awesome, if you need anything on my end let me know. (I kind of had a couple thoughts on what schemes would look cool on it) -

rinse and scrubbing using a mild dish soap. letting them soak will only do you good if you have an ultrasonic bath like he does, then the bath does the scrubbing for you. best thing for cleaning parts is to go out and buy something like a crest spinbrush. they're less than 10 bucks, and they're good for getting in to little corners and stuff. -
nice. good to see there's still some love going on for the 1/48's

Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!
anime52k8 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I think saying every single one is stretching it a bit. so far we have these semi-confirmed(mentioned by name on the original poster): VF-0 VF-1 VF-4 VF-19 YF-19 YF-21 VF-27 VF-171 and at the bottom of the poster the show the logo's of the Macross shows that are licenced as part of the product line. SDF:M DYRL? MacII Mac+ Mac7 Mac0 MacF so excluding the frontier stuff, we have no reason to believe that we'll see anything that hasn't been done in some form before with the exception of the VF-4 and some of the Mac II stuff. it's still a pretty slim likelihood that they'll produce some of the cool but obscure valks I really wanna see like the VA-3, the VF-14, and the VF-3000. -

demand for these on the general market effects the availability to chicken farmers. decrease in supply drives up cost to farmers and results in an increase in egg cost to cover Macross goods expenses. basic supply and demand obviously. -
oh yeah... thats kind of in the same lot as the VA-14 though. it's a variant of a fighter thats never actually used in anything. and nothing but a couple of sketches exist for it.

looks like an RPG with a comic tie in. the art looks decent, not great but decent. overall looks fairly genaric, and I don't see what this has to do with Robotech. and whats with the alien Mech pilots being naked?

can we stop bumping this thread unless we have a valid discussion of some kind? how about this... lets talk Attack valks. so far in macross we've seen all of 4 dedicated attack valks. the VA-3, the VA-6 (which is really more of heavy gun platform), VA-14 and the VAB-2 of these only the VA-3 is a full family of valks. the VA-6 is for all we know has only 1 variant, and the VA-14 and VAB-2 are barely referenced in passing and have no form of information associated with them. has the need for land attack capability really decreased that much, or can the existing fighter types really handle the close air support and ground/heavy attack roles.

I remember comment or discussion somewhere that part of why the BCS failed was because Guld was part zentradi. had he been fully human it would have worked better. also a big part of why he was going borderline psychotic was the BDI, sensory overload and too much information for the brain to process at once.

I can't imagine that bandai will suddenly produce something decent after the just craping out the VF-25's. I've already written this one off as crap until it can be shown to be otherwise. -

ugh... even the YF-19 looks better, and I unequivocally hate that YF-19 toy. how sad, at least I'll have the money to buy a VF-1S max in a few months. -
on which valk are you talking about? the intakes of every Yamato valk should have there intake faces further back, but they can't because of the hinges in the legs. but then again I don't know if you're talking about a yamato valk or not.
-
you know what, it's all toynami's fault, and HG... those F**king bastards... (don't ask me how but it is)

both are defiantly resin kits. I like the second one better, the sculpt is nicer overall. and the larger boobs look better, nicer shape to them. if this turns into a PVC figure in the near future, I'm going to be all over it.

absolutely awesome as usual, talos. your line art always turns out so crisp, fine and clean. I wish my digital work would turn out half this good. this is probably way too much to be asking of you, but do you think you could do something like this for the VF-4 I've been working on? if you would that would be the coolest thing ever, and I'd owe you for the rest of forever. -
ugh... I've been trying to do a line art for this last drawing in illustrator... it's going awful... this is what I've got after like 6 hours. how do you do it talos?

blegh, meant to say wet coat as in a heavy coat. as aposed to a mist coat, where you spray it on very lightly. you want to lay it down so that it fully covers, but not to heavy that it starts to pool, run, or fill in details. -
Yamato 1/60 VF-11b under development

because if the nose swivels, you can't have PT. the v1 could do it because the legs come all the way off then get plugged into the nose, and that sucked. actually the part that sucked was that the legs had XBOXHUGE pegs that went into the nose, and you needed a separate piece to fill in the whole (which I kept loosing) if they had the legs connected, and a hatch like on the v.2 I wouldn't mind having removable leg nearly as much. -

