  1. some flight pics:
  2. i don't really find it (lowvis 1) way too cooler than any other valks.. perhaps, it's mainly because of its being "limited" that made us look at it as such.. i used to think the 1J Max and Miriya are really cool looking valks.. but after the reissue, they don't look as good as it was back then.. don't get me wrong, i still love the couple's valk.
  3. My macross version of "evolution of a hero"
  4. indeed.. but surprisingly it kinda locks into that tiny gap between the shoulders and elbow.. so far i none of my valks displayed with that stand fell off as of this posting.. i'm starting to even like it better than the standard display stands..
  5. Jeremy007 and emerson: thanks a lot for the info.. i am still contemplating at getting it, lately i've been up to getting exclusively yamato 1/48 valkyries (really hoping one day i could complete both DRYL and TV Skull squadrons) perhaps this might be the only time that i'll buy a non-yammie valk
  6. Jeremy007: is this the same with the one you're referring: it's actually up for sale by some local collector.. he's selling it for roughly P4,800 or 102USD
  7. bigkid24: depends on whether you would do a 'lil tweaking on the stand to make it hold a valkyries from just about any position.. but the stand (without modification) could already carry any valk.. here's a closer pic of underneath.. it may look kinda riksy.. but so far it's been pretty much stable at carrying my 1/48 VF-1S Roy at a somewhat launching position (roughly 110 degrees). You'll just need to secure and make sure the screws are really tightened.. now here's how the connection looks like in another position.. sorry for the crappy pics.. vermillion01: quite ironic indeed! but perhaps your mate needs further convincing.. nonetheless, those are really neat collectibles!
  8. not exactly the same stand.. but it's from the same maker (bandai) Hohotoys
  9. was in the same dilemma.. ended up getting the YF-19 plus Fold booster.. (after literally tossing a coin!) never had the slightest regret.. but as what others say, you surely can't go wrong either valks and eventually you'll have to get the other one sooner or later
  10. misterryno: those are actually Gundam action base stand my friend... i can't get those cool flexi stands you have (we don't have it here, Toywave doesn't have it either.. i exclusively get my macross from him) while the standard macross stand, i just find a big off to my budget (i'd rather get another valkyrie than spend that much on a stand) so i thought of other replacements.. i remember somebody using the same stand as mine.. here's the very pic that gave me the idea of using them: oh.. please tell your better half "thanks"
  11. thanks mate.. they weren't actually cool about this hobby at first.. but when i laid them down some inclinations if i don't plunge into this (especially my girlfriend) they just outrightly had a change of opinion.. though I made it a point that this is merely just a diversion, it's hard when you don't have your loveones around.. at least it keeps me away from going out that much (go clubbing, plunging into rather distractive activities) that's what i always tell to my girlfriend.. call it blackmailing, but it seems to work out pretty well for me..
  12. other boxes that i just sorted out for next display hopefully... when my 4th display cab will be finished sorry.. i'm kinda messy..
  13. Fourth from top: Street Figther First players, Koto Ryu and Two of my anime girls Now here's another cabinet in my room (these are recent pics though.. i am currently repainting it and put up some lighting) Will try to post better pics.. but here's what's inside: Topmost: 1st Column: Super robots 2nd: All Zoid Liger type 3rd: another Transformers MP-03 and MP-04 Second row: 1st: Yamato Trigun Figure Collection and Suikoden 2nd: another 1/60 Gundams Third row: 1st: My ANIME FEMME stats/figure collection 2nd: Samurai X and Bleach Figures Fourth row: 1st: SOC Robots 2nd: 1/100 Gundams Last: World War/Old School Model Planes and as well as new ones some MOC/MISB Stockpiles: now here's what i did to my sister's room.. left side.. some i already displayed Right side - my pile of boxes for yamato valkyries other macross valkyries in the boxes it's a dream come true to finally be able to collect these valkyries.. as much as i love them, but i'm holding myself from taking them out of their boxes, i seriously deserve they deserve a special display area, and that's what i'm working on right now.. Hopefully when all things are set, i will post an update of my collection with them displayed..
  14. Jeremy007: Great stuff there! I especially love your prime collection! misterryno: They definitely look even better with the flexi stand! I'd like to share my collections too.. Been hooked up to collecting just recently (November of 2006) as my drastic idea of keeping myself "BROKE".. avoid going out and mess up while my girlfriend is staying abroad.. funny, but contrary to most of you here who have this ordeal of having to justify every purchase of such neat toys, my girlfriend and mom kept on encouraging me to buy more stuff.. I am not rich though.. i'm from the Phils ( a third world country if others aren't aware of that ) But i made it a point to buy at least one toy every time i get my salary.. anyway.. so much for talk.. here's "some" of my collectibles: My newly custom cabinet (at our living room) Topmost: Takara Transformers Masterpiece Collection and 1/60 Gundams Second: Transformers Starwars Vehicles (lacking Gen. Grev's and the 3 new releases) Third: G.I. Joe Sigma Six Vehicles
  15. other than those posted by previous members.. i wish they could make some helmet/flight suit replicas (not really at 1:1 scale though)
  16. i'm into the same situation as you are a month ago.. the anxiety and excitement of finally getting hold of them is really too overwhelming.. mine almost took a month before i got it..
  17. now that's how a custom should be.. looking great already!! wish i had your skill... and guts as well
  18. 1/48 - VF-1S Roy (1st release) - VF-1J Max - VF-1J Miriya - VF-1J Hikaru - VF-1J Super Stealth (special boxset) - VF-1A Lowvis ver 2 (3 of them) - VF-1A Max 2nd rel. - VF-1A Hayao - VF-1S Hikaru - VF-1S hayao custom from 1S roy 1/60 - VF-0S Roy - VF-0A Shin with ghostvalk - Ghost Valk - YF-19 (ver 1) - YF-19 Fold booster 1/100 - Koenig Monster
  19. the stealth is my favorite 1/48 Toy as far as looks is concern.. it's the first valk i got when regained my interest over this toy line
  20. @sqidd: i laud at your efforts of shedding some light to people having second thoughts of getting this.. thanks, now i'm more inclined at getting this.. i remember yamato's promo pics of the VF-OS + ghost valk, reveals a stress mark at one of its shoulders.. i hope they were just merely using the first issue OS..
  21. Yamato 1/48 Stealth with super/strike parts.. it never failed to amaze people who dropped by my place, even the oldies..
  22. and the hunt is on..

Major Focker: have you tried wasabi toys? as far as i know, has the most decent prices for their macross items for those who wouldn't wanna buy overseas.. latest addition to their list are VF-1J M and M priced at P9,900.00 (roughly 210USD).. as for revoltechs, cheapest i know was from Best toys selling at P1,000.00 (roughly 21USD). too bad they ran out of stocks.
  24. classics being the first releases generally aren't that much superior to current ones (1/48s) but it's a fact that these current valks were rooted from the former, thus it will always be appreciated especially with the oldies having some sort of sentimental value.. i just plunged into this toy line, but despite getting the chance to hold/play a 1/48 Valkyrie before i started collecting.. i still opted to get the bandai valks first..
