  1. mock battles all the way baby!!!!! although,i don't have any battle pods,my girlfriend loves being attacked by my low-viz strike.she's the biggest meltran he's ever seen. all i can say is: "ahhhh, the spoils of war"
  2. welcome to the forums!!! your collection is absolutely awsome.i have to say, that bandai vf-1s reissue focker that you have with the panel lines on it is a striking piece.that panel-line job looks great
  3. correction, women are turned on by guys who play.it intrigues a women to see the fire of youth still in man.plus, how are you ever gonna learn to play with a woman if you don't dig playin to begin with
  4. it's definately a nostalgia thing.i collect them cause of my desire to have them when i was little, but couldn't.those wants really never die.i like my yamatos better ,but i still have those few 1/55's i love for no good reason. for the love god man, play with your toys!!!!!! i'm 30 years old.i play with my valkyries,i play with my old truck,i play with my new truck,i play with my girl friend & i'm a happier person for it.guys are just like big kids, the toys only get bigger & more expensive
  5. the price you paid isn't too bad. like the others said, you could have done worse. although,i live in the u.s. & did enjoy tmpanime's excellent prices
  6. funny thing is,when dupont originally made plastic,it was supposed to last forever.i guess finishes & colors are light years behind in that department.our valks will always be here even if their finishes deteriorate <_
  7. i know it won't help the current problem, but when displaying valks i think it would help to tape a piece of car window tint over the window in the front of the box to prevent yellowing.most of these films are designed to filter out u.v. & other harmfull rays & prevent damage to your car interior.it would make it harder to see the valk, but it would save your investment in the long run & the tape wouldn't harm anything on the inside of the box.
  8. i'm glad they at least tried to address the heat shield issue on the fast -pack vf-11b. the vac-u-formed 1 on my original was.....sad
  9. hmmm,i was wondering the exact same thing.it seems like it should snap down onto that tab,but extreme pressure still doesn't do it.i'm glad i didn't break mine trying to do this.thanks indigofx

welcome newbie!!! you will enjoy hanging here & buying valkyries for your collection.you will learn many new skills.like: how to hide new valkyrie purchases from your girlfriend. how a valkyrie you thought you couldn't afford, suddenly became achievable with some financial shuffling. being a virtual valkyrie broker with all the purchases & trades you'll make over the years.
  11. man,episode 3 looks like it's gonna be sweet!!!
  12. hey, looks great so far.i didn't know they made a SD-ve-1. let us see more when it's finished!!!
  13. kanata67,if your going to go with something in a .380,i'd recommend something by walther.the ppk & others in the series are what james bond carried & are among the highest quality in the .380's.i also owned a russian made one that was pretty nice. a .380 is only slightly smaller than a 9mm i believe.
  14. hmm, nato 5.56.is that the round the new ak shoots? i heard that the ak was recently downgraded from 7.62 to 5.56 in an effort to try to increase range & accuracy
  15. the best shotgun for home defense i think is a mossberg.the 500 is an all black pistol grip style that's easy to manuever in tight spaces.it will hold 8 rounds w/ the choke removed.you can get 1 for about $250.the 590 is a little longer w/ a 9 round capacity & the choice between a stock or a pistol grip.but,it's nickle plated so it'll run you about $500.the best round for home defense is a #4 shot(commonly used for turkey hunting) it gets the job done & doesn't produce such a heavy kick-back(easy for girls to shoot if neces.) good thing about were i live(delaware) is that you CAN shoot anybody that enters your house as an intruder. the only rule is that they have to be completely across the threshhold of the door.a cop told me that if you shoot them & they fall outside, drag them into your house(i thought that was funny to here coming from a cop ).if you live in a state that requires there to be imminent danger from an intruder in order to shoot them, all you have to do is tell the cop you saw them reaching inside there jacket like they were reaching for a weapon.most cops will believe law-abiding joe-home owner over some criminal anyway
  16. with all these comments about the violence,i found one thing that really surprised me.my girlfriend & her roommate went to see this movie after i gave it such a good review to her.both of them are recently emigrated from china.i warned her that it was kind of violent, but they went anyway.both girls absolutely loved it & want to go see it multiple times & maybe even pick up a copy on dvd.it surprised me very much, but then i wondered if they enjoyed cause this movie would probably be heavily cut or even banned all-together in china.seeing the real-deal was probably a treat for them.with all the negative comments about the violence,i am just glad we are lucky enough to be able to see the directors original vision w/o someone else making that decision for us
  17. guns i own & love: my mossberg 590 marine-grade 12 guage shotgun.the 590 being a little longer than the 500 enabling it to carry 9 rounds(eight under & 1 in the chamber).it's nickel plated & absolutely awsome to shoot(especially w/ the pistol grip). & my most recent purchase: springfield armories xd-series 9mm.very cool to shoot & it's looks remind me of maj. kusanagi's handgun in "ghost in the shell" my dream rifle to own would have to be a styer scout rifle.
  18. damn,i left before the credits were done ,but this movie was badass. all i can say is mmmmmmmm-gogo ubari......very nice. i bet we'll never get to see lucy liu with her scalp cut in half again either hehehe. she was damn violent in this flick.never seen her in a role like that.
  19. i chose the multiple option, but my first choice on that list wouold be a max vf-1s type. there's the max love everybody's been wondering about.the next choices would be a kakizaki dyrl? vf-1a & a vf-1a t.v. type max. B)
  20. i loved "pulp fiction" so i'm definately going to check this one out tonight. plus i'm with "exo's " earlier comment. i'm going to see deadly asian school-girl w/ her ball & chain. i'm a simple man to please
  21. mine was also a jetfire back in '85. my first official valkyrie was a yamato yf-19a game color.
  22. thanks for the pics yoshi!!!
  23. great work kidk.your customs are always very cool.
  24. so far i love zero.just finished the second episode & it was cool.i'm also liking the whole spiritual tie-in w/ dyrl with the sunken city/lost tribes of humanity deal.i've always though technology is nothing without extreme emotion.valkyrie pilots just have soul.unlock the inner fire & connect w/ your valkyrie.roy always had it.so did max in dyrl. B)
  25. cool pics guys, you are very talented modelers.figures are the hardest to detail i think.can't wait to see the diorama sithlord!!!
