Macross variable fighter/mecha pose thread
MasterOfPuppets replied to Wicked Ace's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
This keeps bugging me about the DX. Can you move the arm outwards from the shoulder piece or do you have to use the "5 dot block"? -
Kakizaki never had a 1S.

Need help with VF-0A! NOT Shoulder related.

I'm not using modeling glue, the problem was that the cockpit window was in the way and I couldn't press the control panel against the seat to get the glue to adhere the two pieces together. Once I get it all out of the way then I'm sure it'll be easy street. -

If by wheel well you mean the screw under the landing gear then I did not. So I just need to unscrew the hip cover, the one under that, and the one under the landing gear? I'll give it a shot tomorrow since it's pretty late right now. Thanks for the help, hopefully all goes well because this thing is gorgeous. -

I take it you've done this before? I unscrewed the hip cover and the one underneath that but it feels just as solid as before. Do I just pry the whole fuselage apart? Is it glued together? Should I do this in fighter mode or in like a half transformation to battroid state so the fuselage isn't locked to the heatshield? -
So I just got my Shin VF-0A from Angolz, who're great by the way. Anyways, I was flipping the seat into the downward position for fighter mode and the control panel in front of the seat/pilot just snapped off like nothing. Now I've tried gluing it but I can't apply any pressure to get it to stick. The cockpit gets in the way too much. Any ideas on how to fix it? I got two pics that illustrate the problem if you don't know what I'm talking about.

izzyfcuk, your pics are awesome, I'd love to see you do full galleries of both VF-25s. -
Quick question, I just got my Shin VF-0A and I just want to know before I transform it past gerwalk, which screws should I loosen for sure? The shoulder, bicep and the screw that the whole arm spins on right?

Nobody knows yet. And are the Alto super packs limited? If they're just exclusive to Tamashii but not limited they could always do another run or have some in stock after preorders. -
D'oh, should have noticed the heat shield. Please post pics of the Hikaru 1S though. A lot of 1J pics floating around but I want to see this bad boy.

Looks yellow. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=698635 Unless it's a custom.

Because a pic was posted that showed the YF-19 and VF-25 next to each other in fighter mode and people said "VF-25 is undersized" and now people are saying "YF-19 is oversized". -

Somebody here figure that sh!t out! That looks so much better. That and the gerwalk mod a couple posts up really help this thing. I'll still hold off on Ozma and Alto in case of future FP/Armor bundles. But I'm very tempted despite the short comings of the DX. Michael and Luca I will definitely get. -

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.3

Purely in the looks department, I would completely agree. I couldn't comment on any other aspect of them since I own neither. I mean just look at these galleries. http://blog.kuruten.jp/bat/59575 http://blog.kuruten.jp/bat/59741 The smaller model kit looks better than the larger toy in almost every shot and angle. And it isn't even like a Hasegawa where it only looks better in one mode because it isn't transformable because the VF-25 is. I could go on and on but I'm pretty sure it has all been said before. That said, I'll probably end up getting the DX's because I don't see Bandai redoing them for several years and I want some 1/60 scale VF-25s for my collection. The model kit is great and all but it isn't in the scale I want. If it was, you could bet that I would get and build them as best as I could. I would finally put my air brush to some use. -

Apparently I can only vote if I vote for all of them. So I'll just go with... 1. Meh 2. Maybe, not sure. <--- Should have been a choice 3. Both as long as neither are gross.

Alto's looks pretty wicked, and Ozma fails to impress. And I thought he was a man... -

There are so many things that could be so much better with the DX and yet I cannot look away, I find myself wanting one so badly! -
You would be correct, only Max got a 1S upgrade. Not only is Kakizaki no where near good enough to get that kind of promotion, you can see in the scene right before he bites the dust that his VF-1 only had a single head laser even though the head itself was too dark and shadowed to make out.

When I read this I literally said "what the f**k are you smoking" out loud to myself. Honestly? Show me a website that is selling this thing for that price, please. On another note, I'm really considering picking up the 25G. But I just really, really hope Bandai ends up releasing Alto's and Ozma's 25s with their respective armor in a bundle. The prospect of not being able to have a fully armed squad of the 4 sometime down the line without paying out the ass for Alto's fast packs and possibly Ozma's armor is holding me back really. -

Seriously? How the heck do those things work? I have an Ikea detolf glass cabinet and one of the magnets on it is ridiculously strong. I was thinking of getting some flexi stands but I'm afraid that the Valks will just fall off due to the shaking of the case when it opens. Preferably I'd want to somehow weaken the magnet though...
