Oh really? I'll ask my buddy who's playing PoN to get me a screenshot of "Smithzilla." 344807 ... I was wrong. Just the name of what you implied means they've not only hit rock-bottom, but have now begun to dig their way to China...

In FFXI You leveled from 1 to approx. 60 in three days? You, my man, are an RPG GOD. (played for over a year and only got into the 40s....)

Seriously, it couldn't have gotten any worse, so I don't see that doing a different ending could make things any more retarded than they already are. Honestly? The only direction it could go is "up".

I thought he was perfect for the role of Anderson/Neo. It's just a damn shame that the last two scripts were so full of gayness. Still, I hear that the new PS2 game "Path of Neo" is supposed to have a re-written ending for the whole series (maybe a "happily ever-after" for Neo and Trinity? I don't know)

That's because SWG does not compare to these two. It is a sci-fi MMORPG.

It's strange that you mention this, never once in my character's life (from level 1 to about 42, which is where I stopped) was I forced to ask for handouts. The areas around Bastok (BASTOK REPRESENT!!) were more than full enough for me to make ends meet. Anything beyond that I had no problem picking up on the way. Fighting with parties in the desert, I never once wanted for goblin gear or something to sell, and that was on top of the money we just made from fighting everything else. This was probably because I was part of a party that spent a lot of time fighting high-risk/big-payoff targets... more fun that way anyhow, too damn many people in that game are worried about dying and losing a few XP that could easily be re-earned if they'd quit their whining.

FFXI (which I played for a LONG time and may go back to), and WoW (which I've only played briefly on a friend's PC) are both good games it would seem. They don't set out to do the same things and shouldn't be compared as such.

Robocop remake? Say it ain't So!

About the only place that could be allowed or even be entertaining to watch would be as a celeberty death match. -
Greatness such as Agent one's transcends all gender boundaries. It is eternal.

Tactical minis games (D&D, Warhammer, Axis & Allies, etc.) are the big thing right now. In fact, if they did a Robotech minis game, I'd consider buying into it, depending on how good the sculpts were. 344205 The variable dynamics of a Valkyrie would be difficult to replicate in a tac-mini game, you would potentially need 3 different sliders/dials, or otherwise indicate with modifiers. It seems cool at first (it works well enough for Mechwarrior: Dark Ages), but it would be difficult also because of the high speed at which most Macross combat takes place... especially when you consider that most combat was "one shot, one kill" sort of things.(there were exceptions, but those were reserved for story characters). Wouldn't make for a very interesting game unless several liberties were taken (ALA the Palladium roleplaying game)

Ordinarily I do not lower myself to making blanket stupid statements, but this announcement just begs for one and I'm in a patricularly vindictive mood: People who play a RT CCG are gay fags. Secondly... only available through RT.com and certain hobby outlets? How can the game spread or expect to find enough players if the distribution points are so serverely limited? This is like asking a business to just throw money away. I would not only laugh at players of such a card game, I would probaby steal their lunch money and beat them up. I'd steal their girlfriends and make pr0n with them too, but such characters are likely to have the sexual charisma God gave the average rock and as such, HAVE no girlfriends to steal (or if they did, I wouldn't want to touch them) (LOL, could you imagine cards from "The Super Secret HARMONY GOLD COLLECTOR'S pack"? A super rare card!!! I can see it now: "TONY OLIVER! I CHOOSE YOU!!")

Aircraft VS super thread!
Skull Leader replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
your average CAP has traditionally been two aircraft (a flight lead and a wingman), but it's not a hard concrete rule. For example, Tomcats enforcing the "no-fly zone" over Iraq shortly after the first gulf war typically flew in twos. But when the mission called for a photo-op, a TARPS Tomcat typically went up alone (like the VF-103 TARPS bird that was shot down), relying on USAF aircraft (or other USN flights)in the region for air support. -
Thinking Mario Kart DS may be my next videogame purchase... I dunno, Advance Wars is looking pretty good too. Too many choices and not enough money! Argh!

I've been wondering if DQVIII would be a good time to get back into the series. I played the first 3 and very little beyond that. I keep hearing/reading good things about it, so it may be worth it...

I'm amazed no one has mentioned this one... my favorite scene from Macross II (besides it being over) is when the Macross fires for the first time, clearing the clouds around it

as a small reference to those who may not fully grasp how long it takes to get a fighter running from a cold position, the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds (both of which are pre-flighted extensively before the pilots even step into the plane) Take most of a 5-minute song to get their turbines spooled up before it can produce military power. That's minus weapons checks (which the demo teams obviously don't require) and any flight computer alignments (probably part of the pre-flight routine done by the engineers. I'm guessing things could probably be pushed a little, especially during "no-kidding" combat ops (I'm sure the Blue Angels and the thunderchickens take every kind of precaution they can), but I would still imagine something between 4-8 minutes to get a jet up and running. -
PREDATOR REMAKE, Terrific now my childhood

CROM says: "WORST. MOVIE. IDEA. EVER." .... I mean, take something WITH The Oak and remake it WITHOUT The Oak? For Sale: One large town in Southern California, comes complete with it's own morons -
So, People do it all the time like with ps3, xbx 360, psp, nds, 1:48 valks way before the product came out. 340309 That doesn't make it right or smart... and it certainly doesn't help in an argument.

If I still had my 2600, I'd be playing it. There were plenty of games back then that would still be worth playing now (back when almost every game for the system was a measure of the gamers skill, not a graphics-fest... ... I guess I missed something on the way here... my DS can connect via wireless internet? I knew it could connect with other DS systems within a limited range, but I didn't realize I could, say, take it to the nearest starbucks and fire up some online gaming...

What you saw was probably a "high alpha" pass or some such thing. I couldn't quote a specific speed to you (David probably has more specifics than I do), but some aircraft can go as slow as 30-40 MPH in a high alpha setting sometimes (both kinds of Hornets and a Viper did it at the Oceana airshow, all of them were pretty slow. The tomcats wings don't lend itself to performing this maneuver very well, although it can do it to a lesser degree). I always love listening to them crank open the throttle as they climb out of a high-alpha pass... it goes from pretty quiet to a near chest-rumbling roar, it's awesome. -
given what they've been able to do with the 2D castlevanias on SP and DS, I have no doubt they could release a seriously knockout game in a 2D metroid.

Radd, like you, IV is my favorite. That's a pretty decent explination for how things worked out... it further highlights the fact that while it may have been cool for some to look at (I thought it looked undeveloped), it wound up creating more problems than it solved.
