  1. Some news from Takara today, we will probably see more of this at the T-Spark event in the coming week. First we have MPG-15 Rattrap – 15,000 Yen, September release. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/828571 The there is a tease of Synergex [Transformers x Macross 7] – Basara Prime https://www.taghobby.com/archives/803242 And finally a preview of Predaking from the Adamas Machina line – looks great if you ask me. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/792414
  2. Hatchaka review of MB Bellvine. Looks great, articulation doesn't seem to be limited and the review also mentions the joints are linked, meaning other parts will smoothly shift accordingly.
  3. Displayed at Yodobashi-Akiba.
  4. GQX's design apparently being busy and complex is pretty hilarious, if anything it's the exact opposite. Point your anger to AOZ stuff if that's the issue. This is the leanest looking introductory Gundam since I would say Exia. The design language employed here is very much form follows function and I'm not of the profession, but within the context of Gundam mecha this feels close to what real world industrial engineering would come up with – simplicity in the joints, cutouts in the right places for to achieve required motions, solutions that save on materials but work just as good (feet)... think easier manufacturing, easier maintenance, better cost/benefit rations etc.
  5. Official site: https://en.gundam.info/about-gundam/series-pages/gquuuuuux/ Those single sided hinge connection points on the GQX's limbs have a certain resemblance to the MAILeS mecha like Kenbu from Kyoukai Senki.
  6. Are you sure, have you looked at your credit/debit card account? This was my strategy too, because I didn't want to pay upfront but Amazon has already charged me. And to add insult to misery, I even went ahead and ordered the reissue Legioss Eta which was also been charged.
  7. And when the Alien Romulus trailer hit, it was a beautiful looking and lovely aromatic apple pie – people were singing praise, spreading the good word and doing jovial dances for this delicious food. Then they all went out of their way to taste a piece... and came back with food poisoning. 😉 There is an old Klingon proverb for all of this: Only a P'Takh judges a warriors strength by the Bat'leth they carry on their back!
  8. CCS Toys is introducing a new line called ARTIFACT-X (ATX) that will be at a new scale. Talk on the internet says the first entry is going from the video game Getter Robo: Daikessen followed by Goshogun.
  9. Hmm... honestly I'm inclined to pick one up if it is not too difficult and pricey to get, the limitations with old sculpt are not great annoy me. In a way it's good this is a bare bones release, so I can just slap on the other bits and pieces from the Kai (Alt. Strike ver.) I already have.
  10. Weird, I don't remember the trailers for Generations and First Contact being so detailed, they practically give away the whole movie. Kind of ironic, seeing how everyone these days complains how current trailers do that, seems like the nineties were not any better. Also, I really miss that trailer guy voice narration. As for the Generations movie... a lot of problematic aspects with this one. Nexus as a free for all space-time plot device... Then you have Picard's loss of family, which from a viewers point fails to trigger that emotional impact where you feel for the character. After the episode "Family" we never really hear or see from them again. Four years between that episode's first airing and the release of the movie!? Not sure why the producers thought this was a good story element to get viewers invested. Romulans should have had a bigger part in the movie instead of the Duras sisters – Tomalak should have been teaming up with Soran, only to double-cross and use the Nexus for his own intention of destroying the Federation or something like that. And probably the most wasted potential of this movie, was not having Kirk taking command of an Enterprise one last time, doing what he does best – fighting Klingons (or Romulans)!
  11. I could be wrong, but the Fatty doesn't seem to have the cockpit and pilot feature going for it?
  12. Looks like GX-117 will have the elbow Drill Missile, Iron Cutter and Jet Pilder now. So essentially Bandai conned everyone into buying the poverty spec. version GX-105.
  13. I know everyone is super hyped for Exia 2025, but lets pause that for a moment to talk about this... https://www.taghobby.com/archives/818400
  14. Ahh... Transformers Devastation, good times, The game is great, felt like a lost G1 cartoon episode at times. Shame the first toy entry for it is victim to Hasbro's heavy handed budget constraints. A Takara MP of Devastation OP would be a fantastic proposition, but highly unlikely.
  15. So far I have abstained from these, but the new Illustrious Class has piqued my interest due to it being in that more compatible "Gundam scale" at about 18 cm height.
  16. I'm in for this, the only concern I have is that the wrists end up too loose and won't be able to hold weapons in place. Other nitpicks would be the shoulder pivot, which could have had better range and that Moshow should have given it proper emotion manipulators instead of swap-out hands as well as a longer sword.
  17. The MSN-04FF Sazabi was part of a special animation for the opening of the Gundam Side-F at La La Port Fukuoka where they have the life size Nu Gundam RX-93ff statue. The Chogokin Sazabi and Nu Gundam are roughly about 20/21 cm in height, they are NOT proper 1/100 scale. The Chogokin Gundam EX on the other hand is listed as being 18.5 cm tall which would make it exactly 1/100 scale.
  18. Review of what looks like a pre-production unit (?)
