The Poor 1/60 VF-1S nevery gets any love

I'm sure they will be floating around for awhile. Nothing has been said about this bieng a limited release. I don't think we'll see 300 dollar Q-Raus on Ebay

Auctions on E-bay are already up for the Q-rau. The Box looks really good. I'm glad to see a yamato box with something other than a VF. Now when are the Regults coming out?

A general concern. The box looks too DYRL-ish. Even though the Prometheus and Daedalas are present. I think the top should be Hickaru's 1J.

Wow! with nobody buying them, I'm going to wait six months for the price to drop!

One thing to keep in mind is that this is a Box for SDF macross. I would much rather see Hikaru's VF-1J rather than the DYRL strike or VF-1A.

I think it's a great idea. If the price is relatively cheap. How much money do you think were looking at? I can see spending 20-30$. By the way. The link is dead.

It's a Macross Toy and It's by Yamato. I'm sure I'll love it. I like the Idea of a cheaper toy. I don't know if I would spend more than 100 bucks for a M0 Toy in a larger scale. Which I'm sure is what it would cost. I also like the Idea of interchangable noses. Swapping parts doesn't bug me one bit.

Grayson, Those twin CFs are beautiful! For the fastpacks I like to use Royal Blue by Tamiya X-3. This my be a little dark for some tastes. But I find it quite appealling.

I lucked out and found a hobby store 25 minutes from my house that carrys tamiya. The best thing to do is pick up your local yellow pages, call and ask if they carry Tamiya. I have used an online retailer before. Buts it's hard picking out the right colors. I'll see if I can dig up the link.

Thanks for the info Graham. I like the Idea of swappable nosecones. That'll definately had some value to the toy. The swappable parts don't bug me as much as others. Also, I think the lack of die-cast is a plus. That should help keep the cost down plus keep the paint job looking good. At first 1:100 seems like a let down, I'm thankful there is a M0 line coming out. Look at the plus side after shelling out all this money for 1/48s, Monster, and Q-rau Yamato is giving there customers what they want. A break on the Wallet. To everybody who's having/had kids congrats. I envy you guys! JawJaw did you say you had three on the way?

It's still pretty cool no matter what scale. If it truly is 1:100 I'll pick one up if it's less than 50 bucks. But the pictures only show a prototype and the only other information we have is it's 1:100. I'm willing to bet the final scale will be a bit larger.

The J and S have a helmet look to them. I like the A's a little better. They seem a little more practical for a 50 ft tall robot. The J looks cool and all but, what kind of use can it get out of that chin? It does look better than a valk with lips.

The number on the right wing is clearly visible if that's not enough let's just paint a big yellow strip across the body of the plane.

One good point to mention is: Why give your ace pilots or higher ranking officers an indicator of who they are? Clearly if the enemy realizes that 001 is the squadron commander why not just gang up on that plane and take it out and leave the rest of the squadron is dis-array. The same can hold for the 1J theory. The enemy could realize these aren't standard planes by there markings thus changing attack stratagies.

Don't get me wrong. I'm just dismayed because I want them all and at almost 200 dollars a pop well..... I'm still playing catch up with the 1/48 DYRL valks. I am glad Yamato is putting out the Max and Millia in 1/48 scale. For me though, My 1/60's just don't hold as much stock for me has they once did. Especially when you have your 1/60 FPd Hikaru sitting next to the 1/48 1J. The 1/60 just takes a back seat. I hope the GPB armor breaths new life into it. I guess it's about time to start paying the stockpiled CC bills from the 1/60's
