thanks a lot guys.. your feedbacks are really inspiring me to finish this one.. been into this on and off due to busy schedule i specially had a hard time with building those hangar crews and equipments which is also at 1/48 Scale figures from Hasegawa, i never had any background or experience with modeling, but i just wanna showcase my favorite macross toy.. so there i muster my guts of doing it anyway.. so that's basically my first attempt.. let reiterate that those chain bases are really intended for smaller scale mechas, so some of the add on parts might not be usefull.. chain base can be purchased at HLJ or Toyw-wave.. i got mine from the later.. -

misterryno: thanks ryan Miriya: 4 pcs chain base combined is decent enough to fit a 1/48 Valyrie in fighter mode.. i've been contemplating on using those for a diorama, what prompted me then was the size of it, it is afterall designed for 1/144 gundams i believe.. i never knew they could actually be combined to fit in larger scale mechas like the 1/48s until recently -

my WIP diorama.. still have to install some LEDs.. -
i have been using these replacement stand to some of my valkyries.. here's some pics of them: misterryno: this one's for you ryan for the Valks in fighter mode, i opted to hook it directly on the underarm for i had the same impression as Roy's of placing the entire weight of the toy on the gunpod, which apparently isn't the stable enough.

Here's my DRYL Squadrons -
great pics guys.. ryan: i dig that VF-1S, love how you manage to panel line it.. here's my contribution.. nothing fancy, just like the sight of them whilte letting my wind wander..

get a second job.. and prepare for upcoming hauling..
-
apparantly FUN has a directly correlated with spending.. and for some people, who have invested a lot getting all the previous VF-1 types, and now yamato came up with a totally new line up of VF-1s.. now that's inevitably another pain the wallet.. i think nobody hates toys! heck, not me.. it's more of hating myself.. cause i know whether i like it or not, i might end up collecting these toys again..

would have been better if make it all "white" feathers mate.. (the pink feather's make it kinda gay) nevertheless, it's a very nice idea at showcasing your newly acquired valk..
-
hopefully it will be lesser than 100USD (as far as i know, you can already get a 1/48 Valk at Toywave for 100USD)... i really don't mind starting all over again with the upcoming 1/60 if the price is significantly cheaper, especially when it has the improvements as stated..
-
is there any confirmation as to what price range these valks would be priced at? i am pretty sure one big reason why most of us here get all hype up with the latest development is because we're expecting it to be priced at significantly cheaper than the 1/48s.. but knowing the very reason why the 1/48 valks are expensive in the first place (i skimmed throught the newbie faq thread and read about the justification for the 1/48's price) and having it implemented on an even smaller 1/60 VF-1.. then don't you think it's a possiblity that these upcoming valks could be more expensive than the 1/48s?? if such this the case, then this is not all good news.. perhaps for the budget conscious fans..

i might just get the VF-1S only.. the excalivor thingy of the YF-19 is a major turn off for me..
-
according to that forum thread, the clear canopy version is said to have the fixes already.. though i am somehow skeptical about it.. how come something like this would fall undisclosed here in macrossworld.. so far, i've had almost all first hand information of just about anything from macross/robotech from this site.. was really surprised when i got by this forum.. anyway, perhaps graham could give us further enlightenment..

Hi.. could somebody tell me if SV-51 was already reissued/rereleased? I was wondering because there happens to be another forum stating that the second version is already up and released last October 30.. one indication of it being the second release is it has already a clear canopy.. this is the picture posted on that forum.. here's the link to the said forum thread - SV-51 SECOND VERSION (??) hope anybody could clear this up.. so i might be able to determine whether what to specially check on the item first before i get them.. fortunately our local specialty shops here are selling the SV-51s.. thanks

by the way.. i just finally got my MAX AND MIRIA Super 1Js directly from japan! and i'm not sure if this is the case when you buy these items personally from there.. the boxes are actually partly sealed in plastic, preventing store staffs or just anybody to open it: asked the store staff about it, and she said it already was like that when they got the stocks..

ohh.. lubricating.. <---

defintely looks way better than the revoltechs.. i wonder if their articulation could decently keep up with the revoltechs as well..
-
that's why i made the DISCLAIMER beforehand, i don't want ending up getting blamed... YES, it's quite a dangerous act, but heck.. Roy's a natural daredevil! he wouldn't be happy seating in an all comforting display stand without an element of risk.. he's living up to his repu.. just made a hole at the plastic clamp that comes with the Roy and screwed it together with the G display stand.. as dangerous as it looks, but so far it's been holding roy decently with that angle for a while..

I'm more inclined at siding with the NO.. primary because of reason, that i myself am more of a MISB collector, but at the same time.. i can't seem to prevent myself from getting hold of these neat stuffs.. i didn't pay a great deal of $$$ just for aesthetics! it's like me getting sufficed with both craving for touching the actual toy and placing them back at their boxes a few minutes after and still make it look like i haven't even took it out of the box at all.. it's just a matter of how you see it i guess.. on likes of me, it's somehow a good thing... but also true with those pesky sellers who likes to mess up with their items! mind setting, i get to think more of the former.. besides, there will always be some risk of getting not so good items whether it's sealed or not.. for online purchases..

here's my take of ROY: GUYS... don't try this at home! YES.. IT'S EXACTLY AT VERTICAL POSITION..
-
urk.. i wonder why? to some: avatar: read my lips.... "pucker up baby!" to others: avatar: get your butt going.. you lazy s*n of b!+23 thanks... you see jonwayne, i am bound at keeping my avatar by my friend here and his better half..

*sigh* that damn pic just did the final blow.. and so i succumb to the SV-51 calling! Roy seems to be a 'lil lonely without his playmate.. now i'm broke.. but happy nonetheless..
