Oh please god no. Any movie WITHOUT Halle Berry is a good movie. The less we have of that pretentious, stuck up, crappy acting bitch who thinks she's hot (but she's not), the better. Vostok 7 I am totally confused by this post. Not because of it's content but because of who the authur is and I dodn't even care for Halle. Anyways, I'll pass on this film because retro-future style is the only way to do it and most likely won't happen. I'm sure they are thinking something along the lines of CGI heavy Star Wars type of film with an all American football hero chanting "USA" for no apparent reason at some poitn in the film.

Question did all the lonely women animators do scantily clad men pictures? okay that was a cheap question but I'm still curious LOL I knew someone was gonan ask that at some point. Ironically, most of the girls animate animals and cutesy stuff. The ones that do animate guys seldom have the model half naked. The few cases that I have seen of this is because the model is actually modeled after her boyfriend/husband and she's animated some fantasy situation (I don't think I have to explain). Been the same case with me as well. I've never been interested in the CGI subject but definately my live reference. heh Sure when I was a little kid back in the 80s I had a crush on GI Joe's Shipwreck, Thundercat's Liono, Jayce from the Wheel Warriors, Char Aznable of Gundam fame and to some extent in 89 my ideal flesh and blood version of Link from the Legend of Zelda. Then I grew up and didn't care about that stuff anymore and more or less applied ideals of those characters personalities to flesh and blood men. Now, that I think about it. I think women in gneral just think differently when it comes to these things because we know in the end a virtual guy won't give us an orgasm no matter what crazy fantasies go thru our heads. Plain and simple.

I know, Takaya. My comments are directed at the guys that came up with the Playboy spread idea. Those poor lonely otaku bastards. I know you want to see it out of sheer curiosity which I'm sure this will generate alot of. A CG Playboy spread will make anybody go "WTF? I have to see this!". Gobotfool, of course they have. Only now it's almost practically socially acceptible to have a virtual girlfriend instead of a real one.

Thought I may be asked to hand in my male-gamer fanboy card, no, you're not alone in that this is not of the cool. In fact, it's getting rather tired. Less eyecandy for the sake of eyecandy and more gameplay goodness. The scary thing is that this sort of thing is spreading. When the animation (both 2D and 3D) students here passed in their final porjects last semester, many of them featured scantily clad women. Now I know how many hours and hard work goes into developign and shaping the deatils of polygon and nurb characters. So I couldn't help but feel bad for the male student that spent countless hours staring at a screen and working on a fake CGI female body and often times with "reference material". Yet, they care less and less for the real girls in their references and literally pour their hearts into the animated character they just created. It's very distrubing. I have a student who believes he's in love with Velma from Scooby Doo. Know not a look alike or the actress that plays her int he POS movies but the cartoon character. It was funny when watching Otaku No Video eyars back but since being in the industry... I'm not laughing anymore.

Am I the only one who finds this rather disturbing? Way more insane than the Lara Croft book of a few years ago. Poor lonely otaku bastards developing this stuff.........

Why don't they give her long raven black hair like she should have?

I think his big red eyes are creepy.

Thanks but I usually buy from them as a last resort if I can't find a cheaper place. I honestly spend too much money on that site. My last purchase order wracked up to an astounding $455 USD not including shipping charges. The Nausicaa set was worth it tho.

Wooo.... Where can I get this baby? Damn, what must we do to get the Gunbuster license out of Mangle's hands and into Bandia America's?????

Where in the World is Carmen San Diego
Jemstone replied to Agent ONE's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Come to think of it. Did anyone EVER catch carmen on the game show? I recall a few teams whom were clsoe but just missed her at the timer. I still have this game for my old defunct Mac 600 along with "Oregon Trail" which was damn near impossible to make it with the whole family. -

Can ya post a few pics? I can' wait to see what I'm getting. -
It could be the same one Manga licensed before. If it is, hopefully all the episodes will be released on DVD. Ginrei's the ebst thing about the show.

Meh. The film sucks and I don't even want to comment on this Anderson guy but I think in time he will be forgotten. An Alien 5 or Alien 27 with it's own animated series wouldn't bother me at this point because; THERE ARE ONLY 2 ALIEN FILMS. Anything else is a evil figment of some the imagination. EDIT: Cory, I can tell you the only real purpose the film served was as yet another example of CG and special effects for students and others int he field (like me). After that only those who could careless about the franchises involved really loved it for the mindless violence.

Those would be perfect for my "coke bottle" chess set.

Mine's in the mail and being delivered by UPS so I'm VERY worried. -
Yeah the auto word changer sensor thing is super lame. You guys just have no sense of humor. Lebhead and RtH would love the filter! LOL that's true. maybe we should have a filter where the word turns to "Lebhead" like a past message board. LOL He got a kick out of it.

Then that makes two of us.

Hikuro, are you saying Close Encounters of the Third kind was the same film as Jaws? Then again you didn't get Saving Private Ryan at all or what war in general is (judging by your "far fetched" comment) so I'm not gonna bother. And what's with this thread? It's all become about defending Steven Spielberg instead of fanboy whining and bitching about the next sure to be sci-fi film remake that will rape our childhoods. Come on, guys. That's the MW way!

Blaine, do you know what exactly it is you just said?

Unfortunately, Marvel sometimes suffers from whatever illness the Fox network suffers by canceling it's best books. The Alias series was great (no relation to the Jen Garner show) but it was canned. I just hope this wasn't due to a Disney/ABC prevention. They've done that with so many more titles I've lost count.
