I would agree that they are x 2 and not x 1... it must be a mistake in the spec data. I doubt that it is an animation mistake as Kawamori did the battle scene storyboards and is very involved in this project.

QF-2001 Ghost from Macross Zero Episode 3
Aurel Tristen replied to Aurel Tristen's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well, if an AI-controlled drone (such as the QF-3000E Ghost) were to get kill tally marks painted on it by the crew who maintain it (?)... why not the other way around : ) http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...ro/qf3000e.html (See first image) The spot-like things on the main optical sensor unit housing appear to be kill marks. (they don't look like vents/heat sinks) -

broken link just fixed -
Check this out: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...ero/qf2001.html More to come....

Okay.... sorry. I guess I won't be able to get that Cat's Eye or Dragon II : (
-
It might not really be my place to say, but.... I think we should be more patient. Making models is a time-consuming activity. It is a paint-saking craft. Just making one and making it right is difficult. I say wait.... don't bug him or threaten him. That's just not right. Trust, patience and be respectful. We are talking about the guy who made the most perfect VF-1 one kit....

The measurement of 28 meters is an approximation based upon this illustration drawn by Studio Nue: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/img.../gnerl-size.jpg Thank you for your interest in and support of Nanashi's Information Group (formally the NMMA)

It now has a name.... "Gorg Gants Charts" : ) (Actually, I believe its just how you say "Heavy Attacker/Attack Craft in Zjentohlauedy.) See: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...y_attacker.html

I would like to order a Cat's Eye and a Dragon..... what do I do?

It has a name! Keep an eye on the Nanashi's website for more info on the Cheyenne Destroid: http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...e_destroid.html

The GH-30B may indeed have a collapsible body.... and if it does then the purpose would be to conserve space. Folded/retracted control surfaces and a shorter body of the micro missile would allow for more missiles to be stored than ones that did not have these features.
-
Specs for the VF-0's micro-missles indicate that they are heat seeking (IR), so presumably the VF-1's micro-missile are heat seeking as well. Graham Depends on the missile..... and source qouted ^^;; Oh yeah, speaking of the VF-Zero's micro missiles - - here's a small tidbit. I drew this side view schematic of the GH-30B. (Scroll down) Note that the entry isn't done yet. http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...siles/gh30.html

I would think that in fighter mode, rear-hemisphere defence would be the primary purpose of the arm missiles. However, if the VF-1 mounts UMM-7 micro missile pods as well, it also has the capability of backwards firing as the rear-most 5 micro-missile in each UMM-7 pod also face backwards. Graham Something else that Hasegawa screwed up on....
-
They are micro missiles. Crasher Grenades can be classified as a type of micro missile.

The NP-AR-01 (addition left and right arm "super parts") armored weapons are merely micro-missile launchers. They hold 3 larger-sized Crasher Grenade/Micro Missiles each. Within the structure of the launcher at the base there is a long duct for exhaust expelling for the lower missile (see image) and a series of vents. On the side at the rear of the launcher is a motor for the high-speed exhaust expelling fan and on the butt-end there is a service hatch for maintenance of the exhaust/launch system. You can also see the special hard point connectors atop the launcher: http://manuals.macrossmecha.info/vf1/fact/npar01.jpg

Valkyrie Development History from Hobby Handbook
Aurel Tristen replied to Aurel Tristen's topic in Movies and TV Series
I don't think the continuity has been totally thrown out of the window... maybe it hasn't been thrown out of the window at all.... There is always the possibility that the GERWALK discovery could just a a misreported accident (military lie : ) to cover the top secret VF-0 Program. And yes, the company "Shinsei Industry" was not officially formed until 2012, however the "Shinsei" design team which consisted of members from both Stonewell[/bellcom] and Shinnakasu had been working together. "So we might suppose that the VF-0 was maintained by Stonewell and Shinsei as a testbed for future technology past the VF-1 even after SW1. (The design could have survived even if none of the aircraft did.)" Yes, I agree with that. -

http://nanashi.macrossmecha.info/resrc/cat...ed_vehicle.html I believe that the missile pods might be located in the front of the vehicle beneath what appear to be hatches. If not there, they might be removable. The text from Macross Complete Encyclopedia. -
Valkyrie Development History from Hobby Handbook

I must correct you here. This Valkyrie Development History states that the VF-1A Valkyie first flew on November 29th. This was in the year 2008. Nanashi's Information Group http://manuals.macrossmecha.info/vf1/fact/...tory/index.html "...development team completed basic design 2005; one non-transformable VF-X flight test machine and one transformable VF-X-1 produced; first flight February 2007; space-worthiness tests begin in June 2007. Decision made to formally introduce the VF-X1 November 2007. and "Development and mass production of VF-1A starts November and December of 2008...." http://macross.anime.net/mecha/united_nati.../vf1/index.html Also see: http://www.anime.net/macross/story/chronol...1999/index.html "November 29 Maiden flight of the first trial production VF-1A variable fighter." -Macross Compendium -
