The MAS-01 Optimus Prime also has them. Never been a fan of those wheel casings sticking out on the side of the legs, but Ultimetal does it best.- 16945 replies

For those that like Bayverse Transformers, MPM-10 has been revealed. I must say that I do like the stop motion advertising.- 16945 replies

I wish they would have done Star Convoy and Super Megatron proper as MP, rather than repurposing mass retail toys.- 16945 replies

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

I have been looking out for MP-29+ as well, but find the current going prices very steep. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for at manda? -
Haha, if one were gutsy you could walk in to work with that Spider Bracelet and throw people off that walk around with smart watches.

Who here has MP-44 and is still impressed with it? Six months in - I still have OP v3 on my desktop and really enjoy picking it up and messing around with it on a frequent basis. I can't think of any recent toy or model kit that has kept me entertained for this long. I think Takara has done a masterful job here. I know some are hoping for a MP-44+ toy deco version, but I would actually prefer to have a -44D - for Devastation version. To differentiate it would have cell shaded painting, no chrome and the Autobot insignia with white backing. Accessories would include an alternate accurate game-head as well as S1/S2 heads, Ion Blaster, Energy Axt and a Star Saber. Trailer and all the other parts would be omitted.- 16945 replies

Woah... that Spider-Man! I can't quite discern it, but the icing would be if that new body has a ball-jointed torso instead of the usual ab-crunch/waist swivel system.

This looks much improved over their initial release, that is some serious overhaul KC have done. Kudos to them for striving for improvement and already going about it in such a short time. @Kuma Style when you get the time could you please go through all the articulation, it would be much appreciated. This VF could be king when it comes to poseability, very interested in the dark knee section, waist and that new shoulder/armpit joint.

I am still waiting for my VF-1S from them, which reminds me that I need to inquire about it again. And it is not just a Macross pre-order thing, people in other forums are posting similar complaints. Seems like NY currently has general and serious problem with getting orders out.

You could also maybe try Gentei Kits, but I can't really give any feedback as I have yet to try them.

I don't care or follow third party that much, so I had to check with YouTube and honestly, I am not impressed. Sure they get all the car bits extremely compressed, but at the cost of being very fiddly and messy to deal with as well as not making the actual bot any more attractive or articulate either. I will take the larger backpack footprint if it means I get more - how to put it - industrialized engineering to handle the toy irritation free. Far to much is made and exaggerated about the backpacks and sorry, but it is simply not true what you are saying.- 16945 replies

That is some memory you have. I had to check, but yes that was me. In case anyone is wondering and to put what Lolicon is referring to into slightly better context, this took place in the toy forum VF-31 thread (page 98/99) and I did voice my discontent that spoiler tags were not used to hide a pivotal incident taking place in Macross Delta. This was early December 2016 with Macross Delta I believe only finishing late September. I suppose everyone has a different definition of what is "long-finished", personally for me that is not a couple of months. It was only one post/complaint and no additional "whining" on the matter from my side. The forum member apologized, corrected their previous posting and that was it basically. In response to your angry reply Lolicon (and perhaps others) - I was going to tinker with my posting to soften it. But the damage has been done and it would be the wrong approach here, as in trying to backtrack on a mistake, so I am going to leave it as is (original has been quoted anyway). Call it a bad choice of words, aggressive and thoughtless posting or an outright attack or insult on the whole Macross fanbase on my behalf - I will accept the accusations and will take the justified backlash and anti-postings that come with it. But I still stand by my opinion that Arcadia is just price gouging fans. The additional tampo printing should be there from start and should not really factor in to Arcadia's already high pricing all that much.

I am more disappointed that we did not get a Decepticon and preferably someone/something that does not carry the Micro Change heritage or is just an evil Autobot variant again. We need more like Galvatron, Blitzwing, Insecticons, Overlord, G2 Tank Megatron etc.- 16945 replies

Surprised they are doing well? With all those poor gullible Macross fans buying into Arcadia's Premium Finish nonsense...

It took DS9 a full two seasons for stuff to actually start happening. But I do agree that the pacing is way too slow. All previous shows were able to pull off introducing characters, some world exposition and providing us our first adventure within the space of 90 minutes. Anyway I have watched the first three episodes now and so far, so... ok I guess. I do not like the cursing, not a fan of how Starfleet is being portrayed or that again we have more uber secret societies to deal with, now the Rolulans have their own section 31... hur...rah... . For that last one I really blame DS9 for making secret orders, intelligence and the whole espionage thing a central part of Star Trek. We have never recovered ever since.

So... the major complaints seem to be the face, backpack, curvy waist/abdomen and - the big one - the chest cover positioning. The Face should not be an issue, if Takara continues the trend of supplying alternative faces. Backpack - it is what it is, I put it down to Movie/Season 3 shenanigans, not sure how one thinks all that car stuff can be hidden in a very feminine styled robot body. Regarding the curvy parts, I can live with it but I too would have appreciated a more angular approach. Personally, only the chest cover issue bugs me the most, sort of holding me back from really accepting this latest entry.- 16945 replies

Picture of a picture at an angle... If you look closer she does have edges and flattened sides around her waist and abdomen area. And if 3P offerings are going to be the measure, then Takara has nothing to worry about.- 16945 replies

Airbrake, backpack height and flight stand... really is that the most important thing everyone is getting from these images? How about we talk about the new forward swivel for the shoulder/arm or the additional bending range in the upper leg? IMO this new articulation gives Kitz's VF-1s a USP, confirm to me that it also has waist swivel and it would suddenly make Arcadia's and Bandai's implementation look a bit behind.
