I was thinking in a complete new war with the supervision army. Could be interesting to see the U.N. Spacy facing this powerful menace in a last space war. And maybe a lost zentradi fleet can get involved too, in a battle to get the control of the new micronian's colonies and the last source of the protoculture. But saving all that spiritia stuff because is not required with the protodevlin out of scene.

Actually the orguss valkyrie is an hybrid design of the orguss and the vf-1, developed by Kazutaka Miyatake. And yes, it was included in macross to announce the upcoming new series from studio nue. Wow, that's a really interesting idea man . But a very radical one too. I mean, it could be a great new concept like macross plus; about an specific historical moment of the macross saga, but if is not well done could be a little confusing like the macross zero story. And I always like the mistery around the unknown protoculture people.

I'm completely agree with that, the VF-1 is the pure concept of "variable fighter", no matter how many designs have come after.

I'm completely agree with that, macross don't need "a new face" to continue. Personally, I really like to see a movie with a story like the one in macross VF-X2. A movie that shows all the good things of the macross universe together, and then a great finale like the one in that game. Kawamori and his team did the same thing with the minmay-hikaru-misa storyline in macross flashback and we are all happy with it.
