Raise a Little Hell" anyone?) -Judas Priest ("Turbo Lover" comes to mind...) -Movie Soundtracks (just about every sort and type) -Elton John ("Your Song"... guaranteed score music) -a recording of AgentOne's mother telling me I'm his daddy I don't dig contemporary christian (hey, leave the worship music to the people who KNOW how to write it... I.E. Bach, Beethoven, Haydin, Handel, etc), and every now and then I'll take a rap song or two, but it's rare. Country is likewise right-out.

wow, I may actually pick one up then! Here's to hoping they do an extra run of FAST Packs to go out with it...

New "Macross Plus" US edition in June
Skull Leader replied to Splash's topic in Movies and TV Series
That's a matter of opinion. With the exception of Yang Newman, I rather thought the MacPlus cast did a pretty good job. -
