It is hard to present in a teaser trailer what one does not have to show Seriously, I think they're still too busy trying to drum up support for this to have much beyond a very basic plot and maybe a scene or two hashed out.

Aircraft VS super thread!
Skull Leader replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
hey Dave, I had talked to Brian Marbrey on the phone for a while about the whole airwing situation and I was having trouble sorting it all out... when VFA-11 is declared "boat safe", they'll be joining up with 103 right? So what will happen with the Dogs? will they stay with AG (thus making it the only airwing with THREE superhornet squadrons) or do you think they'll go elsewhere? Brian and I both agreed that things would probably be in a serious state of flux until all the superhornet transitions were complete. Thoughts? (VFA-111? is this a typo?) Also, it's worthy of note that apparently neither VFA-11 or 103 care to have anything to do with 143... evidently some serious squadron rivalry there. Brian was telling me that within the week that 143 had moved into the hangars next to 103 they had already stolen ENS Ernie once and had zapped a couple of their planes. 103 was unamused. -

yeah, according to the compendium, the VF-14 and VA-14 ARE two different machines, just very similar. It's never specified... but I've long had a suspicion that the VA-14 was really more of a testbed for the larger engines that would soon become the standard in fighters like the VF-19 and 22. -

Oh god... not again... hasn't Adult Swim gone far enough down the crapper? LOL

first of all... we already have a thread devoted to toynami products (all of them) in the OTHER anime forum (Robotech is NOT macross, hence why the thread resides in the OTHER forum). Second of all, WHY would you want to try to mate a tread fighter to a valkyrie in 1/55 scale OR 1/48??? they're not part of the same series! To it it in the modern terms you youngsters online seem to use so much: "OMFG si teh ghey LOL!!!111!"
-
those were just free-swinging pylons though, they were never designed (in the kit) to swing in tandem with the wings.

Harmony Gold is probably pretty much financially on the rocks. From the sound of things, they're really throwing everything they have into this new series (which, consequently isn't much). Given all that, they probably feel that they have every excuse to milk their beloved cash cow yet one more time. A new english dub? If it will rake in the money so they can keep playing in their little retard sandbox for a little longer, so be it. I don't know if I'd buy it or not. I guess it's kind of up in the air for me. -

Project Phoenix and I played this game for a while. It's a pretty interesting game, but controlling your ship while getting any degree of accuracy out of your guns is REALLY f-ing hard. There is an auto-aim function that will automatically point your guns in the right direction and angle, but they get reduced accuracy (I guess they see it as a kind of unfair handicap). The variety of WWII vessels represented there is good (pretty much every ship ever made during WWII) and after your initial "training" levels, you can declare for the US, British, German, or Japanese navys (thus giving you exclusive access to their ships). I made it all the way to light cruisers before I had decided that I'd had enough. A serious souring point for me though was the amount of torpedoes you could spread out from a larger ship (5-6 torp spreads in a single volley). kind of a cheap way to land a kill to me. -
esta muy bien!! mas, mas! You know, I'd pay good money to have that first poster blown up to production size to hang on my wall...

and their GE engines look like total ass... still, one of our local hobby shops carries the vast majority of the DW run, and they've promised to get some of the VF-103 birds, so I'll likely pick one up (because that's just the kind of person I am, lol) LOL, I almost wish David HADN'T tought me the differences between an F-14A and an F-14B... I could live happily in ignorance! -

Man, you should see people going after each other about that article over on ARC.. people claiming that if the Mud-hens had been doing anything other than "playing" the EF wouldn't have stood a chance while others are saying the EF beat them fair and square (and someone is even claiming that the two 15 pilots were just too arrogant and underestimated the EF pilot)... what a mess.... -

Here's pics of the other two tomcats on my bench (or on the bench I had before I moved, lol) This first kit is the Revell/Monogram F-14A. I originally had intentions to build it as a TARPS jet (you can see the Hasegawa TARPS pod in the back I intended to use). But since the VF-84 decals I have to use are from the late 70s (before TARPS pods were even invented), I've decided to build it as "Victory 210" from "The Final Countdown". After this pic was taken, I had to go back and re-paint the horizontal stabs (if you watch in the movie, they have gull grey h-stabs). Haven't had much time to work on this one lately This second kit is the Fujimi 1/48 F-14 "Super Tomcat" prototype kit (such that it is). A lot of work was done to add on to this kit and it's far from done. The entire beavertail was shortened (before it stuck out waaay too far), I re-scribed the engine fairings to be correct for GE engines, and I mounted an IR/TCS dual chinpod (out of a revell/monogram kit) to make this kit represent 157986 as it was in the very late 1980s as the F-14A+ prototype(when they first began IR/TCS chinpod testing, but before it was re-classified as the D prototype) It's still got a ways to go before it's finished. -
Its really a damn sturdy piece when one considers all it has to do. It's not that it's cheap or poorly designed, the very laws of physics demand that part BP-8 act as it does when too much force is placed upon it.

Someday Japan will realize that gigantic foot spikes on mecha just isn't cool... -
We're talking ABOUT you, not TO you. Go away. When we want your opinion, we'll give it to you.

Oh, we'd find someone else... it wouldnt' take long to do.

Zentran, I am a police officer also, but it's hard to equate small-time forum politics with real investigative work. Being a fellow law enforcement agent you understand the concept of "probable cause", and as far as I'm concerned we have it here.
-
well, it could be ARGUED that Robotech, in itself, is morally wrong... but that's purely a personal choice.. lol... an HOUR??? I didn't think there was that much to say on the subject...
-
Zentran... common sense alone points to MGREXX. He's the only one the forums have had a serious problem with in a long time. Everyone alpha-strikes on him in one thread and he creates a false name in an attempt to shift the focus. He's tried to tell me a lot of history about himself (in PMs), but not much of it lines up (speech patterns, behavior, etc). I'm firmly convinced it's an adolescent with serious acceptance issues (either that or a VERY poorly developed adult who has not done half the things he's tried to tell me he has). We have every reason in the world to believe it was MGREXX. If he was bad enough to get kicked off of homotech.com, then we CERTAINLY don't need him here.

Neid, just for clarification, only the Jolly Rogers carry "Vegabond" stripes (as symbolized by the small Vs within the stripe). Other squadrons have different names for theirs (I know VF-2s stripes are called "Langley" stripes...). Just thought I'd pass that along. BTW, David... I talked to Darren Roberts (who is good friends with most of the PAOs out at Oceana) and the corrosion control guys at VFA-103 said "screw the regs, when we go to sea, the tailcode is going inside the tailfins, and the Skull/Crossbones will be larger!"... so, a good day for Jolly Roger fans I guess! -

Nobody takes you at your word, and you've been known to post nothing but useless nonsense.... this is why we attack you. Seriously, you talk out one end and you crap out the other, but who can tell which is which?
