    During the Megazone23XI kickstarter they were offering that white version of the Garland in 1/20th as I recall. Maybe they just made them 1/20th and decided to sell them as 1/24th because that's the size they had the Garland toy rights for?

    I also like the royal red scheme on the Sazabi much more than a bright red scheme. The boxart nails it but the plastic is just a touch too loud.

    I kinda remember hearing that the Shogo figure was a smaller scale so he could fit inside the robot torso. Those pictures have me really tempted to buy the new Garland but I'll stay strong and wait for the Proto Garland or a factory finish version.

    Yeah it looks more like an improvement to the old Yamato mold than a whole new toy. I guess it goes to show how close Yamato got to the original CAD used in the OVA.

    I put my Proto Garland back in its box a few years ago, if I opened it up now its probably just a pile of plastic dust . Didn't it use gold plastics on some of the joints, that's never a good thing.

    The AGE 2 was probably the best thing about Gundam AGE and the Magnum's slightly darker colors make it even better.

    I'm not! I've already got a few VF-1 in 1/60 and 1/48 so I'm set for now. Maybe if Bandai goes nuts and releases some of the alternate liveries from the Master File books I'll bite but hopefully for my wallet that won't happen.

    What a shame, I was really hoping they could do it. Maybe Arcadia will give it a shot but I wouldn't blame them if they decide to skip it.

    It's been a long time but I've already seen it. That's kinda why I had any interest in City Hunter to start with, I wanted to watch the original. I haven't seen Captain Tsubasa but Yamato got a great remake and that's even older, I think Macross would still do good with a modern audience given the same Yamato 2199 treatment.

    I felt like watching something non mecha for a change so I watched the first season of City Hunter. It's one of the most 80's shows I've ever seen, the episodes can get a little samey at times but it's a good show overall. City Hunter is good at riding the line between silly antics and serious drama. I'm not feeling up to watching another 50 episodes of season 2 right now but maybe I'll watch a couple of the movies.

    I recall hearing that they lost the masters to Mellowlink many years ago so releasing a quality blu ray may be out of the picture (that might just be an old rumor though). I doubt Maiden Japan will release Votoms at a crazy price, their Patlabor blu rays aren't crazy high in price and that's a niche series as well.

    I'm a little worried that the arm joints won't be able to hold up the effect parts for long but damn it looks great!

    But cheap schlock Gundam is the best, it also has the best hammy Char. If the movie is just 0079 live action I hope they keep "Char you craven traitor" as a silly nod to the live action game.

    An in depth look at the new gundam marker airbrush, don't think I'm going to get one but it could be useful.

    It does come with some bullethole stickers but no damaged effect parts sadly, I'm more disappointed it doesn't come with any gun firing effects. It has the 90mm and bullpup mg but no firing effects, guess Bandai expect us to buy more Zakus for those.

    Same here, I was going to skip the GM cold climate because it wasn't as cool as the space command type (which will probably be a p-bandai sooner or later). Well Bandai must have seen the pre-order numbers are low since they announced that the Hygogg is coming with a claw holding a destroyed GM head on the tamashii website. Guess I gotta get the cold type GM now.

    Macross 5, they seem like a fine bunch of people that nothing bad will ever happen to....... at least they reached their destination safely.
