This was the pre-order with the mark-up at 25k Yen. I got a mail on 8 December telling me that it is going to the logistics partner (keep in mind I use their Trans-Logistic scheme) and I would receive a tracking number within 48 hours. A week and a half later still no tracking number, so I opened a case with NY basically telling me that their partner is overloaded due to Christmas and that it may take a bit. Since then nothing has happened. Normally I am pretty patient and relaxed about these things. NY has come through for me on many occasions, so I don't want to dismiss them, but it is a bit unnerving that my order is sort of stuck in limbo.

Just curious, is anyone still waiting for their VF-1S from NY to be shipped like me?

Arrrgghhh... Kal-El what happend to you!? Never played the games or read the books, so Witcher thing was all new to me. Definitely the whole chrono-puzzle storytelling is its novelty, but I am hooked and will continue to watch.

Lost in Space series a Netflix adventure?
lechuck replied to 007-vf1's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Enjoyed season 2, overall good pacing, solid character development and awesome special effects. At times it felt like a big movie budget was granted for 50 minutes of television. -
Yeah me too, I will never get use to or except beefy Batman. The story is great, but the art direction is just terrible to my eyes.

Yamato 1/48 aesthetically pleasing... lol. To work with the car analogy, a Fiat Multipla has inner engine details to show too, but when you close that bonnet it is still an ugly car. So I will gladly have less inner details and take the "inferior" Bandai DX with the better proportions and articulation.

There is a December release, which according to NY will be 23rd.

So it seems BBTS put up a listing for MP-49 as Black Convoy. The easy conclusion is that it is a MP-44 repaint, but there is also some wishful speculation that it could be Scourge from RiD.- 16945 replies

Those patterns on the helmet always irritate me, I am always reminded of Overman King Gainer - and I did not like that anime.

Looks fantastic, pre-ordered two of these. Are we witnessing something historic here, a Mospeada Legioss usurping the legendary Macross VF-1 as best transforming jet fighter!? TOTY 2020!

That YF-21 is shaping up fine, confident that Bandai will put out nice DX toy. I wonder if we will get VF-22 variants from this, would actually prefer those. Glad I had some foresight this time and got rid of my VF-22 not long ago. I would say sell the Yamato ones while you can, because they are going to become pretty much obsolete once this is out on the market.

The central swing bar needs to go (regardless if detachable or not) in any next gen. toy after the DX. It is the no. 1 reason why VF-1 Battroid modes end up as a compromise. Because the stupid bar needs to be accommodated/compensated for, there are vertical positioning issues to always consider, but the far greater problem that does not seem to get recognition is that it also pushes the fuselage part to far out, consequentially leading to the head plate sitting on thin air, heatshield-belly syndrome and big gaps between chest and back plate. The VF-1 is supposed to be very compact in Battroid mode, take a side profile look at any of the modern VF-1 toys and it becomes very apparent why it is not that way.

I should have just said Havok's wrists. Anyway my fears have been confirmed with a review of the set from MCUcollector24.

So how wide are Havok's forearm tips, is it Colossus bad? And is Polaris' hair more on the flexible or hard side?

Hikaru 1S - what else? Suggesting anything other means one is living in denial of awesomeness.

I held back on the ZZ Gundam because I sort of expected FAZZ to come, albeit as a P-Bandai - suprised it is not. But ouch... a price tag of 11,000 JPY, for me not very attractive at the moment.

The new FF wave is nice, I like the modern suit designs, weakest entry is She-Hulk. Also I would hope they eventually also give us the two kids. Depending on the BAF I might just pick the whole set, my guess the BAF is going to be Super Skrull.

Lost in Space series a Netflix adventure?

Glad it is coming back, been a bit of a wait. When it comes to Sci-Fi, this show and The Expanse rate very high for me. -
Man... I feel old when I see these Picard trailers. Data looks a bit odd, maybe they should use some of that CG face-smoothing effects on him, but it is great to see Riker and Troi again. Also that beautiful nod to the Galaxy class, I would really like to see the latest Starfleet vessel be a spiritual successor to it, maybe hire Andy Probert to specifically handle the design.

Was Ginrai's debut in Transformers Masterforce before the toy came out? Because in the cartoon Ginrai is depicted transforming exactly that way, meaning Takara wouldn't be to blame if the toy came later? Is it really a shell former? To me that would be something like G1 Scourge or Nerf gun Megatron, where you just have large plastic casing hanging of the robot. In MP-44's case anything that acts like facia, will eventually serve a new purpose or contribute to the appearance. As I stated above, MP-10 (and MP-1) has the waist rotation in their transformation, which was never depicted like that in the cartoon, so MP-44 is not setting a precedent and I don't see how one can be worse over the other? The arms actually do somewhat retain that swing out motion, it is just covered by that one layer of plastic.- 16945 replies

Because Takara's aim is to have the robot and vehicle mode follow the animation as close as possible and not necessarily the transformation sequence. In an interview Takara has explained that they had a challenge of properly mass shifting MP-44 from alt-mode to robot, hence the classic fold-out arms was omitted and the side panels were introduced to help beef-up the lower legs and simultaneously narrow down the body/torso area during transition to robot form for proper appearance (and of course vice versa for vehicle). MP-10 also makes a transformation concessions by having that waist rotation to bring the legs in the right direction, the animation gif makes it clear how very wrong that is.- 16945 replies

I you ask me, don't do it. You will regret it in stop and go traffic. Barely slipping the clutch , then disengaging, slipping the clutch, disengaging.... over and over. I made the switch a couple of years ago to a ZF automatic and I don't want to ever go back to manual again.

Apparently it is his stealth suit that Tony used to fight against some ninjas (hence also the included light sword). http://marveltoynews.com/exclusive-marvel-legends-stealth-invincible-iron-man-figure-po/

My MP-44 is on its way, I must admit I haven't been this exited for a release of any kind for a very long time. I paid 276 Euros for mine and I have no problem with Takara's higher asking price, because I acknowledge the effort in the nice aesthetics, proper proportions and insanely good engineered articulation. This to me is value for the money, in contrast you would not get me to buy an Arcadia "premium" Valkyrie. Slapping more markings on a toy does not constitute real effort to me and therefore not worth the surcharge. I generally do not understand where this notion comes from that Takara has to make higher end Transformers toys for dumping prices. If the design and engineering is on par with other contemporary offerings then I see no problem with Takara pricing accordingly.- 16945 replies

They look integral to me and thinking this a bit further it could be that they auto fold/unfold depending on how the chest is rotated.
