  1. MPG-10 Lift Ticket https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/2360952/ MPG-11 DK-2 Guard (they are actually going with that name!?) https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/2361033/ I don't really have any interest in these Diaclone variants and like to save money, but if any one of them is designated a Decepticon, then I would have to pick it up as I just kind of like the idea of "evil G1 carbot" versions.
  2. GX-111 Great Mazinger KAKUMEI SHINKA https://www.taghobby.com/archives/786241
  3. Hacchaka has reviews up for GFFMC Gouf and MB Lancelot Albion. https://hacchaka.net/archives/52109008.html https://hacchaka.net/archives/52109306.html
  4. I think I might pick this up, the reinterpreted design looks good and pricing should be better compared to the Pose+ version.
  5. Seems like the first original MPs to be retitled under the MPG line are going to be Diaclone inspired mould reissues – Red Hoist and Black Ironhide. https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/05/30/possible-first-look-at-transformes-masterpiece-mpg-red-trailbreaker-black-ironhide-512626 Surprised Takara is utilising the dated and not so good MP Ironhide again.
  6. If past MP releases are anything to go by, then I am expecting the usual entitled moaning and complaining from "fans" listing local online stores with exaggerated price tags and blaming Takara for that (remember MP-44 – "It costs 500 Dollars!"). Unfortunately a lot of western Transformers fans live in a wonderful ignorant collecting bubble, no understanding for high-end toys or the (domestic) market Takara is operating in with other competitors. If it's not sub 100 Dollars and can't be found at Walmart or Target in a bargain bin sale three weeks after release, then naturally Takara is at fault with their pricing when it doesn't match this "gold standard" no matter what effort was actually put in the toy. Predaking was teased with the Studio Ox silhouette, so I don't think the AMT line is exclusive Flame Toys. Actually I don't even think this line is really exclusive to Transformers, I can see Takara trying their hand with other IPs as well, similar to Metal Build where there are plenty of Gundams but also an Arbalest, Sirbine, Shin Getter etc.
  7. According to solicitations this is around 21 cm and the sword is a whopping 45 cm! I think in universe the Double Zeta is 21 metres, so the SOC technically is 1/100 scale or at least very close to it. I would like to know how good articulation is going to be, from my limited dabbling in the SOC line it isn't exactly setting high standards. The biggest question however is, can/will this be retooled into the original ZZ Gundam and released under Metal Build/Composite line?
  8. Read this somewhere else, but yeah very disappointing and displeasing to find out. If they want to use Amuro, then I would say just replace the seiyu with someone similar sounding – I take no issue with that.
  9. Latest news, Disney+ has worldwide distribution for this latest Code Geass entry. The four movies will be re-edited into 12 episodes and released weekly starting 21 June. https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/2351527/
  10. It's a shame Bandai based their HMR VF-4 on Yamato's ugly and terribly proportioned version. Just like Yamato's YF-21, Battroid mode was/is absolutely wasted. My hope is that Bandai caps off the DX SDF/DYRL line with a completely new 1/48 VF-4 that actually resembles with the Battroid lineart and intended silhouette. Either that or I would also be happy with HG shortcut change model kit.
  11. CCS Toys is taking a stab at Alteisen from Super Robot Wars OG, will be interesting to see how this compares to Flame Toys' version. Proportions and overall sculpt look fine, but the nitty-gritty detailing I find to be too distracting. Granted that could be due to it being all grey and not having any colours yet. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/784035
  12. Show me the way to you – Heavy Metal Lead me now where you are – Heavy Metal ima ima... L-GAIM!
  13. A bit old news, but the club members special MB Astray Gundam Blue Frame with updated sculpt was displayed at the Tokyo store. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/777357 https://www.taghobby.com/archives/769820
  14. Schizophonic has put his review up – Intro, Part 1, Part 2 Better?
  15. Yes, you are seeing right – Gundam has finally invaded the SOC line. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/783718
  16. Who would have thought that the very first Gundam related mecha in the SOC line is going to be Tryon-3. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/783718
  17. Hasbro (thank god!) has nothing to do with this, it is going to be a 100% made by Takara product for their market. Takara is not relinquishing anything or outsourcing toy making to another company here, it's just that they are also cooperating with other designers and implementing their different design aesthetics.
  18. This won't be considered as an addition to the original Timm-verse right?
  19. Takara is introducing a new label called "T-Spark" which will be focusing on high-end toys and model kits (think Bandai's Tamashii). They are somewhat going back to their roots by entering with non-other than Brave Exkaiser in the "Toyr!se" line! https://www.taghobby.com/archives/781917 (Start at 3:38 mark for Toyr!se)
  20. Takara is introducing a new label called "T-Spark" which will be focusing on high-end toys and model kits (think Bandai's Tamashii). As part of this label there will be a line called "Toyr!se" and it seems Takara has got some Scopedogs in the pipeline and in 1/48 scale – which sort of makes it like a spiritual successor to their earlier Actic Gear line! https://www.taghobby.com/archives/781917 (Start at 3:38 mark for Toyr!se)
  21. A bit surprised no one has reported on this yet, but Takara is introducing a new label called "T-Spark" which will be focusing on high-end toys and model kits (think Bandai's Tamashii). https://hjweb.jp/article/1505782/ For Transformers there is the new line named "Adamas Machina" which seems to be a collaborative line with other creators to bring their designs into physical form. These are going to be fully transformable and also have Chogokin in them. First entry is AMT-01 Hot Rod, which is based on the Flame Toys K3/IDW look, but perhaps more interestingly is that AMT-02 is going to be Predaking, a combiner that seems to be following the appearance from season three "Call to Primitives" episode (Studio OX). All of this might also explain why Takara decided to consolidate the MP line into MGP after MP-60.
  22. Nice, visor+face plate > mono-eye! This give me hope for Bandai making a complimentary VF-19S/F out of the Kai.
  23. Yeah, the attention to articulation and the innovative approach to it – like for example, the increased range at the hip joint and therefore omitting thigh or knee swivels – is really making the Plamax kit stand out.
  24. Some background to where this is coming from – it's part of a project named "Sunrise Robot Laboratory" which wants to further explore past Sunrise Mecha works, so not just limited to Dunbine. Wouldn't mind seeing something new for Dragonar and L-Gaim. https://gundamnews.org/sunrise-reanimates-aura-battler-dunbine-in-gorgeous-new-experimental-video