5000 yen is about 625 yen per hour for an 8 hour day, and that number can actually go up or down based on industry and prefecture. so it's right in the same around the US minimum wage which is $6.55 per hour. state minimum is that or higher. here in california, it $8 an hour (to bad i can't find a part time job... ) -
It’s really hard to say. My first initial reaction was immediately to go for tits. But as I took the time to mark my choice for the other poles, I began thinking to myself, “self, do you really prefer tits over ass?” because I really do love the ass, in fact if I were to view some erotic material right now I would probably seek out something that focuses on a woman’s well developed posterior region. But does that really mean that I prefer the bottom to the bosom, or could it be that I’m simply in an ass kind of mood. Considering that my first reaction was to say tits, it must mean something that my gut reaction to such a question would be to the say that I prefer the breast. But at the same time, I have a deep seeded love for the female posterior. I couldn’t decide which was better, I turned both options over in my head relentlessly. I just couldn’t make up my mind. Finally at the peak of my indecisiveness I slammed the enter key and cast my vote. And immediately began to doubt my decision. Trying to choose between the bust and the buttocks is like asking a parent to choose between their own children. Both are so beautiful and bring so much joy to life in their own special way how can one really say that they love one over the other? Dante, how could you be so insensitive as to ask such a question and not give us an “both” as an option?!?

all right, another revision. same drawing as last time, but I went and redrew the missiles. I think I like this right here. so what do you all think?

I'm not a fan of HK but still nice gift. (I envy people who don't live in commiefornia ) -
you know what, I was going to wait till tomorrow to post this, but I might as well post it now since I'm looking for some ideas. the VF-400 .v3 I'm thinking that this is the final form for the primary model (I've still got several alternate versions in the works, but this is the main version). it's omitted for detail, but I'm going to be using the wing A from earlier. and I'm leaving the possibility for drop tanks open. I made the beam guns more prominent (I think I'm going to up the boar diameter from 35mm to 58~60mm), but kept the nose as is (any time I try to change it, it starts looking too duck bill like for me.) the main thing I'm still debating is with the missiles. right now I've got them looking like the standard missiles used on the VF-171 (and the VF-0 oddly enough) but with the fins designed to fold in. I'm not sure how I like the look, but can't seem to come up with anything better. also in terms of missile numbers, I think I'm going to drop it down to 10 long range missiles with a maximum of 12. there will be the 2 under the fuselage, 2 above each nacelle, one on the outside in front of the ventral fins on each nacelle, and one on the inside of the nacelle opposite that last two. the optional 2 are the one's right under the wing roots that get replaced by the gunpod. I'd really love some suggestions/ideas in as to what the semi-recessed missiles should look like.

that would be so awesome. it was actually this scheme here that got me thinking about the VF-4 again. it would be extremely cool if you could help me out with the digital coloring Talos, your work is absolutely amazing. I actually haven't until you brought it up, now I'm really thinking about it. wingtip missile rails could sole some of the problems I'm having with the leg mounted missile layout, but right now I'm favoring a wing shape that can't really accommodate wingtip rails. with the rotating wing pilon idea, It sounds interesting but I think that with the wings will be able to retain there stores in battroid mode by just decreasing the amount the wings droop by a little bit. (sort of like how the VF-1 and VF-0 kept there wings folded out when when they had weapons on them) having the wings stick out isn't to big a deal since any weapons on the wings are going to be the first things used up anyways. and with the mixed missile loads, I kind of already have that with the semi-recessed missiles and the micro missiles. the recessed missiles are the AIM-120 equivalents, where as the Micro-missiles are the AIM-9 equivalents. I still want to keep the inner wing engines (I just think they're cool visually, and if SK can fit them there on the old valk, I can fit them on a newer bigger valk) I have been tossing around the idea of center line and inner wing pylons, originally I was going to put the gunpod on a center line belly pilon, but I decided I wanted a location that can be used in all three modes, so it ended up on the leg. I've actually been considering as many as three hard points for propellant. (one on each inner wing, and one centerline) the would have to be punched before the valk could transform though, so they would be strictly for fuel on long range ops in space. I think the one problem I really have, is that every time someone recommends/suggests something, I eminently start running with it. within about 5 minutes of reading your suggestion about the recon set up, I already had a full design in my head. (it would be a new upper nacelle assembly, where the vertical fins are replaced by struts for the radome, and the forearms are redesigned with sensors in place of missiles and smaller beam guns) it's kind of nice though since I keep having new ideas to work on. so feel free to keep suggesting things.
-
I figured it would be heavier because it does have 6 engines, (even if each engine is smaller than the one on the the VF-25.) the VF-27 with it's 4 engines weights in at 12 metric tones, and the original VF-4 (which is much smaller) weights in at aroud 13.5 tones. and I did get quite into coming up with specs for this. I just wanted to throw a couple things together but it kind of spiraled out of control. I've also got a list of various weapon load outs and modified specs for an atmospheric pack which consists of new upper nacelle/shoulder and forearm assemblies. (sketching that one out still) I'm finding the more I work on this the more unusual ideas I get but for the guys working on aria, I do plan on helping out. and don't worry about time, I tend to work fast Anyways I'm hoping to get v. 3 done this weekend. I'm hopeful that this will be the final fighter mode profile schematic, which I'll be able to base everything else off of. (I also need to do a new battroid sketch, then a battroid final) And I wanna know how Mr March does the HQ line art and coloring for his site! his stuff looks so perfect, I don't know how he does it. (March, if you're reading this, Please tell me!!)
