I have been around the block a few times.  US Army veteran from the Cold War Era.  Was on M60s rather than M1s.  That alone should tell you how old I am . . . . can you say older than dirt?  Do mostly military modeling with a good bit of SciFi thrown in.  Didn't find out about Robotech/Macross until return from Germany for last time.  Found it on oddball channel in Fla while channel surfing and have stuck with it ever since.  Much better than . . . dare I say it . . . Captain Scarlett and the Mysterions.  Again an age give away.  Anyway, have been using Poser for my art for quite awhile now.  Found several nice models on various sites as well as one that has folded due to the originator, Chris Schell, having some health issues.  He's still hanging in there, so only time will tell if he returns to the fold.  However, said items are still available on Renderosity and Vanishing Point.  Items such as the original veritechs of the first generation with textures that resemble the units used in Robotech.  Other goodies can also be found on the Vanishing Point site such as certain destroids.  Haven't found any Invid or Zentradi like mecha though.  Chris had some good standins for the  Zerntradi ships though.
