  1. The price is steep, but I would be a hipocrite considering I pre-ordered a VF-17D at 254€. But my problem is - and I am betting others have the same dilemma - am I willing to do this for a paint scheme I don't really like or at least associate with? There is no connection here, do not know who flew this variant and what role it played in the Macross-verse?
  2. Like everyone else, saw the announcement then blinked and the pre-orders where all gone. Would have got it but now I will just let it be. Who knows, we actually might get the proper Ozma variant down the line.
  3. This and this I noticed too. But I must admit I am kind of pissed with Yamato that they held back with this announcement. Their approach leaves a lot to be desired! I really don't care for the super packs and had I known beforehand I would have just bought the plain VF-17D... grrrr!!!
  4. Gunbuster science lessons come to mind...
  5. Na, the head isn't doing it for me either. I just do not remember the -17D being that ugly in M7.
  6. The same as the VF-19S. Unless one head laser, no chin and white paint make such a difference...
  7. Weren't they going to announce MP-14 or something?
  8. So Bandai doing renewals and actually having vastly improved good quality toys is what, a half-hearted attempt and not taking Macross seriously?
  9. As the topic says, any chance of re-issues in celebration of 30th? I am really on a Macross trip at the moment and itching to get a fresh VF-0S and Ivanov. And to keep this thread interesting: Are MW members ready for/awaiting renewal versions? I can't speak for the SVF-51 but I don't really think VF-0 needs one. I had the very first issue of the VF-0S and it was a mess but I think tweaks/fixes are good enough to keep on with it.
  10. Could somebody please post pics of the different head variants? I thought the letter designation was just nomenclature, but didn't really have that much impact on design differences!?
  11. Oh well look like any funds I would have found for MP Ultra Magnus will be going elsewhere this year. Pity.
  12. Just got lucky and was able to score a YF-29 at anime-export.
  13. 8 June for DVD/Blu-Ray, PSN I don't know. Anyway I was going to pre-order at Amazon UK, but at 47£ I said no way. Then I thought I would try Amazon US, and it's the same... 95$. WTF is going on with the prices here!?
  14. Looks like Yamato went the extra mile, the head cap is actually more angular. Thought they would just reuse the existing one from the -19S.
  15. Not sure if the poster pictures are old, but the head still looks very ugly. Frankenstein or bald Vader... though decisions...
  16. Definitley not liking the colour scheme! It has to be the Hikaru Skull Leader variant otherwise I won't be splashing 200+ Euros for this!
  17. Nice. Although this means at least another long year of patience.
  18. Yep, the Unicorn soundtrack is really great and best of all a OST 3 is coming soon. Although this will not happen I really would love to see the Unicorn go up against the Nu Gundam. Now that would be awesome fan service...
  19. But in a real strict sense there really isn't any... look closer So is this a custom build? Looks awesome, love the head sculpt, not so much the wing kibble. Bandai/Yamato we need this now!!!!
  20. It's a slow and tedious process to come up with a one-dimensional evil bad-guy character. Oh, and who else is pumped to finally see some lens flares in 3D!!!
  21. Is the VF-1S specifically labeled as Roy or Hikaru? I ask because these VF-1/side cover combos on offer here are all the ones Hikaru flew in SDF. Anyway glad Yamato is finally doing this, although they should have done this the first time around. Now all I need is a re-release of Hikaru DYRL VF-1S with the side covers and the revised crotch lock...
  22. Never understood why the -21/-22 receive overall positive praise, Battroid and GERWALK look pretty much like garbage on the current version. If Yamato can put in the same kind of attention and love into those two modes like with the fighter, then I would welcome a Ver. 2.
  23. VF-1 hands down. The overall simplistic design and S-type head with visor, faceplate and the four lasers make it an all-time favourite for me. Now if the VF-1 had to go up against the VFX-1 "Schneeblume"...
  24. I'm pi**ed, come home from work and see that pre-orders have all been closed from my choice of online stores. grrr...
